I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

The first time he kissed me, we kept it a secret.
Tanner and I have been at each other’s throats ever since.
The second time he kissed me, I told myself not to fall.
I should have known something burned beneath the surface and I couldn’t resist him.
The third time led to something more and now one positive test later, neither one of us can walk away.
Only when his past sheds light on every difference we’ve chosen to ignore, we’ll have to fight for each other, or lose everything before we’ve even had a chance.

A bittersweet goodbye! I have really enjoyed Carrie Ann Ryan’s On My Own series, so it’s both exciting and disappointing to devour this last book in the series. Tanner and Natalie both have a backstory that adds a bit of drama to their relationship and the back drop of the friends we’ve already seen fall in love and settle in is always a delight. I wish there were more roommates!

Tanner has always been brusque and steadfast, and he still is even as his relationship starts to develop with Natalie. I think his past relationship should have been developed a whole lot more than it was, but I enjoyed him very much as a character.

Natalie needed a bit more of that girls time that we saw a lot more in the previous books to show her strength in the ongoing friendships that really made this series, but her connection with Tanner kept her solid and interesting.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a college age romance that has two groups of friends who start coupling up and bringing a relationship aspect to what was a long running friendship as each finds love.
