SOMETIMES THE BEST GIFTS CAN’T BE WRAPPED

All Mandy Carson wants for Christmas is a distraction…and maybe a date to her friend’s New Year’s Eve wedding. Ghosts from the past always loom larger this time of year, and Mandy’s having a hard time faking her usual fun-loving demeanor. But when her much-needed distraction arrives in the form of the man who rocked her world the long-ago night of their junior prom, she’s forced to confront the painful scars that caused her to bolt back in high school.

Wildlife rescuer Calvin Rocha always regretted letting Mandy slip out of his life, so when fate brings them together on a snowy mountain road with an injured hawk on Christmas Eve, he’s determined to make the most of this second chance. He agrees to be her wedding date, hoping the romantic weekend will bring them back together. And as the clock counts down to midnight, Cal and Mandy might just discover that the best gift they’ll receive this season is each other.

Short, sexy and oh so sweet! A sweet novella taking place around the holidays does a great job of wrapping up Rachel Lacey’s Risking It All series as well as tying in her newest Almost Royal series so we get a glimpse into two worlds at once! The characters were as well developed as they can be in a novella length book, and the plot, though fast paced, was sweet and enjoyable.

Mandy Carson finds herself taking a walk down memory lane when she least expects it when she runs into Calvin Rocha by chance. The sexy wildlife rehabilitator rocked her world once upon a time before life sent them in different directions. She’s trying to bury the past by enjoying the holiday season and the upcoming wedding she’s attending.

Cal had a crush on Mandy long before their one night of passion and he’s regretted letting her slip through his fingers many times over the years. He’s happy to step up and offer to be her date to this wedding if it means getting some one on one time with her again. She might only be looking for right now, but he’s hoping to convince her to take a look at forever!

The first in a new romantic suspense series featuring the rugged special ops unit tucked away in Alaska's Grizzly Harbor from USA Today bestselling author Megan Crane.

The last thing Blue Hendricks needs six months into his uneasy reentry into civilian life is trouble in the form of his old friend's kid sister, all grown up and smack in the middle of a dangerous murder investigation. But he didn't become a SEAL to turn his back on the hard stuff, and he can't bring himself to ignore Everly's call for help--no matter how much he knows he's not fit to be around the soft, vibrant woman she's become. Not after the things he's done.

Everly Campbell is desperate. When her roommate is murdered and the body vanishes, Everly fears she might be next. With no one to believe her, Everly runs to a remote Alaskan town to find a man she only vaguely remembers and his crew of ex-military brothers who could be her only hope. Blue wants to keep things all business but Everly isn't a little girl anymore and the commanding former SEAL is more temptation than she can resist.

As the men on Everly's trail draw closer, Blue will do anything to protect the woman he's starting to think of as his...

She’s in a killer’s sights! With the first book in the Alaska Force series, we get the story of former Navy SEAL Blue and a childhood friend who comes to him for help. The characters were interesting and there was a lot of potential in this story, but unfortunately it fell flat of developing an edge of my seat excitement that this reader needs to enjoy a romantic suspense. If you’re looking for a small town romance feel with a hint of mystery then this is the story for you!

Everly Campbell unwittingly finds herself in a dire situation. She’s sure she witnessed her roommate being murdered and saw the faces of the men doing it, but the police are telling her there are no signs of anything happening in their apartment and suspecting her of wrong doing! She finds herself running to a remote Alaska town hoping to find help from a man she hasn’t seen in years, but is rumored to have the ability to rescue her from this nightmare!

Former Navy SEAL Blue Hendricks has only been re-introducing himself to civilian life for a few months now and as luck would have it, the stories of finding a home with an unsanctioned team of ex-military men in Grizzly Harbor, Alaska came true. He doesn’t want to see someone from his past, and he sure doesn’t want to head back to his hometown in order to help her uncover the mystery surrounding her … but he can’t say no to the fear and desperation on her face!

Her last-minute plus one…

A prince in disguise!

Waitress Melinda Osmon is dreading attending her work Christmas ball alone for the first time since her ex took everything from her. But a little Christmas magic brings her a savior in the form of mysterious, gorgeous Ray. Yet the happy ending of Mel’s festive fairytale is uncertain — Ray is Crown Prince Rayhan al Saibbi and soon he must choose... Mel, or duty to his kingdom.

A delightful holiday read! Secrets might be allowing this relationship to grow, but it doesn’t hinder the connection the two characters have with each other. The secondary characters were a fun addition as well and kept me smiling. Satisfying!

Waitress Melinda Osmon is dreading accepting her yearly invitation to a charity ball. She has always loved attending, but this year her cheater ex is going to be attending with his new fiancee, and she can’t stand thinking about the humiliation! When a gorgeous stranger enters her life at just the right time, she begins to think things might be looking up!

Crown prince of Verdovia, Rayhan al Saibbi is having one last undercover dalliance in before he has to settle in to his future structured lifestyle. When he stumbles across Mel, he can’t help but be drawn in by her. A momentary distraction turns into much more as he lives his little make-believe life for as long as he can squeeze in before duty calls.
