Taylor

I wanted a baby — no strings, no messy emotions. Just a donor I could trust — my best friend. He didn’t hesitate or ask why. He said yes… with one condition: no clinics, no cold procedures. Just him — his bed, his way. I should have said no. But I wanted this. And I didn’t realise how much I wanted him. I told myself I could handle it — keep my heart locked tight. But the moment he touched me, all those lies fell apart. Now I’m falling — for a man who never promised me anything but his body. And my deepest desire risks becoming my darkest downfall. But now there’s no turning back.

Axel

She asked me to give her a baby. No love. No future. Just a piece of me. I’m not a good man. I’m not the kind you build a life with. But this… this was my one chance to touch heaven and pretend it wouldn’t burn me alive. So I took her. Over and over. Knowing she’ll never be mine. But now I’m addicted. Possessive. I don’t want just her body — I want her soul. Her future. Her everything. And when she walks away — like we both know she will — it’ll break me. Because I’d give her the world… But I’ll never be worthy of it.

Explosive chemistry and heartfelt love shines bright in the next book in Rachael Stewart’s Filthy Rich Billionaires series! I highly recommend you read the first book in the series before grabbing this one, because a lot of the backstory is left out, so you’ll enjoy it much more if you know what happened with Sadie, Theo and Taylor, etc in the last book first. The characters are best friends and love each other hard even before agreeing to a baby making bargain that brings true feelings and desires to the forefront and has passion burning up the pages. This book is fast paced and steamy and has all the feels of lifelong friendships and heart wrenching dreams that get intermixed with healing, devotion and comfort. I love this trio of best friends and the lives they are mingling into their future. In order to be a standalone, it truly needs more background built into it, but if you’re following the series book for book, you’ll do just fine. Axel and Taylor are great together!

They weren’t looking for love…
until a four-legged friend came along.

After a devastating injury derails his military career, Logan Brock agrees to help his best friend run a dog rescue farm. When vet tech Virginia Chapman brings her defiant son, Tyler, on her rounds, things initially don’t go well. But the single mom appreciates Logan’s patience toward her child and recognizes an opportunity. Logan soon becomes the mentor Tyler needs as they all begin to bond over the care of a troubled stray dog. But will rehabbing and training Bravo be enough to help them overcome old wounds…and consider a new future together as a family?

An emotional and heartfelt lesson in healing! The next book in the K-9 Companions book from Ciara Knight is quick to hook and easy to enjoy. While a bit more spiritual than is generally portrayed in this series there was enough connection with the characters to make it be able to overlook the overdone preaching and let the message of the characters heart carry you through the story. I enjoyed the addition of her son Tyler and the dogs around the ranch. The main characters both have dealt with their share of grief and heartache, but find their way towards healing and happily ever after with the support of the other and the camaraderie of their friends. There are several powerful messages that endear the characters and make for a special story. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a character with faith and ability to learn to better themselves and the love they allow into their heart.

Trust doesn’t come easily when you’ve been running for as long as I have, which is why moving in with a man I barely know is such a bad idea.

Shepard Colson is all golden-boy charm and devastating good looks. But I know what it’s like to be taken in by easy smiles and the promise of forever—I have the scars to prove it.

Only the handsome contractor won’t stop coming by the bakery and prying little truths from my lips—those amber eyes of his seeing far too much. And when all the secrets come crashing down, he’s determined to keep me safe, even if it means moving into my rundown cabin to do it.

Now, Shep isn’t just rebuilding the walls of my home; he’s working his way into my heart. Suddenly, he’s everywhere: shirtless in my garden or in a towel coming out of my bathroom. And my resolve is no match.

Only it’s more than his golden looks. It’s him. The way he watches for my wounds but tells me I’m stronger than anyone he’s ever known. And I can’t help but fall.

But I should’ve known better than to think I could be happy—not when a ghost from my past still has me in his sights. And when he finds me, he’ll do anything to tear my life apart, even if it means ending it for good…

An emotional love story filled with exhilarating suspense and heartfelt humor! If you fell in love with the Colson family in the first book in Catherine Cowles’ Sparrow Falls series like I did, you’ll be thrilled to see them all back and up to  shenanigans when Shepard falls for Sutton’s co-worker/friend Thea who we know from that first book has a boatload of secrets to unpack. We quickly get to the heart of the turmoil Thea has been living through for the last few years and get to watch as Shep turns protective and sets out to get help from his bro Trace and his bestie Anson to keep her safe and get her life back for her. Lots of love, laughter and heart throughout with some twists thrown into the mix as well to keep us on our toes. Great characters, well developed storyline and a general feel good moment around this whole fam. Loved it and highly recommend the series to anyone who enjoys a family centric story with lots of heart and humor as one sibling after another finds their forever love with a suspenseful ride getting to that happily ever after.

Cowboy bachelor today…

Father of two tomorrow?

Pregnant with twins, newly single Trish Dempsey hopes for a fresh start at her late father's ranch. Trish wants to turn Four Corners into a home for her and her children, as well as a new business. There's just one catch—Brett Lemmon and his brothers already live there, and she’ll have to convince them to go along with her plan. Rugged and hardworking, Brett is the most stubborn—and the most attractive. He put everything he had into making Four Corners a working ranch. Now he must compromise with the frustrating and beautiful Trish. The more time they spend together, the more he realizes that the real threat she poses is to his bachelor status!

A drama filled delight! If you’ve been reading along in Lisa Childs’ Bachelor Cowboys series from Harlequin Heartwarming, you’ll recognize all of the key players in this story. For the first couple of books in the series we’ve been hearing about Frank’s daughter Trish who was contesting the will in which he left his ranch to the Lemmon brothers in addition to her and her cousin Frankie. This book finally brings Trish and her explanation home to the ranch. I liked her well enough, but I like the Lemmon family more, so her coming in with a plan for the ranch and just assuming she could oust them was a bit irritating. It all works out in the end, but the ending was still a bit abrupt for my liking … I am looking forward to getting more of Nolan’s story for sure. Great characters who have a core foundation from previous books, lots of heart and so much family goodness in the background. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who loves a good natured cowboy who works hard and falls even harder when his soulmate crosses his path.
