5 STARS!
I really enjoyed this book! Jennifer Faye did a wonderful job of creating Whistle Stop, New Mexico into a town you want to visit and settle into yourself. I can’t wait to delve in even further with the next book 🙂
Cord Lawson is a rancher living a very solitary life. He feels like the town doesn’t like him because of past experiences with them. He’s now on the verge of having his ranch foreclosed on by the bank unless he can come up with the money to pay the balloon payment on the loan. He’s trying to sell part of his land, but so far has had no interest.
Alexis Greer is a land developer from New York City. She comes to town because she saw the listing for Cord’s land and is very interested, but there was a mistake in the listing and and the land that she’s wanting, is the part that he has no intention of selling because of family history.
Cord and Lexi are drawn to each other. They each want the other to bend into doing things the way they want them with the deal, but can’t fight the attraction they are feeling for each other all the while. Will they be able to find a solution that lets them both get they want? And when all is said and done, will they have a future together?
