Dramatic and sincere! The second book in Janie Crouch’s San Antonio Security series with Harlequin Intrigue is bringing us Brax’s story and several heart pounding tales merge to form one fast paced delight of a read. I loved the characters and their connection was meaningful. There was a lot to keep track of with all of the various bad guys circling at once, but it was an addictive journey.

Brax is a sweetheart and watching him step up for an innocent baby without a second thought was really heartwarming. I enjoyed his story and look forward to more from this family.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys a tightly woven family who is always involved in an intriguing story line as one brother after another finds their forever love amid danger and mystery.

I loved the characters and the back story of each and was invested in their happily ever after. I did feel like it wasn’t truly a stand-alone story though because we are left wondering about a lot having to do with her sister instead of having it play out in both books of the duet. I’m looking forward to reading the conclusion in the final book.

I was more drawn to Gianni and his success story with his cousin than I was in Issy’s revenge plot. I felt like he was successful after hardship and continued to work hard to gain the prestige he wants while she believes what she remembers from childhood without truly getting her facts straight. They complement each other with an intriguing storyline.

An utterly addictive fan-girl delight! I’m sure I’m not the only one squealing at the top of my lungs to be reunited with Shaughnessy again and seeing our favorite band manager/agent Mick get his truly deserved happily ever after. It’s like visiting old friends to see this group of characters again and the emotion we get wrapped up in regarding Mick’s life choices is powerful. I loved every minute of this heartfelt delight and was overjoyed for touches of the Shaughnessy family mixed in as well. I’m crossing my fingers Chase decides to do a second gen series down the road with all of those kiddos who are growing up fast so I can bury myself in the warmth of this family for years to come.

Mick has been the backbone of this band for all of the years that we’ve been devouring their exploits and I always wanted to see what was beneath the surface with him, so getting to know what made him tick and who he left behind was a real treat. This book allowed us to see his emotional depth, his fun side and so much sexy goodness.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series of both the Band on the Run and the Shaughnessy Brothers to anyone that enjoys emotional storylines with tight-knit friend and family support systems as life churns one surprise after another.

Boone has the rep of a player, but the emotional depth we see from him when the stakes are high with his family really endears him to the reader even before we grow addicted to his spark with Jolie.

Jolie is not as easy to like as Boone is because in all honesty she’s a bit of a flake who lets others control too big of aspects of her life, but she redeems herself a tad when she falls for Boone.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys a steamy hockey romance with a tight knit team that loves to welcome the next guys forever love into the picture.

Cole is a complex character. He’s an awesome father and strives to be a good man, but his teen selfishness still comes back to bite him after all of this time. He’s easy to like and easy to forgive for his mistakes.

Eden is kind and fragile and easily misunderstood by most. I really liked her and was happy to see her heal and find her place in the world.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a sports romance with a whole lot of heart and drama behind the scenes.

Delectable angsty goodness! The core characters of this book snagged my attention quickly and delighted me with their lust-filled attraction, sassy conversations and heartfelt connections. There’s a bit of a dilemma early on when Nore realizes Joaquin is the half-brother of the man that yanked her heart out and stomped on it not so long ago, but the goodness wins out over the heartache in this captivating story. Strong back stories, intense steam and such a sweet connection easily held my heart throughout.

I highly recommend this book to anyone that loves angsty drama mixed into your steamy romance. There’s passion, angst and healing all mixed into one fine read!

I recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys a sweet cowboy romance with easy to love characters, sweet romance and meaningful connections.
