The terms of his deal:

One week alone in paradise

Renowned billionaire Lucas Rothwell has a secret he will keep from the world’s media. And he’s shut everything and everyone out to do so. Until gentle wedding planner Ruby Pennington arrives on his mansion doorstep seeking his help—and discovers the truth.

In exchange Lucas requests payment in kind: a week on his private Greek island, where Ruby will assist in shielding him from the spotlight. But can this determined Cinderella convince Lucas she’s the one person he should let in when seven days become seven dangerously decadent nights?

Attention grabbing plot! The first book in the Weddings Worth Billions series is an interesting take on an unrequited crush story. The characters are easy enough to like, and the plot was entertaining but a bit choppy with a few spots that needed more development. Overall an enjoyable read.

Lucas is successful and in demand, but he’s hiding out in one of his luxury properties from real life for a bit. I enjoyed what we got to know of him.

Ruby is sweet with an innocence to her that aids in her likeability.

I recommend this book to anyone that likes a bit of a reunion story that centers on a past crush and the reconnection that makes them see more about each other than ever before.

Could a surprise baby

Lead to a forever family?

Ineffective, shortsighted and self-centered—that’s what top family lawyer Leah Ellis thinks of Gil Hamilton. And that’s why she’s vying for his position as mayor of Butterfly Harbor. But when a six-month-old baby is left on Gil’s doorstep, he turns to her for help. Gil’s dedication to baby Eli shows Leah she was wrong about her rival. But can he win her vote for a future together?

A gorgeous, yet bittersweet conclusion! Butterfly Harbor quickly became a small town easy for a reader to sink their teeth into and remember each character throughout story after story like a homecoming each time we got to visit. With the final book in the series, I just knew Mayor Gil was going to somehow pull just the right inducement out of his pocket to make me fall hard for him and realize he wasn’t as bad as he’s been painted out to be all of these years … and he did not disappoint! I’m going to miss this series of characters, but I have wholeheartedly enjoyed each and every journey they have taken me along for!

Gil has been an attention grabbing character right from the start, but this book shows us a side to him we didn’t exactly get to see in the past. I really enjoyed watching his redemption come to life.

Leah is a real go-getter and has the town’s interests at heart, but she doesn’t know all that Gil has really been doing behind the scenes when she steps in to oust him as Mayor.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a small town romance filled to the top with heartfelt characters, emotional journeys and so many awe inspiring happily ever afters. I recommend you read the series in order for maximum enjoyment.

To catch a killer

they’ll need to find the evidence.

When the investigation into her look-alike cousin’s death stalls, former army intelligence officer Brooke Moore arrives in Texas searching for justice—and is thrust into the middle of a deadly conspiracy. Now she must turn to her cousin’s ex, FBI agent Colby Avery, for help. But with every clue leading them deeper into danger, they must uncover the truth…before they are buried with it.

Highly addictive suspense! The fifth book in the Cowboy Lawmen series was quick to catch my attention and kept me guessing until the end. I didn’t connect quite as easily with this couple as I have some previously in the series, but the core plot was intriguing. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

Brooke has a commanding personality and is intent on finding out exactly what happened to her cousin no matter what danger she might be putting herself into.

Colby is easy to like and I would have liked to have delved a little more into his family to set the scene a little more for anyone that hasn’t been reading the series in order.

I recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a faith based romance with a strong intrigue plot.

Veronique Vincent is a star. At age twenty-two, she is one of the most sought-after models in fashion, gracing the covers of magazines and walking the runways of haute couture shows across the globe. Yet, despite being the consummate professional, Veronique wants little of the glamorous life that modeling affords her. The beloved daughter of a hardworking single mother, she has always preferred spending time at home or with her kindhearted boyfriend to attending lavish parties. When a quick getaway presents a welcome break on the heels of Paris Fashion Week, and before a Vogue cover shoot in Tokyo, Veronique is thrilled, eager to escape the mayhem of her busy schedule. Then, out of nowhere, a tragic explosion at Zaventem Airport in Brussels changes her life forever.

The ruthless terrorist attack has the entire world on edge. Veronique finds herself hospitalized and alone, devastated to learn that the blast has killed both of the people she loved most. She is also forced to confront the harsh reality that she has been severely injured, her famous appearance forever altered. As she plunges into seclusion, the industry that once adored her believes her to have fallen off the map. In truth, she is struggling to find herself again after losing everything, and to discover what truly matters in life. But her mother’s will, accompanied by a letter Veronique never knew existed, reveals long-held secrets, introducing her to a world she hadn’t even known was possible.

As Veronique forges bonds old and new, she begins to see a light beyond the darkness she has come to inhabit, finding peace in opportunities to help others, and redefining for herself what beauty is, and what it truly means to be beautiful. Danielle Steel presents a story of one woman’s breathtaking perseverance in moving beyond tragedy to a life more meaningful than she could ever have imagined.

An emotional journey towards healing and rediscovery! Danielle Steel delivers a heartfelt tale in BEAUTIFUL that hooked me from the very start and kept me captivated until the end. Her main character is rich in substance and tenacity and gives the reader a strong platform to fixate on as she displays courage and perseverance throughout turmoil. Powerfully written and wholeheartedly enjoyed!

Veronique is an unforgettable character of strength and fortitude. She has the world at her fingertips when at the blink of an eye it all disappears and she’s left to pick up the shattered pieces. I admired her dignity and reveled in her new found cause.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a story that delves into the emotional journey one must go on when life hands you a box full of lemons and demands you become creative.

One dance at a stranger’s wedding. That’s all it took for me to fall for Alexis.
And then? Disaster. Another man—her boyfriend—gets down on one knee and proposes to her.

I never thought I’d see her again.

Years later, I’m in desperate need of a wedding planner—not for myself, but for my company.

My five brothers and I need to get our new Wilder Resort off the ground, and Alexis is the only one savvy enough to help us.

But there’s the little matter that I still have it bad for her. Alexis has changed since the night we met. She’s gun shy. But there’s a spark between us that will not die. We both fight it, until we don’t.

Until history repeats itself. The same guy who took her away from me is back to do more damage. But this time he’ll have to go through me to get her.

Decadently delicious! This steamy match up between eldest brother Eli and Alexis is sure to please as Carrie Ann Ryan turns on the heat and drama in the first book in The Wilder Brothers series. ONE WAY BACK TO ME introduces this set of siblings who are banding together after leaving the military to love and support their way into a thriving business … hopefully! The basic premise is fun and caught my attention quickly. I would have liked a tad more development in spots, but overall I liked the feel of the series and look forward to watching each brother meet their match.

Eli is a stand up guy looking to make a go of this business with his brothers that is coming about just as they all needed it. He’s honest, trustworthy and more than a touch naughty, just the way I like ‘em!

Alexis is sweet and sincere, but she’s made some bad choices in her life that keep coming back to bite her.

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a close knit group of siblings who interact in business on a daily basis as each one stumbles across their very own forever.

It’s not every day that you see a dead body at the beach. Or the woman of your dreams sitting next to that dead body.

Price Crow first saw Sabrina Proctor in the middle of a hurricane.

She’d been sitting next to her dead best friend, who’d passed away on the beach, with no way to get her back home, thanks to the world’s worst luck, and one hell of a storm.

So Price does what any decent person would do: he carries Sabrina’s dead best friend to their beach house and doesn’t leave her side until he’s forced to.

He had every intention of bridging that gap, of checking up on her and making sure she was okay, but life is funny and has a way of making a mockery of the best-laid plans.

Despite one hell of a connection, under the worst of circumstances, they go their separate ways. At least, he tries to. But he can’t stop thinking about her, and it becomes apparent, very fast, that he has a decision to make.

Choose Sabrina, or live out the rest of his life making everyone else around him happy except for himself.

Such emotional depth! Lani Lynn Vale has a way with tearing your heart out and putting it slowly back together again when she writes about loss in her books. Tears are often near, but just as quickly she can have you smiling through the sad at some of the adorable antics her characters get into for love. The story almost always could shine a little more with some further development, but sometimes the way the emotion can reach you means EVERYTHING.

Price is loving, loyal and fierce and I loved every minute of him.

Sabrina is strong and resolute as life’s unfairness touches her way too often. I love the way she can move forward through the weight of the world.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys a close knit family that isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty when it comes to protecting their loved ones, righting wrongs and finding their forever love.

A summer of healing, friendship, love…and a secret that could change everything.

After the death of her US senator father, Marlow Madsen travels to the small island off the coast of Florida where she spent summers growing up to help her mother settle the family estate. For Marlow, the trip is a chance to reconnect after too long apart. It’s also the perfect escape to help her feel grounded again—one she’s happy to share with friends Aida and Claire, who are hoping to hit reset on their lives, too.

A leisurely beachfront summer promises the trio of women the opportunity to take deep healing breaths and explore new paths. But when her father’s will reveals an earth-shattering secret that tarnishes his impeccable reputation and everything she thought she knew about her family, Marlow finds herself questioning her entire childhood—and aspects of her future. Fortunately, her friends, and the most unlikely love interest she could imagine, prove that happiness can be found no matter what—as long as the right people are by your side.

This beach read is sure to hook you from the very start! Love, friendship and loss are front and center as we delve into Brenda Novak’s SUMMER ON THE ISLAND and as the story unravels a good bit of drama enters the picture. For me I’m less likely to sink deeply into enjoyment when there is a lot of pandemic talk in the story since let’s face it, we’ve all had to live it personally way too much right now, so it starts out iffy for me, but I quickly got drawn into the characters and enjoyed their stories regardless.

Marlow is kind-hearted and easy to like. The drama that this trip opens up for her is unexpected, but the she also gains love and understanding throughout.

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a dramatic women’s fiction story with strong elements of romance chock full of attention grabbing characters and love, laughter and angst enough to fill your heart.

To catch the unknown suspect, Dallas partners with Outrider Levi Warren, a former Delta Force operative living with PTSD. Their dogged investigation riddled with gangs, drugs and death threats sparks an unexpected attraction…one they may not survive.

Whiskey Gulch hooked me again! With the fourth book in The Outriders Series Elle James delivers a fast paced jaunt into danger with SETUP AT WHISKEY GULCH and I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Dallas is easy to connect with and an interesting character to get to know and follow into danger and back. I enjoyed her.

Levi is a solid addition to the Outriders and his determination to help Dallas stay safe was endearing.

I recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys a little drama mixed with highly intense intrigue and a satisfying romance.

Billionaire Nick Dare is a man who takes charge. He runs the hotel arm of the family empire and his life revolves around business and travel. A quick stop at his brother's movie premier has him doing a double take.

The woman who haunts his dreams is there. He’s been given a second chance and is determined to make the most of it.

When he learns about their daughter, Nick becomes a man on a mission. Aurora and their child are his. Even if he has to knock down Aurora’s emotional walls to prove it.

An explosive reconnection! Carly Phillips is outdoing herself on the steamy goodness when she has a Kingston collide with a Dare and fireworks ensue in JUST ONE DARE! We’ve all known we’d one day uncover the secrets that Aurora brought with her into the Kingston family when she was discovered early on in the series as a long-lost sibling … we just never could have imagined they might include a side of the scrumptious Dare family! I loved every single minute of Aurora and Nick!

Aurora is sweet and sincere and seeing the mother and philanthropist she’s worked hard to become is endearing.

Nick is self-assured and yummy and I loved seeing them reconnect.

When Kynan McGrath approached me about joining Jameson Force Security, I jumped at the chance. Just call me Dozer Burney, one half of the genius duo who keeps the team at the forefront of security technology. The move from NASA to Jameson also put me back on the east coast, closer to those who mean the most to me.

Jessica Anderson has been my best friend since college. A single mom who found herself mixed up with a dangerous man years ago, she’s been living a safe, quiet life in Miami after helping police put him behind bars. We both knew her safety, and that of her daughter, was reliant on him staying locked up. So when I see an alert that he’s escaped from his maximum security prison, I know where he’s heading to exact his revenge.

Now it’s a race against time to get to Jessica before he does.

Protecting her with my life is easy, because there’s one thing I’ve never admitted to anyone, not even myself—I have been in love with Jessica Anderson since the day I met her. And if we both make it out alive, I’ll make sure she knows it every day for the rest of our lives.

Non-stop intrigue topped off with a sweet love story! Sawyer Bennett is known for wrapping the tough guys of Jameson Force Security around her reader’s hearts as they jump into mission after mission and CODE NAME: REVENGE is keeping the intrigue and suspense high like normal but it’s also throwing in a side of sweet when Dozer brings his BFF into the mix. I loved every minute!

Dozer is lovable and endearing and watching him be thrown into a situation that is a little out of his brainiac wheelhouse is fulfilling.

I loved Jessica and everything about the love and friendship they have shared through the years.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a suspenseful series that always has a happily ever after to wrap it up after keeping us on our toes the entire story to see what’s going to happen to the guys next.
