The characters each have a powerful backstory and more than their fair share of pain that they each carry on their shoulders. I enjoyed getting to know them and seeing their connection grow until they could each finally allow someone else into the darkness they’ve been suffering and set out to heal their wounds. The plot of this book was very powerful and really addictive. I loved every minute of their story and can’t wait for more to come in the series! Highly recommend to fans of former military heroes who make it their life’s mission to keep people secure.
