** Book Review ** APB: BABY by Julie Miller

APB-BABY

4 1/2 STARS!

As the first book of an exciting new series by author Julie Miller, APB: BABY knocked it out of the park!  The first scene is a happy family scene, and then terror strikes!  When another mystery is introduced shortly after, we know we are in for an all out nail biter!  I really enjoyed the depth of the characters and the great family backdrop … the only thing I would have loved to see just a little more of, was romance between the main characters.  I’m looking forward to Book 2 in the The Precinct: Bachelors in Blue series!

Kansas City Medical Examiner Niall Watson is emotionally watching his little sister marry her soulmate one minute, then the next there’s a shooting taking place!  He arrives home exhausted after hours of stress to find an abandoned baby screaming his head off at his neighbor’s apartment.

Social worker Lucy McKane has had a crush on her neighbor Niall for ages, but he’s one of these nerdy scientist types that is oblivious to people around him, so she doesn’t think he hardly even knows she’s alive, much less that she likes him.  When she arrives home and he tells her about the baby he found at her house, they set out to find out who he belongs to and how to keep him safe when danger seems to find her everywhere she goes!
