Alone in the world, Tae Holmes and her mother April pretty much raised each other, but as Tae starts asking questions about the father she’s never met, April, for the first time in her life, goes silent. To make matters worse, Tae is dangerously close to broke and just manages to avoid financial meltdown when she lands a shiny new contract with an adventure company for athletes with disabilities and wounded warriors.

Her first big fundraiser event falls flat, but what starts out as a terrible, horrible, no-good night turns into something else entirely when Tae finds herself face-to-face with Riggs Copeland. She hasn’t seen the former Marine since their brief fling in high school, and while still intensely drawn to him, she likes her past burned and buried, thank you very much. Hence their friendship pact.

But when April oddly refuses to help Tae track down her father, it’s Riggs who unexpectedly comes to her aid. On a hunt to unlock the past, the two of them find themselves on a wild ride and learn a shocking truth, while also reluctantly bonding in a way neither had seen coming. Now Tae must decide whether she’s going to choose love … or walk away from her own happiness.

Shalvis is synonymous with humor and heartfelt characters! The second book in the Sunrise Cove series brings together two scarred souls who once crossed paths at pivotal moments in each others lives and are now passing in the wind … until feelings start to grow, secrets are uncovered that could change everything and happily ever after doesn’t seem so impossible anymore. Highly enjoyed this story!

Tae is feisty and tenacious and doesn’t believe life is the sunshine and roses that some try to pass it off to be. I really enjoyed seeing her let her guard down when it came to Riggs, yet still play hard ball about not letting him think he had won her over.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys down to earth characters with hearts of gold and sass galore.

Lillie Silva knew life as an empty nester would be hard after her only child left for college, but when her husband abruptly dumps her for another woman just as her son leaves, her world comes crashing down. Besides the fact that this announcement is a complete surprise (to say the least), what shocks Lillie most is that she isn’t heartbroken. She’s furious.

Lillie has loved her life on Cape Cod, but as a mother, wife, and nurse-midwife, she’s used to caring for other people . . . not taking care of herself. Now, alone for the first time in her life, she finds herself going a little rogue. Is it over the top to crash her ex-husband’s wedding dressed like the angel of death? Sure! Should she release a skunk into his perfect new home? Probably not! But it beats staying home and moping.

She finds an unexpected ally in her glamorous sister, with whom she’s had a tense relationship all these years. And an unexpected babysitter in, of all people, Ben Hallowell, the driver in a car accident that nearly killed Lillie twenty years ago. And then there’s Ophelia, her ex-husband’s oddly lost niece, who could really use a friend.

It’s the end of Lillie’s life as she knew it. But sometimes the perfect next chapter surprises you . . . out of the clear blue sky.

An exhilarating dash of love, life and laughter as one life crumbles and another begins! There is a lot of goodness in this story of loss, reconnection and growth as life as one knew it drastically changes, but the growth she learns from it makes her stronger than ever in the end. There’s witty humor that will really tickle your funny bone and there is an emotional depth in several of the characters that will be easily relatable. While it felt a little long-winded and disjointed on occasion when flipping viewpoints, there was great enjoyment between these pages and I walked away with a smile on my face.

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a boatload of drama, lots of humor, sadness as well as joy and more heartwarming moments than you’ll know what to do with.

They survived the crash…

Now can they escape the wilderness?

Part-time treasure hunter Daniel Sturges’s secret assignment was simple—find a wrecked WWII B-17 and recover the artifacts inside. But now he’s stranded with fellow crash survivor Cassie Edmunds, who's searching for the same plane, and they’ll have to trust one another with their lives. With temperatures falling in treacherous terrain, will they risk everything for the missing wreckage or discover something more valuable between them? That is, if they can stay alive...

Bonded by survival! This strongly faith based story unites two unlikely souls in a fight against the elements when their flight to a remote site strands them with the barest of resources. Each character has a back story that endears their part of the plot to the reader and watching them grow their connection throughout the wilds of the wilderness makes a powerful human interest side to the story. I liked them a lot, but would have enjoyed more relationship development once they returned to real life.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a high impact survival type romance with a strong outdoor backdrop.

When fate brings three strangers to a charming space for lease on the California coast, the Boardwalk Bookshop is born. Part bookstore, part gift shop, part bakery, it's a dream come true for Bree, Mikki and Ashley. But while their business is thriving, their personal lives are…not.

Even from Ashley's brother, a writer and adventurer who has inspired millions. He's the first man to see past Bree's barricades to her true self, which terrifies her. Mikki has this divorce thing all figured out—somehow, she's stayed friends with her ex and her in-laws…until a new man changes how everyone looks at her, and how she sees herself. Meanwhile, Ashley discovers that the love of her life never intends to marry. Can she live without being a wife if it means she can have everything else she's ever wanted?

At sunset every Friday on the beach in front of the Boardwalk Bookshop, the three friends share a champagne toast. As their bond grows closer, they challenge one another to become the best versions of themselves in this heartachingly beautiful story of friendship, sisterhood and the transformative power of love.

The complexities of love and friendship are beautifully interwoven! THE BOARDWALK BOOKSHOP brings together three women and their separate businesses into one beachfront store in the heart of California and shines a light on the growth of a friendship that supports each of them as life brings them love, turmoil and happily ever afters. The characters are intriguing, each of their lives bring a totally different aspect of love to the forefront and the strength of their friendship grows to support them when they need it most.

I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys drama, friendship and happy endings.

Her cardinal rule for learning the ropes of romance?

Don’t fall for the teacher!

Shy Lone Star heiress Caitlyn Lattimore is eager to ditch her wallflower status. So when her best friend playfully suggests she practice dating, Caitlyn goes one further. She asks friend of a friend Dev Mallik to give her boyfriend lessons. The spark between them soon turns fun into fire. But is Caitlyn setting herself up for heartbreak? Because Dev’s exacting parents want just the right woman for their son—and they aren’t so sure she’s the one…

Sizzling love at first sight! The second book in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: Ranchers and Rivals series starts out a tad confusing with a lot of characters mentioned without full disclosure of who is who, but it quickly leveled out into an enjoyable meet cute for Caitlyn and Dev. Their timeline until “I love you” was extremely rushed, but I enjoyed the characters as a whole and found them relatable.

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys love when it’s least expected between a man of the world and a refreshingly naive heroine.

Welcome to Four Corners Ranch, where the West is still wild…and when a cowboy needs a wife, he decides to find her the old-fashioned way.

Cowboy Sawyer Garrett has no intention of settling down. But when he becomes a single dad to tiny baby June, stepping up to the responsibility is nonnegotiable. And so is finding a woman to be a mother to his infant daughter. So he decides to do it the way the pioneers did: by putting out an ad for a mail-order bride.

Evelyn Moore can’t believe she’s agreed to uproot her city life to marry a stranger in Oregon. But having escaped one near-disastrous marriage, she’s desperate for change. Her love for baby June is instant. Her feelings for Sawyer are…more complicated. Her gruff cowboy husband ignites thrilling desire in her, but Sawyer is determined to keep their marriage all about the baby. But what happens if Evelyn wants it all?

A dynamic duo to kick off the brand new Four Corners Ranch series! Maisey Yates is queen of small town cowboys, so it’s no surprise that she sets up a great four family grouping to start this series out strong with the drama yet to come. There are many characters to keep track of, but it didn’t feel overwhelming, just slightly long-winded with introspect on occasion. I enjoyed Sawyer and Evelyn a lot and look forward to lots more to come in the series.

Sawyer might be closed off and distant, but he has an earnest, caring heart and shines bright as he begins to let love in.

Evelyn jumped from one dicey situation to another, but her ability to go all in was heartwarming when it came to baby June.

I recommend this story to anyone that enjoys a working ranch family that doesn’t have much time for love until it suddenly knocks them over the head.

You better watch out for people that bounce back from everything that’s meant to destroy them.

Those were the words that Coreline King learned to live by when it came to dealing with Tide ‘Rook’ Crow, member of the Battle Crows MC, general surgeon, and all-around jerk who lived to make her life a living hell.
It all started in high school when he stopped seeing her as a random girl and started to see her as his rival.
Together, they became ‘frenemies.’ I.e.—a person with whom one is friendly, despite a fundamental dislike or rivalry.
At least, it started out like that.
Everyone always says there’s a fine line between love and hate. And at first, Tide and Coreline don’t realize how very true that is.
Not until Tide gets hurt defending Coreline’s honor, and Coreline has to fix him because she feels like she owes him.
But one night of bad choices leads to a very big ‘oops’ that will either haunt them for the next eighteen years or bring them together as tight as they ever could be.

They’re unforgettable! The fourth book in the Battle Crows MC brings us Tide’s twist on an enemies to lovers story and I highly enjoyed the sass and angst between he and Coreline. Easy to enjoy characters, steamy passion and lots of drama make for a quick and enjoyable read.

Tide is intense and passionate in everything he does. I enjoyed him a lot.

Coreline has a mouth on her that will quickly bring a smile to your face. I loved her honest zest for life.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series if you enjoy raw passion and angst mixed with family drama, a touch of suspense here and there and just a whole lot of goodness in your romance.

To protect her baby…

She must share her secret

A stalker’s lie came between single mother Rachel Colton and the father of her child. Now the man she never forgot has moved to their small Colorado town, and Rachel must tell James Kiriakis about the six-month-old daughter he never knew existed. But in pursuit of James, a deadly criminal has trailed him to Blue Larkspur and won’t let the fragile family have a moment’s peace—planning on only the most lethal of reunions.

I was hooked from the first page! Book four in The Coltons of Colorado series from Harlequin Romantic Suspense brings newly minted DA Rachel Colton to the center of the story line as danger lurks from multiple directions as her fling moves to town and learns he’s a daddy! The characters were both intriguing and had their own side of drama contributing to the suspense and I loved every minute of their story.

Rachel is accomplished and self-assured, but when the man she hasn’t easily forgotten suddenly shows up in her town, she knows she has some explaining to do. I liked her for the most part and enjoyed getting to see the soft mommy side of her.

James is much more than the cut throat lawyer Rachel got a glimpse of and I actually liked him a lot. He was down to earth even when things were stressful all around them and I loved his connection with the precious daughter he didn’t know he had.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys a tight family backdrop as a core bit of family intrigue plays out across the series and each sibling centers in a book of their own as love comes knocking and they have to outrun their very own bit of danger.

Service dog Jedi is playing…cupid

As a malnourished rescue dog, I never dreamed Wendy Alvarez would pull me for her Pets for Vets program. Turns out I’m the perfect support animal for ex-vet Greg Martin. Though he insists he’s only my “foster,” I’m gonna chase Greg’s nightmares away and give him the courage to fly his plane again. Plus get him to fall for that nice lady, Wendy. Those loners may be my trainers, but I’m pulling their heartstrings.

Packs an emotional punch! This heartwarming story of a rescue dog and the humans he helps is sure to tug at your heartstrings. The characters each have a back story that fills the dialogue with emotion and seeing them help the other heal and be ready to live again is really rewarding. I loved every minute of their story!

Wendy has trauma from her childhood that she hasn’t let go of yet, but she sets out every day to do good in the world and she accomplishes so much for people.

Greg is goodhearted and down to earth, but life handed him a situation that he hasn’t fully come to terms with yet and meeting Wendy is turning out to be just what he needed.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys a whole lot of heart mixed with emotions and turmoil as each couple collides and works toward their happily ever after.

Returning to the palace unwed…
But not untouched!

Princess Marit’s elopement isn’t exactly all she’d dreamed, but at least it is on her terms. That is, until Greek billionaire Lykos Livas steals her away in her wedding gown!

Enlisted by the king, Lykos must return Marit to the palace—unwed. Yet hearing about her duty-bound life painfully recalls the memories of his own hard-won freedom. He offers her a week of rebellion traveling around Europe with him. But as the chemistry between them becomes undeniable, so does the deadline for Marit’s royal return!

A riveting royal romance! The second book in the Royals of Svardia series from Harlequin Presents brings us youngest sister Princess Marit’s story. I was hooked from start to finish as a makeshift elopement is foiled when a tycoon sent by her King whisks her away.

I loved every minute of Marit. She has dreams she’s not allowed to partake in, but she has such loyalty to her family and her country that she doesn’t see it as the hardship that we would. I enjoyed seeing her get to live with a bit of freedom for a bit.

Lykos is hunky and take charge, but he has a tenderness to him that shines bright for Marit as he gets to know her turmoil.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a royal romance within a drama filled family with turmoil, passion and love at the forefront.
