It’s their second chance at love.

Will the truth come between them?

Returning to her hometown, health investigator Bridgette Colton is reluctantly reunited with old flame Luke Walker. For years, emotionally scarred Bridgette has kept a life-changing secret from Luke. But now their bond lands Bridgette squarely in the path of a terrifying stalker. Losing her heart to Luke again could be a fatal mistake…for them both.

Will their reunion be cut short when a stalker gets too close? With the third book in the intriguing Coltons of Kansas series Jennifer D. Bokal delights readers with a reunion of first loves with some intrigue and stalking mixed in to keep things exciting. The ending was a tad abrupt, but I enjoyed their story a lot and look forward to more secrets being uncovered as the series continues.

Bridgette Colton is a character that nabs your heart easily as a reader. Her chance at forever was short lived and the young widow finds it comforting that her latest case has brought her home to family and Braxville. What she wasn’t expecting at all was to get up close and personal with her first love again.

Luke Walker is kind-hearted and comforting, so it’s easy to see why the town turns to him for companionship and help. He can’t deny the skip of his heart when he sees Bridgette again and is interested to know why she acts like he is the bad guy of the past.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys an extended family who always has each others back mixed with an ongoing mystery to keep us guessing and an interesting plot of it’s own in each book.
