We met him in his brother Andre Diaz’s book last month, and Shaye was instrumental in helping them save Juliette in that story as well. The characters mesh well and are all passionate about their work and protecting those they love. The fact that the brother’s are always ready to jump when the other calls, even if it’s for a stranger they haven’t met means a lot. The background story that they brought up in the first book was mentioned in this one too, but fell to the way side a little too much. I’m looking forward to getting answers to that in the next book.
