Actress Sophie Birch is used to having to look out for herself. So when her theater catches fire and a big guy scoops her up into his arms to save her, she's going to fight every step of the way. Even if he's a cop. And really sexy. And his arms feel oh-so-good.

Finn Kelly can't help but appreciate how good the woman in his arms looks in her sexy pink lingerie. Even if she's currently resisting arrest.

But as the two get to know each other, they're both surprised by the things Finn is willing to do to get closer to her. And when Sophie's estranged father arrives in town and starts causing trouble, the stage is set for disaster...unless Finn can convince her that, for once in her life, she has someone to lean on.

Too hot to handle! A bit of a fire leads to sparks flying between Sophie and Finn in the latest in the Opposites Attract series! It’s a really fun read with a snarky connection between the characters that lead to a passionate and feisty relationship.

Sophie Birch isn’t used to having someone to lean on, so when a fire starts at the community theater she owns, she takes it upon herself to grab everything she needs as she’s evacuating … only a sexy cop catches her in a compromising position and sweeps her off her feet to get her out of danger.

Boston police officer Finn Kelly can’t believe his luck when he gets an eyeful of the sexy pink lingerie the victim of the fire he’s dispatched to is wearing. He’s only too happy to follow along after her to make sure she’s out of harms way. When he finds out who she is and sees that trouble has a way of finding her, he sets out to show her that she doesn’t have to fight all by herself against the world … she’s got him, his family and all of her friends to rally behind her now!

Savanna Gray needs a do-over. Her "perfect" life unraveled when, to her absolute shock, her husband was arrested for attacking three women. With her divorce settled, she takes her two children home to Silver Springs to seek refuge between the walls of the farmhouse where she was born. It needs a little TLC, but she's eager to take control of something.

Gavin Turner understands the struggle of starting over. Abandoned at a gas station when he was five, it wasn't until he landed at New Horizons Boys Ranch as a teen that he finally found some peace. He steps up when Savanna needs help fixing things—even when those things go beyond the farmhouse.

Despite an escalating attraction to Gavin, Savanna resolves to keep her distance. She trusted her ex, who had a similarly tragic background, and is unwilling to repeat her past mistakes. But it's hard to resist a man whose heart is as capable as his hands.

With the next book in her Silver Springs series, Brenda Novak quickly had my attention and kept me riveted throughout with what turned out to be one of my favorites in the series so far! A wife is devastated to discover the man she married isn’t who she thought he was, and has two kids to protect as she learns how to move forward in life. When she meets Gavin, she has a kindred spirit. He’s had hard times as well, but he’s striving to be happy and go after his dreams … even when hiccups occur along the way!

Savanna Gray never thought she’d be starting over at this point in her life, but after living through the horror of her husband being arrested for attacking three women, she is picking up the pieces of what’s left and getting her kids out of town. It’s not in the best shape, but the old family farmhouse in Silver Springs, CA will be a great refuge for them as they try to figure out life on their own.

Gavin Turner lives right next door and is a huge help to her and the kids in getting settled and having things up and running while they fix the house up. They each try to keep their distance because of drama in each of their lives, but they can’t hide their mutual attraction for long. Will a real relationship be able to come out of their connection to each other, or will she live to regret trusting another troubled man?
