Manipulated into a marriage of inconvenience,

until one sizzling kiss changes everything…

Devon Cole must marry Cain Farrell or lose everything. But she can never let her billionaire husband-to-be know why she agreed to her father’s dangerous machinations. Just as she’ll never know her father is blackmailing Cain to tie the knot, too. What kind of marriage can Devon even expect from a man with such cold eyes…and such hot kisses? She’s about to find out.

Hatred and lust collide to bring us this delicious opposites attract romance from Naima Simone. In VOWS IN NAME ONLY each party is being blackmailed to marry, but neither knows that is the case for the other. Strong characters and an entrenching plot carry this fast paced story to a satisfying conclusion.

Devon was a bit wishy washy for me. She was kindhearted and accomplished in helping the youth, but I found it hard to stomach that she walked away from family so easily to please her father.

Cain was a delight. I’m especially looking forward to continuing the storyline with his family.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a scandal wrapped in betrayal as a steaming hot connection is in the works. I’m looking forward to more from the Billionaires of Boston!

Lily Rhett has everything, a great family, her dream job, loving friends. She’s always been the take charge, jump in with both feet person everyone relies on to fight the good fight. It’s exhausting. Just once she craves to give someone else the responsibility of making the decisions. She would happily give up control for just a little while to get some peace. But she’s accepted that it won’t come from anyone she knows. It definitely won’t be the tall, quiet number cruncher from her friends office. He couldn’t be the one, right?

Matthew Gibson likes his sex rough and his woman compliant. Underneath his quiet, nerdy exterior is a man who likes to push the envelope. So what is it about the explosive blond has him intrigued from the moment he meets her? She is commanding, competitive and sexier than anyone he’s ever met. The more she challenges him, the more he wants her. Can he teach her that with submission comes power? Does she know he is the man to show her she can be both sides of the coin? Or does he throw away everything he thought he needed for the one thing he doesn’t want to live without?

A temporary fling turns into a sassy exploration of love and desire! With the second book in her Sideswiped series Avery Samson brings a tempting display of power exchange in HERS TO WIN. The characters are easy to like and get to know, and though this author’s craft needs a little polishing as she grows into her series, the concept of the story was great, and the follow through was satisfying. This was my first read from this author, but I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up another.

Matthew is a nice guy. He likes sex a certain way, but he’s an easygoing boyfriend outside of the bedroom. I especially loved getting to see them interact with his family.

Lily is a sweetheart, but her newness to living outside the vanilla lifestyle leads her to run her mouth a little too much and causes an issue or two that have potential to ruin their relationship.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a bit of dominance, bondage and BDSM in the midst of a cute relationship.

Two women dead…with the same ID?

Time to call the Tactical Crime Division.

New TCD team member Aria Calletti is determined to find out why women are turning up dead—especially since an infant was left at the most recent crime scene. Fortunately for the TCD’s newest operative, the baby’s uncle, Grayson Rhodes, has sacrificed everything to discover the truth following the disappearance of his half sister. But can a civilian-turned-undercover-dockworker and a brand-new agent take down a formidable drug kingpin?

A mysterious new case will keep you on the edge of your seat! With the first book in the new Tactical Crime Division: Traverse City series Carol Ericson takes us quickly into the heart of the crime in ROOKIE INSTINCTS. While I didn’t find the instant love between the two main characters believable with how little time they spent together, I thought the mystery and suspense throughout the building of the case was spot on. I’m looking forward to more in the series!

Aria is an easy to like character, and as the newest member of the team, she proves her abilities quickly.

Grayson is willing to put himself out there however he needs to in order to find info about what happened to his half-sis.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a dramatic and suspenseful story with bit of romance mixed in.
