What happens when a smoking hot, but grouchy vet meets a sunny and sassy optimist? An opposites attract, grumpy boss, small town romance that's otterly irresistible.

Broody wildlife veterinarian Griffin Foster is done. Done trying to save the world. Done getting attached. He’s been fired twice for standing his ground and now he’s going to be content — by God — in small-town Louisiana, in a small veterinary practice, where there will only be small problems.

Quiet and boring, though? Um, no. He’s been adopted by a loud, crazy Cajun family with a tiny petting zoo for him to care for. Hey, it’s not endangered tigers at a nationally renowned zoo, but a family of otters — and all the gumbo he can eat — isn’t a bad deal.

Until she shows up. Again.

The sunny, gorgeous optimist who stole his heart — and his favorite shirt — two months ago. Who clearly hasn’t heard the word “no” enough in her life. And who is the first woman to put even a tiny crack in his don’t-get-attached wall.

Charlotte “Charlie” Landry is the new marketing consultant for the family swamp-boat tour company and petting zoo. It might not have been her plan, but she is all in, ready to grow the business. Whether the hot, grumpy vet likes it or not.

He doesn’t.

Worse, sparring with his unforgettable one-night stand is more fun than he’s had in a long time.

But watching wears-designer-dresses Charlie find her dream job amongst a bunch of goats, alpacas, and otters is a surprise.

And her helping him find his passion again is... well, irresistible.

Dammit.

What do you get when you cross a gruff veterinarian with a peppy, spoiled princess? ABSOLUTE MAGIC! Just when we were turning on the water works that our Cajun fun was over, Erin Nicholas is delighting her readers with a Boys of the Bayou spin off where they’ve Gone Wild! So many favorite couples are delighting us one again when cousin Charlotte takes a job with the new family petting zoo and everyone wants to weigh in with their thoughts. I love this town, this family and all the feels!

Griffin is surly and brooding and I loved every second of him. Life hasn’t gone just the way he wanted it to, but meeting Charlie shows him a new take on life and he just might find that happy place after all!

Charlie is adorable. She’s grown up in this loud and crazy family, but love hasn’t nabbed her yet … until she runs across this guy who readily admits that he cares more for animals than he does for humans!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a whole lot of heart and humor with your romance. I’m so looking forward to every book yet to come in this series.

Excerpt

He lifted a brow. “Are you going to actually be helpful now or not?”

She loved every single thing about this petting zoo.

“Oh, I’m not going anywhere,” she told him. “I’m definitely going to help.”

He sighed.

Feeling suddenly lighter and happier than she had in a long time—and that was saying something as she was generally light and happy, not to mention on her way to Paris soon—Charlie turned back to the animals.

“Okay, now that we know each other better, how about you all be sweet and head back to the barn?”

Not one animal even looked at her.

“Hey, Stan?” she called to the big goat. “You’re clearly a leader. How about you show me that you can do some good with all that staunch determination and lead everyone back to the barn?”

“You can’t be serious,” the guy said. “Talking to them isn’t going to work.”

“Talking is what I do.”

“No kidding.”

She just lifted a brow. “So what should I do instead?”

Maybe he could give her an opening for charming him into putting that very nice, smirky, sarcastic mouth against hers and…

“Nudge ’em,” he said simply.

Now she blinked at him. “What?”

“Nudge them,” he said again.

“Just… nudge them? As in, push them?” She narrowed her eyes. Were they talking about goats? Or were they maybe talking about grumpy farmers who needed more than a subtle flirtation to make a move?

“Sometimes that’s all they need.”

Okay then. She was going to keep that in mind.

“So…” He nodded toward the goats.

She blew out a breath. Okay, so for right now, they were talking about goats.

Charlie approached the smallest of the animals. He—or she—looked up at her. “Hello, I’m Charlotte. Would you please accompany me across the street back to your barn?” She heard the man’s snort even from a distance. That made her smile even though she was still stuck with the problem of herding goats.

The goat, of course, didn’t move a step.

“I would very much enjoy it if you would grant me the pleasure of your company across the street at your barn,” she told the goat.

This time the goat didn’t even lift his head.

Charlie propped a hand on her hip. “I don’t feel that we know each other well enough for me to actually put my hands on your body, so it really would be easier if you would just head in the general direction of your barn.”

“For fuck’s sake.” Suddenly the man was back beside her.

He bent and lifted the goat, and Charlie couldn’t help but think this had worked out very well. She hadn’t had to touch the goats, but she hadn’t been entirely unhelpful to him.

Okay, that wasn’t true. She had been completely unhelpful to him. But she hadn’t left him out here with the goats alone.

The man pivoted and pressed the goat to her chest. Instinctively her arms went up and around it. He let go.

And just like that, she had her arms full of goat.

Charlie gasped, partially in surprise and partially because it only took her a millisecond to think about the fact that she now had a barnyard animal up against her Alex Perry cocktail dress.

“You have to be kidding,” she said to the man.

“When nudging doesn’t work, sometimes you have to get hands-on.”

Charlie blew out a breath. She was tucking that away in her idea of how to handle him too. But she was preoccupied at the moment.

And not so sure she wanted to kiss him after all.

No, that wasn’t true. She still wanted to kiss him. Especially now that he was standing closer.

Even if she had to kiss him over the back of a goat.

Which probably meant she really wanted to kiss him.

INKED PROTECTOR REUNITES WITH A SINGLE MOTHER.

Rocco Caldo is tall, dark, and handsome, but not interested in love. Loyal to a fault, he can’t turn away an old friend in need or a beautiful woman on the run…especially when they have unfinished business.

Rebel Bishop is a single mom, looking for shelter, not a handout. But when her path crosses with an old flame, they uncover an ember of passion that’s been smoldering inside them both for over a decade.

Can they move beyond their tragic pasts, allowing the flame to burn bright into their future?

Emotionally riveting, adorable and downright steamy! Lust brought them together, but tragedy tore them apart. A decade has passed since the weekend they wouldn’t be able to forget if they wanted to and emotions are flying high when Rocco and Rebel reconnect. I loved every minute of their story.

Rocco is already adored before we even get to know the heart of him just because of the beloved family he is a member of. Watching him let his guard down and re-fall for Rebel was so satisfying.

Rebel is a powerful character. She lost the one solid she had left in life and went on to flounder through the best she knew how. As a single mother with a precocious little girl, she’s willing to put her pride aside and ask for help when she needs to outrun danger.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who loves a family of alpha men and feisty women who love them. Every book is filled with love, laughter and a whole lot of sass.

One moment. A single decision... an accident.
Cost me six years of my life.
All of my hopes and dreams vanished.

Until I was given back my freedom and the opportunity to start over... doing whatever I could to survive in a world much different than the one I knew before.

I was working on my degree and waiting tables when my fate changed.
An older man with silver hair and a fancy suit walked in, looking like he wanted to save me.
He came for pie. But he offered me a job.

When I turned him down, he sent his son, Hudson.
The arrogant, sex on a stick wore me down.
I took the job.
I accepted his friendship.
And slowly, over time, I began to feel things for this man I knew I shouldn’t.

They gave me a home.
A family.
And then it was all ripped away.

Now nothing can erase all the ugly things.

Heart wrenching and highly addictive! Stacey Lynn is shining bright with a story unlike any I’ve ever read from her in ALL THE UGLY THINGS, the first half of her Love and Lies Duet. There’s emotion, there’s pain, there’s hope and there’s goodness … and along the way we start to fall for this couple and believe in this family. There’s an emotional and secretive cliff-hanger at the end of this story, but the second book in the duet is releasing mere weeks behind book one, so we won’t be suffering the unknown for long.

Lilly is special. Heartbreak we can’t even comprehend chases her every movement until light at the end of an endless tunnel finally starts to shine on her and brighten even her most dreary day.

Hudson is kindhearted and good … but his secrets are getting ready to come out and play when the storyline picks back up in the second book. I can’t wait!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves an emotionally charged story filled with despair and turmoil, that begins to improve only to possibly fall apart beyond repair. So looking forward to the conclusion!

“This book had me hooked at the first sentence. I have never read a plot quite like this one with so many unique twists and turns. I even shed a few tears for what this powerhouse of a female lead went through. Great read!” ~Audrey Carlan, #1 NYT Bestselling Author

All the Ugly Things, an all-new beautiful and emotional romance in the Love & Lies duet from Stacey Lynn is available now!

One night changed everything. In a single breath my entire future was ripped away.

Now I’m left simply trying to pick up the pieces. Endless nights waiting tables in hopes of keeping a single piece of the dream I left behind.

He came for pie with dark eyes and a cocky smile. But those eyes saw more than they should. Past my walls to all those secrets I’d long buried.

That should’ve been my first warning. I should’ve said no when he offered me a job too good to be true. But I said yes.

Slowly friendship sparked to something more. Stolen moments became an obsession neither of us could kick.

Hudson gave me more than I’d ever dreamed. So much of what I had lost. A home. A family.

I should’ve known it was all a beautiful lie. I should’ve known he’d only leave me with all the ugly things…

Excerpt

She worked in a shithole diner and probably lived in a shithole place when she was the daughter of a state judge, probably grew up in private schools with a Mercedes gifted to her on her sixteenth birthday and more money than my own parents had. This shouldn’t be her life. She’s better than this. Better than her circumstance and I believe her. She just needs someone to help. The memory of Melissa’s pleading eyes made me squeeze my own eyes shut. “Fucking bleeding heart.” Since she could walk, she had a calling to save everything from kittens and frogs and turtles in the road to classmates and children where she worked. One last request. Promise me. I’d wanted to throttle her slim, pale throat. I gripped the door handle and scowled at the silver-plated handle, before I threw it open. “Happy now?” I asked, and somehow, I knew she was. Lilly was still in the back when I entered. Where Dad said she always stood, there was an old laptop with notebooks spread open. I took the seat at the far end and waited, snagging a menu from the counter on my way. The food was cheap, basic diner food, perfect for the clientele a place like this brought in. Greasy, thick burgers, patty melts, and Reubens. Sandwiches and burgers and two salad options. It was late enough none of it appealed to me. Probably why my dad came for the pies. Fortunately for me, he’d said they were the best he’d ever tasted, and I’d inherited his sweet tooth. The creak of old, squeaky door hinges rang out and I lifted my head. Lilly came out carrying a tray stacked with food, focused on the four-top. I didn’t move for fear of distracting her. Not a great first impression to make if she ended up covered in grease and condiments. The guys at the table did more shoulder-slapping, whooping and hollering like they were watching the Super Bowl and not their food being delivered. I kept my eyes on them, waiting for one to give me a reason to put an end to all of them. The dark-haired guy would be first. He sat at the outer edge of the booth and as Lilly leaned forward to deliver a tray to the guy next to him, his hand hovered inches from her backside. The blond across the table egged him on with a nod but she stood back, put space between them, and barked, “Even think of touching me and none of you are leaving with your dicks still attached to your body.” “Oohh. I’ll show you mine happily,” one said, hands dropping to his lap. She glared at him, resting bitch face I was certain she learned in prison firmly in place. It didn’t look right on her. Too hard. Too forced. What would she have been like as a smiling, happy teenager before life was stolen from her? Damn it. I felt it then. That pull my dad had when he first saw her. She’d lost too much.

Stacey Lynn likes her coffee with a dash of sugar, her heroes with a side of bossy, and her wine a deep shade of red.
