Sometimes the worst wounds can't be seen.

Lucas Everett knows that firsthand. It's why he and his former Navy SEAL brothers created the Resting Warrior Ranch.

They aren't doctors, but they can offer the healing freedom of their Montana range. And they specialize in training service and emotional support animals to help soothe even the worst emotional scars.

Usually, soldiers show up at their door. But this time it's Evelyn Taylor—a soldier in a very different kind of war.

She's as skittish as one of the horses Lucas gentles. But he's learned how to be patient with animals, and he's more than happy to be patient with this quiet beauty too.

When Evelyn's past nightmares show up in Montana, she thinks she has to run again, but Lucas isn't going to let that happen. He's protected his country against the worst types of threats, and he'll protect her too.

She's met the rancher, but now she's about to meet the SEAL.

A powerfully written, emotional journey of healing! With the first book in their Resting Warrior Ranch series Josie Jade and Janie Crouch join forces to bring us an intriguing story in MONTANA SANCTUARY and I enjoyed it fully. The direness of Evelyn’s situation quickly had my attention from the very start of the book and I was quickly hooked by her plight. One Lucas came on the scene and showed her such a gentle kindness, I was deeply entrenched in seeing their happily ever after unfold. I can’t wait for more in the series!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a romantic suspense story with powerful backstories taking center stage. This refuge is staffed by a close knit group of guys who are there to help others like themselves be able to cope with life again after tragedy.

Antique-store owner Cricket Crosby’s life is turned upside down when she discovers that the rumors of her husband’s affair aren’t just leisurely southern gossip. Her plan: hire an investigator; find an attorney; enlist the help of her new assistant, Ruby; and make her husband pay.

Ruby knows how quickly everything changes. After a dicey past, she’s determined to forge a new future by working for Cricket and reinventing herself as a designer, deconstructing vintage haute couture. If anybody can help mend a few tears in Cricket’s life, she can.

But turns out Cricket’s life isn’t just a little torn. It’s wrinkled, stained, and falling apart at the seams. With Ruby and her ragtag relatives—a soused PI and a hunky tow truck driver—Cricket is sleuthing her way to the truth, no matter how dangerous it gets.

Sure, Cricket’s life isn’t what she imagined. But she’s embracing change and figuring out what she really wants. And that’s kind of fabulous.

Well-written, engaging and attention grabbing from start to finish! I would describe Liz Talley’s latest release as women’s fiction with a cozy mystery twist and I loved every minute of DECONSTRUCTED. The main character is successful and accomplished and watching her step up and dig up the dirt on her cheating spouse was inspiring. Her partner in crime assistant almost stole the show with her quirky style and her following of humorous relatives. I really enjoyed their friendship and seeing her succeed in bettering herself was a joy to read.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a bit of mystery mixed with drama, humor and family dynamics.

The course of true love was never supposed to start on a stair climber…

Preslee Owens has never worked out in a gym before. Like truly never. Until today. As she struggles to stay upright on the stair climber, she accidentally broadcasts a vlog that lets complete strangers—and even worse, people in her own small town--witness the hilarious start to her fitness journey. To her surprise and mortification, viewers love it.

The positive reaction leaves Preslee with no choice but to return—and the discovery that her unrequited crush, Josh, works out in the same gym is a big bonus. It also helps that her new personal trainer is making sure she doesn’t kill herself in the process. In fact, Adam has even offered to pretend to be her boyfriend to help make Josh a little jealous.

Having Adam cheering her on brings out a strength and confidence Preslee barely recognizes in herself. And soon she’s enjoying being his fake girlfriend waaay too much. But will her newfound courage allow her to face her biggest fear yet and seize the life she truly wants?

Fun, quirky and down right addictive! With the fourth book in her always humorous A Perfect Fit series Alison Bliss returns with a solid addition to the series with OUT OF THE BLUE. I was quickly hooked by Preslee’s sincere personality, laugh out loud embarrassing moments and the sweet connection she and Adam have right from the start. I loved seeing a few of the guys from the series pop up in here, but I would have loved to have seen even more. Book 1 and 2 will still always be my favs, but Preslee and Adam did a pretty good job of hooking my heart.

I recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who loves a plus size heroine full of love, laughter and snark. Bliss is the queen of adding some sass to her stories!
