Paramedic Joseph Matthews is at the right place at the right time to come to Carey’s aid and get her medical treatment as soon as possible. Though his life has been in an upheaval due to his ex-wife’s betrayal, he’s not the type of man that can turn his back on a woman in need, so he offers Carey all the help she needs to get settled back on her feet after she wakes up.
