Let the music carry you away in this brand-new series featuring the King family and their country music dynasty

Music is all he has...but is it enough to heal them both?
Jace Black went from an oilfield roughneck to an overnight singing sensation. Now he's working on a duet with country music legend Krystal King, and he's determined to earn his way to the top. But the more time he spends with Krystal, the more he finds himself falling for her—and he's beginning to be more interested in her than he is in making a name for himself.

Krystal King grew up on stage and in the spotlight. No matter how golden her life appears, her past left deep wounds. But Jace Black makes her wish things were different. To do that, she'd have to risk letting him in... And that might be too big a risk for her battered heart to take.

An emotional journey of healing! With the first book in her Kings of Country series Sasha Summers brings us a story filled with hope as life unravels and rebuilds. I was drawn into the characters and the story quickly and didn’t want the book to end. I’m looking forward to the next one in the series!

Krystal King is an attention grabbing character right off the bat. She is supposed to be this big country star with the world at her feet, but it doesn’t take the reader long to see the undertones of what her life is really like, and as the story line progresses, we start to figure out that sometimes the bright lights and smoke are hiding a nightmare.

Jace Black is so yummy! He’s your typical hardworking cowboy type in the oil fields of Texas when all of a sudden a twist of fate brings him into a world unlike anything he’s ever known. He’s humble, kind and such a temptation to hardened Krystal.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves an emotional love story that has to overcome hurdles on it’s way to happily ever after. The characters were relatable and the plot carried itself well.

He’s a temporary neighbor…

But will her surprise make him stay?

Single mom of three Elizabeth Barnes has reason to avoid her rodeo star neighbor. She needs to protect her family after her ex’s public scandal, and charismatic Dallas Maguire is only passing through. Turning to him for comfort was a onetime lapse—with unexpected consequences! Though Elizabeth can’t keep hiding the truth—or her feelings—can a bachelor cowboy transform into a family man?

Sweet, contentious and satisfying! With book seven in her always delightful Kansas Cowboys series Leigh Riker brings us the story of Elizabeth Barnes and Dallas Maquire. The characters had my attention from start to finish and I enjoyed seeing them over come the obstacle of life to head towards their happily ever after!

Lizzie is uptight and concerned about appearance, but after the turmoil her ex-husband put her through we can understand her being guarded. The rare occasion she let’s her guard down and relaxes with Dallas is magical.

Dallas carries a whole lot of baggage from his childhood along with him everywhere he goes. His life on the rodeo circuit has allowed him to outrun it a bit, but settling down and adjusting to a new way of life is bringing it all swirling around him again.

I recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who loves a laid back cowboy finding a happily ever after that he didn’t even know he was looking for. There are many great characters and connections in this series and I’m really enjoying it.

Has this bad-boy bachelor
met his match?

In business and pleasure,

he needs his nemesis!

To catch the spy in his family business, Zachary Stone needs a first-rate security specialist. But the new hire is none other than Frances Wickersham, the girl who challenged a younger Zach at every turn. She’s always pushed him. This time around, the long-legged beauty is challenging his playboy ways. Now that they are all grown-up, can they ignore their undeniable chemistry?

A reunion worth having! With the final book in The Men of Stone River trilogy Janice Maynard brings us the bad boy brother’s story in SECRETS OF A PLAYBOY and he is delicious! The story line was fast paced, the passionate with a touch of snark connection they had between each other was so much fun to watch play out and we got to also enjoy the other brother’s with their forever loves a bit as well. I loved this series!

Zachary has been the brother we couldn’t get too much of a read on in the earlier books in the series but reconnecting with someone who meant a lot to him years ago brings a very down to earth persona out in him for the reader.

Frances starts off feeling like a bit of an uptight character but watching her unfold and figuratively let her hair down as she reminisces with Zach brings a touchable side out in her.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire trilogy to anyone who loves a close knit group of brothers who have to overcome obstacles in running a high end business as they each find their happily ever afters.

This marriage of convenience is about to get sticky.

Getting hitched for the health insurance is not Jocelyn Asher’s idea of romance.

But the hospital quote has really frosted her cookies, and suddenly, “I’m rich. We should just get married,” sounds a whole lot more swoony.

Especially when the man proposing is this gorgeous. And takes her to parties featuring champagne and petit fours. She’s a sucker for anything with bubbles or icing. And just like that she finds herself married to a near stranger.

Grant Lorre is usually allergic to spontaneity.

So why did he ask the beautiful small-town baker he had a one-night stand with to marry him? Somehow watching her lick batter off a whisk--not a euphemism--made a wedding and a little fraud seem like a sweet idea.

They’ll just play house and make some whoopie--pies, of course--for a few months and then move on with their separate lives. Until then, bring on the cream filling. And that is a euphemism.

But as things heat up even outside of the kitchen, they quickly realize there’s no recipe to follow when it comes to love.

I’m ruined for other book boyfriends! With book three in her ever hilarious Hot Cakes series Erin Nicholas brings Grant Lorre to the forefront in MAKING WHOOPIE and he had me from hello! The story was fast paced, sweet and OH so steamy. I can’t wait for more in the series!

Josie is a doll of a character. She’s been front and center in this series since book one as Zoe’s sidekick at the bakery, but this time we get to know what makes her happy and go along for the ride as she falls for Grant.

Grant was supposed to be the gruff unfriendly one right? Wrong! He’s a big ol’ grumpy teddy bear and I adored him. He’s the levelheaded guy of the group, but he has a heart of gold.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone looking for a fast paced story line that always brings a boatload of laughs and love. A close knit group of friends are finding their forever loves one by one and it’s so much fun to watch!

Excerpt

No one fell in love over cheesy potatoes.

That was ridiculous. There was nothing sexy about cheesy potatoes. Or potatoes without cheese, for that matter.

But lust? Well, that was a possibility. Apparently.

Because watching Grant Lorre eat cheesy potatoes across her best friend’s mother’s dining room table was making Jocelyn Asher hot.

Of course, Maggie McCaffery’s cheesy potatoes were award-winning. Seriously. She’d taken home the purple ribbon four times from the Dubuque County Fair and twice from the Iowa State Fair. And Grant seemed to agree that they were delicious. He’d made a sexy groaning sound when he’d first taken a bite, and Josie had been mesmerized as his lips closed around the tines of his fork. Never mind how her heart rate had picked up when he’d turned the fork and licked it.

She was a mess. Purple ribbon or not, Josie was pretty sure that getting worked up over watching a man eat potatoes meant she was hard up.

She took a long drink of iced tea and tried to remember the last time she’d had sex. If she wasn’t forgetting anyone—and how sad would that be—the last time had been with Ben Davis. After Kara Davis’s, now Tibbin’s, wedding.

Last week Kara had been into Buttered Up, the bakery where Josie worked with her best friend Zoe, to order a miniature version of her wedding cake to celebrate their first anniversary.

Josie sighed. That had to explain the sexy potato thing going on across the table. It had to.

But then Grant laughed at something Aiden, his best friend and Zoe’s fiancé—yes, it was one big happy group at this table—said, and Josie felt her neglected lady parts clench. Yeah, it wasn’t the potatoes.

Thankfully.

Kind of.

As weird as getting turned on by potatoes might be, it might have been preferable to being turned on by the man who had been coming into the bakery nearly every morning for the past two weeks, but hadn’t so much as asked her to have a cup of coffee with him.

He’d asked her if the blueberries in the muffins were locally sourced. He’d asked her if they had any gluten-free cinnamon scones. He’d asked her for a lemon slice for his cup of hot water. But that was pretty much the extent of the things he’d asked her over the course of the time they’d known each other.

Oh, and he’d caught her when she’d fallen off a ladder. Twice. Very gallantly.

He’d swept her up before she’d hit the floor. Like a freaking knight in shining armor.

But both times he’d simply set her on her feet and gone on with his day.

She, on the other hand, was now getting hot and bothered by side dishes.

I knew the risks of this job when I signed on with Jameson Force Security. Knew my time as a marine would prepare me for the danger I would face. But no amount of training could have ever prepared me for the helplessness of watching my teammates die, the agonizing mental and physical pain of torture, or the despair of captivity.

Returning home to Pittsburgh following a mission gone wrong, I am riddled with guilt and haunted by nightmares. I spend my days trying to regain the parts of myself I lost in that desert, the pieces that made me the Malik Fournier I once was. While the physical effects of my torture are fading, the emotional ones are proving much more stubborn and I find solace from the last person I should ever seek such comfort.

Anna Tate lost even more than I did in that mission. Now a widow and a single mom to the daughter she gave birth to shortly after her husband’s death, Anna offers me comfort I don’t deserve. As my feelings for Anna grow, I worry that once she learns the truth about what happened, she’ll turn her back on me.

I pull her to me just as tightly as I push her away. Hoping this forbidden love will save me from the ghost I’ve become.

A hard-fought journey! With the highly anticipated fifth book in her always addictive Jameson Force Security series, Sawyer Bennett brings her readers Malik’s story at long last. Since the series began we’ve known his story and his fate was unknown as he remained missing. With this book, we see his return home, learn some of what happened to him and watch him start the process of putting his life back together. The story was sweet and satisfying, but I honestly wanted more. More feeling, more angst, more gut-wrenching emotion. I wanted my heart torn out and put back together again after what they both had suffered … and I sadly didn’t get that.

Malik has been a draw to the reader since he first went missing during a mission back in the beginning of the series. He’s attached to a few of our favorite characters from Ms. Bennett’s hockey books and was known well before he even came onto the pages of this book.

Anna had her world fall apart and had to put it back together again all by herself. She’s been strong and resilient and shows the reader her true strengh.

I recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys a close knit group of work buddies who find their forever love in between missions and danger knocking around every corner.

Sweet and satisfying! With book eleven in her always beloved Haven Point series RaeAnne Thayne gives Samantha Fremont the happily ever after she’s been yearning for over the years. The characters are quick to draw the reader in, the children and puppies in the story line are delightful and the romance is sweet.

Samantha has been someone we’ve watched as she tried to find love for years as she wavered under her mother’s overpowering thumb. Now she’s lost a bit now that her mother is gone as she tries to find her knew norm and begins to flourish on her own.

Ian is quite attention grabbing. His kids are adorable, he’s secret royalty and he’s trying to figure out how to make sure his children heal after losing their mother.

From the glamorous San Francisco social scene of the 1920s, through war and the social changes of the ’60s, to the rise of Silicon Valley today, this extraordinary novel takes us on a family odyssey that is both heartbreaking and inspiring, as each generation faces the challenges of their day.

The Parisian design houses in 1928, the crash of 1929, the losses of war, the drug culture of the 1960s—history holds many surprises, and lives are changed forever. For richer or for poorer, in cramped apartments and grand mansions, the treasured wedding dress made in Paris in 1928 follows each generation into their new lives, and represents different hopes for each of them, as they marry very different men.

From inherited fortunes at the outset to self-made men and women, the wedding dress remains a cherished constant for the women who wear it in each generation and forge a destiny of their own. It is a symbol of their remaining traditions and the bond of family they share in an ever-changing world.

A novel by Danielle Steel is always sure to please and THE WEDDING DRESS is no exception. A family rich in depth and character falls into despair during the crash of 1929 just after their only daughter wore the Parisian designed wedding dress of her dreams to marry the love of her life. Hard times hit them all for many years as they slowly learn to live a different life than they dreamed of, but prosper in their own way none-the-less. The story lines sees us through the lives of all of these characters into several generations to come as this wedding dress is the start of several marriages.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a family rich saga that shares both ups and downs of life as the story delves deeply into each character. Through love and hate, dreams and nightmares, riches and the simple things in life we follow the lives of the families. There’s a lot to comprehend along the way, but I really enjoyed it.

Tessa Chauncy is the best kind of trouble. Beautiful, sweet and completely off limits. I’ve sat by and watched other men drool after her and forced myself to stay in check. Hey, I’m in the NHL... I have self-control in spades.

Except when it comes to her.

With the bat of her lashes and quick whip of that sharply pointed tongue Tessa can knock grown men to their knees. I’ve seen them wither and crumble under her confident stare— something I’m pretty sure she learned from sparring with me, thankyouverymuch.

But I’m not just falling for her. I’m down for the count.

She’s the girl I wanted, when wanting her was wrong.
She’s also my new roommate--
And oh yeah, my best friend’s little sister.

Heaven help me, I’m probably going to get his fist to my face or his hockey stick shoved in very dangerous places for what I’m about to do, but I don’t think I care anymore.

I’m in love with my best friend’s little sister….and I’m done waiting.

Decadently sinful! With book three in her always steamy Ice Kings series Stacey Lynn brings us Jason Taylor and Tessa Chauncy’s story and it’s delightful! Easy to love characters, spot on chemistry and enough laughs and heartfelt moments to draw you in and hold you tight. I’m so looking forward to more in the series!

Tessa is attention grabbing from the start. She’s self-assured and independent, but when her world starts crumbling she’s quick to seek the comfort of family. Her crush on Jason is finally being rewarded … and it’s awesome!

Jason is all the feels and more! He’s brash and sweet all rolled into one and I adored him. Watching him comfort Tessa and finally decide to put all of his feelings out there is magical.

Excerpt:

I scoop more chicken onto a folded chunk of naan and moan as I savor the taste. There are some decent restaurants where I live, all within walking distance, which is a bonus, but none are as good as Tandor’s. I can’t even piece together what makes it so delicious but it’s mouth-watering amazing.

“Jesus, Tessa. Can you not sound like you’re having an orgasm when you eat?”

I choke on my chicken and wash it down with my water. “Don’t like it, you can leave.”

“But then I won’t be able to share with you why I’m here.”

The chicken I’ve devoured rolls in my stomach. Obviously it’s not because he’s a nice guy. I lean back in my chair. “What is it?”

He huffs a laugh and I hate he looks so damn good, smirking at me, shaking his head like I’m some amusing little thing.

“You’re cute, Tessa. I ever tell you that?”

“I think the day you took me to get stitches in my head, yeah. You bopped me on the nose with a finger and said ‘cute and tough, nice’ before ignoring me the rest of the weekend.”

I’m mortified with myself. He’s not supposed to know these things, know how much I remember every.single.encounter with him ever.

His mouth opens a bit and he stares at me. Yeah. That dose of word vomit probably surprises the hell out of him too. But hell, in for a penny. He says he doesn’t give a shit about what Sawyer thinks? He should know what I think.

“I’m pretty sure that’s the day I started having a crush on you.”

He doesn’t take his eyes off me as he chews on what I think is chicken tikki masala. Slowly, he swallows and sets his own fork down. Leaning forward, elbows on the table, I’m tempted to drop my gaze to his mouth and watch his full lips move so sexily as he opens his mouth and asks, “Want to know when it started for me? When I started facing the reality that it was my best friend’s little sister that made my dick hard in my dreams at night and when I was on the road?”

This rebel cowboy is looking for a fresh start—will he find more than he’s ever hoped for in Gold Valley?

Police officer Pansy Daniels is the poster girl for responsible behavior. Orphaned as a child, she has dedicated her life to safeguarding her local community. The last thing she needs is a hot-headed cowboy with attitude cruising into town. He may be her new landlord, but that’s no excuse for provoking her…or sending her heart into overdrive.

West Caldwell has come to Redemption Ranch to put his past behind him. Flirting with a pint-size police officer who thinks he’s bad news is definitely not part of the plan, but it’s deliciously easy to get under Pansy’s skin. Then West discovers the vulnerability Pansy keeps so well hidden, and suddenly this renegade cowboy is in over his head. In her arms, West feels like the man he always wanted to be—but can he become the man Pansy deserves?

Love when they least expect it! With book nine in her much loved Gold Valley series Maisey Yates brings the Daniels family to the forefront of the series with Pansy’s story. We are instantly enthralled with the back story of both characters and it’s a satisfying run towards happily ever after for them both.

Pansy Daniels is attention grabbing. She’s tough and self-assured in public, but underneath there’s still a piece of that orphaned young girl crying out for the comfort she misses. Her attraction to West is unexpected and unwanted, but it doesn’t take her long to figure out that there’s more to him than meets the eye as well.

West Caldwell is laid back and intense all rolled into one sexy package. He’s come to Gold Valley to reconnect with the family he didn’t know he had and to overcome the adversity his life has become over the last few years. He’s not looking for love, but he sure is looking for a good time when this gorgeous deputy keeps getting under his skin!

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a laid back romance that brings family and setting into play to tell their story and intrigue a reader. This series as a whole has been a real joy to read and I can’t wait to see what the next Daniels sibling has in store for us.

Agent and former ranger Davis Rogers asks to go undercover to find the traitor responsible for the death of one of his friends, and Petrov Armor CEO Leila Petrov is happy to provide access to her company…especially once she discovers she’s being framed. But will their joint efforts be enough to uncover the truth?

Secrets are exposed as danger closes in! With book two in the Tactical Crime Division series Elizabeth Heiter brings the intrigue and mystery in SECRET INVESTIGATION. We’re quickly engulfed in the story and keep turning page after page trying to figure out who the culprit is in this fast paced story.

Davis Rogers is intense. He has a personal stake in why this case is important to him and he finds himself understanding Leila’s peril quickly and wants to help her too.

Leila Petrov is tenacious and determined. She’s not sure what is going on in her company, but she’s determined to find out and to correct the wrong that has been done.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone looking for a fast moving story filled with intrigue and action. The romance is on the light side, but the mystery is intense.
