I've been texting the wife I lost, the woman I loved beyond measure . . . Now someone else has answered back.

Gunnar Bond is broken.
Three years ago, he lived through the car crash that took his wife and twins away from him--though "lived" barely describes his current state. Giving up professional hockey, going off grid, and drinking himself into oblivion are his coping mechanisms. Another is texting his dead wife about his days without her. Therapeutic? Doubtful. Crazy? Definitely. But those messages into the ether are virtually the only thing stopping him from spiraling to even darker places.

Until someone texts back ...

Sadie Yates is losing it.
Suddenly guardian to a little sister she doesn't know and a misbehaving hound she'd rather not know at all, she's had to upend her (sort of) glamorous life in LA and move back to Chicago. The nanny has quit, the money's running out, and her job is on the line. The last thing she needs is her sister's hockey camp counselor, a judgmental Viking type, telling her she sucks at this parenting lark. Thank the goddess for her sweet, sensitive, and--fingers crossed--sexy text buddy who always knows the right thing to say. In the same city at last, they can finally see if their online chemistry is mirrored in real life. She just needs to set up a meeting ...

A ruined man who claims to have used up all his love is surely a bad bet, but Sadie's never been afraid of a challenge ... even if this one might shatter her heart into a million pieces.

Emotionally breathtaking! With the third book in her Rookie Rebels hockey series Kate Meader brings the emotion and heartache like a pro! When a hockey player at the top of his game has his heart torn out by the loss of his family, he’s got a lot of healing to do.

Gunnar Bond gutted me. He’s such a nice guy, and to watch him hurt in the manner that he does even three years after the death of his family is heartbreaking. It was heartwarming to see him slowly start to come back into himself after meeting Sadie and joining the life of hockey again.

Sadie Yates is a fun character. You know she has a good heart when she inquires about the welfare of the guy who she can tell is pouring his heart out to someone … only she’s the one getting his messages. I enjoyed seeing them make their way towards each other and seeing her family heal as well.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a hockey romance but with so much more depth and realness included. Always great characters, amazing story lines and down right good hearted people all the way around.

Will Gold Valley’s most honorable cowboy finally claim the woman he’s always wanted?

For as long as brooding cowboy Ryder Daniels has known Sammy Marshall, she has been his sunshine. Her free spirit and bright smile saved him after the devastating loss of his parents and gave him the strength to care for his orphaned family. Only Ryder knows how vulnerable Sammy is, so he’s kept his attraction for his best friend under wraps for years. But what Sammy’s asking for now might be a step too far…

Something has been missing from Sammy’s life, and she thinks she knows what it is. Deciding she wants a baby is easy; realizing she wants her best friend to be the father is…complicated. Especially when a new heat between them sparks to life! When Sammy discovers she’s pregnant, Ryder makes it clear he wants it all. But having suffered the fallout of her parents’ disastrous relationship, Sammy is wary of letting Ryder too close. This cowboy will have to prove he’s proposing out of more than just honor…

Friends to lovers … and more! With book ten in her beloved Gold Valley series Maisey Yates delights her reader with the story we’ve all been waiting for. Ryder Daniels! He gave up his dreams and stepped up to take care of his siblings and friends when tragedy struck years ago and now it’s time for him to finally get his share of happiness. I enjoyed them getting together, but they felt a little flat in their emotions and dialogue and I found myself wanting a little more. I’m a big fan of the series, so I hope to see them again in the future.

Ryder Daniels has been a favorite character ever since the Daniels family stepped on the screen in this series and seeing him get to claim the woman he’s been in love with for years as his very own is really sweet. I always enjoy his connection with his family.

Sammy Marshall is sass all the way around and it was fulfilling to learn more of her past.

I recommend this book and the series as a whole to anyone who enjoys a close knit family always weighing in on each others lives as each member finds their own happily ever after.

She’s just a friend but he craves so much more…
His unbridled appetites could cost him everything.

Ryan Hathaway isn’t about to let his friend marry the wrong guy—not when the right guy is him. But getting out of Jessie Acosta’s friend zone could destroy his plans to become Black Crescent’s CEO. He can’t afford to give in to the overwhelming temptation of wanting her. But with another man looming in Jessie’s life, Ryan can’t afford not to…

Unrequited love turns to into so much more in the latest from Yahrah St. John … and I loved it! With the third book in the always entertaining Dynasties: Seven Sins series emotions are high and sexual tension is flowing as these long time best friends turn into electrifying lovers!

I adored Ryan Hathaway from the start. He’s truly a nice guy, he’s loyal and he’s just simply delicious.

Jessie Acosta is a bit harder to like. She’s justified in her attitude towards Black Crescent investments, but she carried her hatred a bit far at times … and keeping him on a string while other offers are in the air didn’t make me a bigger fan.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys a fast paced story with strong characters, high end business sense and passionate connections. I’m looking forward to more to come in the series!

Zev Braden and Carly Dylan have known each other their whole lives. Their close-knit families were sure they were destined to marry—until a devastating tragedy struck, breaking the two lovers apart. Over the next decade Zev, a nomadic treasure hunter, rarely returned to his hometown, and Carly became a chocolatier and built a whole new life across the country. When a chance encounter brings them back into each other’s lives, can they find the true love that once existed, or will shattered dreams and broken hearts prevail? Find out in Searching for Love, a deliciously sexy, funny, and emotional second-chance romance.

A magical reunion of first loves! With book six in her always popular The Bradens and Montgomerys series Melissa Foster continues to delight her readers with captivating characters and emotional love stories! I felt my attention waning a bit because this seemed like a longer than average book for this author, but overall it is another hit for the series with tempting characters, sweet love stories and steamy connections wrapped up in a strong background of family and friends. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Zev Braden walked away from the life that he loved when tragedy struck a decade ago and watching him walk back into the heart of the one he left behind is pure magic.

Carly Dylan is adorable. Losing Zev broke something inside her, but she picked up the pieces and made herself into something to be proud of. She’s awestruck the moment she sees him again … but can she ever trust him not to walk away again?

I highly recommend this book as well as the series as a whole to anyone who loves a deeply connected couple with family surrounding them as they find their way back to each other. There are tears, laughter and so many heartwarming moments to enjoy!

Breezy Simmons was born into a ruthless motorcycle club—and now that she’s out, she’s never going to be that girl again. But when her past catches up with her, Breezy must go to Sea Haven to seek out the man who almost destroyed her. The man who chose his club over her and left her feeling used and alone.

As vice president of Torpedo Ink, Steele is ride or die for the brothers he lived through hell with. He never thought he’d find something as pure as his feelings for Breezy, or that keeping her safe would mean driving her away with cruel words that turned her love for him to ash.

Now, Steele won’t let her walk away twice. He’ll do whatever it takes to make Breezy his woman again—especially when he learns the real reason she came to him for help, and that the stakes are higher than he ever could have imagined…

Intense and unputdownable! With an explosive return to Sea Haven and the men and women of Torpedo Ink MC Christine Feehan nabs the reader from the first page when VP Steele’s former love comes crashing into the clubhouse. The tension is high, the emotions are all over the place and the steam is off the charts. Looking forward to diving into more of the series soon!

Breezy Simmons has a readers attention from the second the first chapter starts because we can almost feel her pulse rising and fear taking over as she prepares to step foot into the place she hates most in the world. She’s an intense character who has to not only confront the fear of what she might lose, but the roller coaster of feeling over the life she’s led and the man she never stopped loving.

Lyov “Steele” Russak is intense. He made himself the healer and protector of his family and friends during their childhood of despair and nothing much has changed in his attitude to this day. He’ll do anything he has to in order to protect … even send away the only woman he’s ever loved.

I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole to anyone who enjoys a powerful MC who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty if it means their loved ones are safe. There’s a history of intense abuse behind this MC, but a whole lot of heart shines through as they find their happily ever afters who are willing to love them through the horrors their memories won’t let them forget.

Maisey Yates’s new novel introduces the women of the Lighthouse Inn B&B. They might not have it all together, but this summer, they’ll discover that together, they might still have it all…

Rachel Henderson’s family is falling apart. Becoming a widow—especially at this age—is heartbreaking. With her teenage daughter, Emma, leaving soon for college, Rachel needs a friend—but local diner owner Adam is the last person she ever thought she’d lean on.

From the outside, her little sister, Anna, has a picture-perfect marriage. But the weight of it is suffocating her. The only way for her to breathe again comes at a high price, one she’s not so sure she can pay.

After raising two daughters on her own, their mother, Wendy, knows just how hard life can be. She’s done things she’s not proud of, things she desperately wants to keep from her girls—until keeping quiet is no longer an option.

As long-held secrets bubble up and their old lives unravel, this family will need all their strength to start again and open their hearts up to the possibility of more. But most of all, they’ll need each other…

A culmination of relationships old and new tear at the seams of this family’s dynamic! Maisey Yates has the reader’s attention quickly with SECRETS FROM A HAPPY MARRIAGE. As one marriage shows true love even in the darkest days, another self-destructs before our eyes and we’re left watching the pieces crumble. I really enjoyed getting to know these two sisters, their mother and the teen daughter of one try to figure out life after all is said and done. I would have liked a little more closure to the endings for some of them, but overall I enjoyed the characters a lot.

Rachel Henderson was one of my favorites in the book from the start because I could sympathize with her loss, but see the beauty of her growing friendship with Adam as it developed into more.

Rachel’s little sister Anna will resonate with anyone who has ever felt unseen in a room full of people. She has a good heart, and she feels so much, but she self-sabotages instead of standing up for herself and what she needs.

Rachel’s mother Wendy has a smaller presence in the book, but her teachings and beliefs bring a strong structure to what her daughters built their relationships on, so when secrets are uncovered, things become a bit dicey!

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a close knit family who readily admit they aren’t perfect as they traverse the every day road of life and hope against hope for a happily ever after. The characterization was rich and the plot was thick with emotion.

Sarah Morgan returns with a life-affirming exploration of love, loss, and how families come in all shapes and sizes…

New York florist Flora Donovan is living the dream, but her bubbly optimism hides a secret. She’s lonely. Orphaned as a child, she’s never felt like she’s belonged anywhere…until she meets Jack Parker. He’s the first man to ever really see her, and it’s life changing.

Teenager Izzy Parker is holding it together by her fingertips. Since her mother passed away a year ago, looking after her dad and little sister is the only thing that makes Izzy feel safe. Discovering her father has a new girlfriend is her worst nightmare—she is not in the market for a replacement mom. Then her father invites Flora on their summer vacation…

Flora’s heart aches for Izzy, but she badly wants her relationship with Jack to work. As the summer unfolds, Flora must push her own boundaries to discover parts of herself she never knew existed—and to find the family she’s always wanted.

An emotionally charged story of starting over! FAMILY FOR BEGINNERS by Sarah Morgan revolves around a man who lost his wife, his teenage daughter who took the world onto her shoulders as her way of coping and the new woman who’s beginning to become the light of his life. The story line is quick to hook the reader and the characters keep our attention throughout. I really enjoyed it!

Jack Parker is a bit obtuse but easy enough to like. He sees his children through the filter that his eldest daughter has developed and doesn’t see the subtle nuances that reflect the chaos below the surface. He’s beginning to feel like Flora could be the love of his life and can’t believe there could be anything wrong with those feelings.

Isabella Parker has programmed herself to be perfect and won’t stand for letting her father down. She knows a secret that eats at her soul and that and her very existence are weighting heavily on her actions. She can’t let this new woman come in and take the only place she has left.

Flora Donovan is delightful. She’s kind and understanding and has no idea of what she’s walking into when she begins to date Jack. She sees herself in the eyes of his teen and can feel the despair she tries so hard to hide.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys family drama as a setting stone to overcoming odds and finding happiness. It’s fast paced and full of emotion.

After three years in Credence trying to fade into the background, Della Munroe is sick of being invisible. She’s ready to take back control. To live a little. Hell, she’s ready to see what this dating fuss is all about. And if that means she has to download Tinder and date every guy in Colorado, then she’s up for it.

After her first disastrous attempt, she decides navigating online dating would be better with a wingman, and there’s no better person for it than Tucker Daniels. After all, he is a man. And he owns a bar, which practically makes him a relationship expert. He’s also her older brother’s best friend. Yes, she may have the teeniest tiny inconvenient crush on him, but he’s always had her back.

Tucker Daniels would rather eat broken glass than watch Della go out with a bunch of douchebag dudes only out for one thing. Unfortunately, he’s never been able to say no to her, and before he knows it, Tucker’s not only vetting her dates—he’s teaching her to drive, helping her move out, and buying her a puppy!

But when Della wants him to tutor her in more intimate arts, he freaks out. Because this little sister is strictly off-limits, and saying yes to Della is asking for a whole lot of trouble.

A heartfelt love story that will have you laughing out loud! With the third book in her Creedence, Colorado series Amy Andrews continues to delight with humor and sass as she brings love to life in this small town romance. Well developed characters and their supporting cast are sure to please.

Della Munroe is ready to live again, and her new-found confidence is fun to watch. I enjoyed watching her come into her own.

Tucker Daniels is yummy! He’s strong and supportive and simply can’t resist the way he feels about her for another minute.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who loves a small town romance filled with attention grabbing characters, humorous relationships and enough heart and heat to keep anyone happy!

If you accidentally bang your best friend’s younger brother, here are a few important tips . . .

One: Do not brag to your friend about how well-endowed her brother is.

Two: Do not go back for seconds (or thirds).

Three: Do not let him see your muffin top or jiggly behind. And definitely don’t let him feed you cookies in bed. Cookies are bad. Remember that.

Four: Act like a damn grown-up and apologize for riding him like a bull at the rodeo. And do not flirt with him when he laughs at said apology.

Five: This one is crucial, so pay attention.

Do not, under any circumstances, fall in love with him.

He’s forbidden, but it only makes him that much hotter! HOW TO DATE A YOUNGER MAN by Kendall Ryan brings the story of a a thirty-something successful business woman just trying to make that love connection that will lead to making all of her dreams come true … but Mr. Perfect seems to be her best friend’s twenty-something little brother! I loved the characters and loved their vibe, but the unorthodox story telling of going back in time and skipping over a year or two at a time wasn’t my favorite.

Griffin is A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! He’s sexy with a humorous twist and won this reader’s heart right from the start.

Layne is a self-assured woman with big dreams that she’s managed to accomplish most of quickly, but she’s blinded by how things should be so much that she almost forgets to open her eyes and see the perfection that was right in front of her.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an older woman/younger man story filled with a whole lot of sass and heart. Super fun characters!

And will she die before she can tell it?

Amnesiac Jane Doe agrees to let Border Patrol agent Rob Valdez help unravel the mystery of her identity. They never expected they’d uncover ties to a dangerous drug supplier—and find an undeniable attraction to each other. But soon someone will go to deadly lengths to keep Jane quiet before she remembers everything…even if it means killing them both.

Fast paced, exciting and full of mystery! With book three in her Holding the Line series Carol Ericson continues to bring the heat in UNRAVELING JANE DOE. The reader is drawn into the intrigue of Jane’s story from the very first page and it doesn’t slow down throughout the book. The ending was a bit rushed for my liking, but I enjoyed their story and hope to see more of them in the series.

Jane is attention grabbing from the start. Her life is in danger and she remembers nothing … as danger closes in, she has to fight to survive.

Rob is easy going and easy to like. He’s willing to put his job on the line to help keep Jane safe without anyone knowing.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who enjoys intrigue mixed with danger and romance. The series is high energy and full of danger.
