Callan Walsh kicks ass. In fact, he’s famous for it. As one of the brightest up-and-coming stars on the MMA scene, he’s an absolute beast in the cage…and out. Everything he’s trained for has brought him to this moment. Going toe-to-toe with reigning champ Xavier Gray will make or break his career. Nothing can distract him from his lifelong goal. Nothing. Until he meets…his opponent’s little sister.

Josie Gray is hell on wheels, gorgeous AF, and has a mouth that doesn’t stop. The reluctant reality-television star is every man’s dream, but she’s about to become Callan’s nightmare. Tired of being in her brother’s fight-club entourage, Josie desperately desires her own life out of the limelight. Her loyalty to family keeps her tangled in faux fame, but what she feels for Callan is the realest thing she’s ever known.

Sparks fly when Callan comes to Josie’s rescue, leading to an all-consuming fire after a single night together. Forever is right at their fingertips, if only everything—and everyone—wasn't working to keep them apart. Will Callan and Josie fight through family ties to come out on top? Or are they both caged into lives they never wanted?

Filled with love, passion and turmoil! MISADVENTURES IN THE CAGE by Sarah Robinson is a fast-paced, hard fought journey to happily ever after for a champion fighter and the little sister of his biggest opponent!

Josie is easy to sympathize with as her out of control family shows time and again the things that drive her crazy. She never expected to meet a guy that she really liked … much less have him wind up being her brother’s biggest competition in the ring … but life’s got a way of throwing her curve balls when she least expects them.

I loved Callan. He had a good heart and was sexy as all get out to boot. Roadblocks kept going up in their way, and sometimes they let them get the better of them too much … but I was happy to finally get a happy ending in the end.

I recommend this addition to the Misadventures series to anyone who enjoys a steamy love story that doesn’t always work out along the way.

Relationships. Firefighter Rafe Donovan avoids them whenever possible. He loves dating women, but he makes sure they know up front that he's in it for fun, great sex and nothing more.

Fun. As an ER nurse and official caretaker of her disabled grandfather, Carmen Lewis doesn't have time for fun. But Rafe has been there for Carmen--and her grandfather--time and again, and he's clearly interested in her. She knows he's a player, but she's tempted by his charm and incredible body. And maybe a little fun isn't a bad thing, as long as she keeps her heart away from this fiery game she's enjoying with a very hot man.

Love. It doesn't take Rafe long to realize that until now he's only been playing at romance. With Carmen he feels searing passion and heart-tugging emotion for the first time. Now he has to convince Carmen that what they have together is the real deal.

Full of heart! With book two in her Brotherhood by Fire series, Jaci Burton continues to make us fall for the Donovan brothers with IGNITE ON CONTACT.

We met Rafe in the first book of the series and loved the close-knit feel he and his fellow firefighter brothers have with each other and with their adoptive parents. He’s a bit of a love’em and leave’em playboy, but he’s got a good heart and is quick to admit when Carmen has him wrapped around hers.

Carmen is a tough one. She’s had a lot of loss in her life and she’s worked hard to get to the point she’s at right now, but taking care of her grandfather has her at her wits end when he keeps trying to do more than she thinks he should.

I recommend this book and the series as a whole to anyone who likes an action packed firefighter story with a family goodness around it. Can’t wait for Kal’s story!

Alphalicious and still demanding, Kaden Barnes has everything a man could want: a beautiful wife, an adorable toddler son, and a life most people would envy.

What he misses is being alone with his wife. With Valentine’s Day around the corner, he can’t think of a better gift than a vacation to the exclusive island of Eden where sensuality reigns.

But no sooner do they arrive than he realizes something is bothering his beautiful wife. Can he seduce Lexie into a revelation, and if so can he handle what she has to tell him that will upend their already chaotic life?

Carly Phillips delights fans of her Billionaire Bad Boys series with a short but a sweet Valentine revisit with one of our favorite couples! If you haven’t read the original series, it probably doesn’t have enough meat to it to give you a good foundation to their relationship, but a fan of the series will adore this dip back into the world!

Kaden and Lexie Barnes are living in wedded bliss … but work, life and the stress of parenthood leaves little time for them to just be them again. Kaden decides to surprise his bride with a Valentine vacation, but once they arrive, she seems distant … is there trouble in paradise?

She fell into his arms... now she’s falling for his trap.
Will a blackout change everything for these unlikely lovers?

It was a night filled with secrets, lies…and soul-stealing passion. And now the blackout that turned lowly executive assistant Nadia Jordan and start-up billionaire Grayson Chandler into insatiable lovers leads to a proposal Nadia can’t refuse. As she steps into Grayson’s privileged Chicago world, will his matchmaking mother and vengeful ex destroy her dreams? Or will her fake fiancé make those dreams a reality?

Delectable passion! With book three in her Blackout Billionaires series, Naima Simone continues to delight us with swoon worthy characters in BLAME IT ON THE BILLIONAIRE.

Nadia is a kind-hearted person who put a good bit of her life on hold to raise her little brother. She’s had a crush on her boss Grayson, but never thought she had a chance … until a blackout unleashes passion she’s never experienced before.

Grayson is a shrewd businessman who has felt less-than most of his life, but he’s not willing to let his mother meddle in his life for one minute more. If he has to coerce Nadia into being his fake fiance for awhile, so be it!

I recommend this book and this entire series to anyone who enjoys a fast paced story filled with passion, lots of heart and happily ever afters.

It was a three-week fling. Nothing more than a couple of college kids having some fun, but then I did the stupid thing and fell for Jude Taylor quicker than he can score a goal on the ice. And after one beautiful night together, he left for the pros before I could make my first cup of coffee.

I thought I’d put him behind me. I thought I’d moved on. Then he hobbles into my physical therapy office and I realize how absolutely wrong I’ve been—there’s no getting over Jude Taylor.

But now things are complicated. Jude lives half a country away and his career is in direct opposition to my need for stability. Most of all, getting involved with him could mean losing my job and everything I’ve worked so hard for.

Jude doesn’t seem to mind one bit and he’s all in. He might be a patient in my office, but he’s no longer the patient guy I remember.

This time, he’s playing to win, and the prize he’s looking to score is me.

With the first book in her new hockey Ice Kings series, Stacey Lynn knocked it out of the park and delighted this reader with PLAYING TO WIN! The character development is strong, the chemistry is steaming hot and the likability of the characters is off the charts.

Jude is an attention grabbing character right off the bat. We get to see his vulnerable side from the beginning as he is handed the details about his injury and what it’s going to take to get him back out there on the ice. It just so happens he gets sent home to Chicago to rehab … and to the very clinic that “the one that go away” works as a physical therapist.

Katie is easy to like. She and Jude weren’t anything serious back in college, but only because just after he finally got her to agree date him and they shared their first amazing night together, he ran out the door to go make his dreams come true. She hasn’t forgotten him over the years … but she also hasn’t changed her mind about wanting to live a settled down life in a town she loves.

I highly recommend this reunion story of past college sweethearts. It’s fast paced and has a good cast of friends and family in the mix. I’m looking forward to more to come in the series!

Excerpt:

“You step inside this place and I’m going to kiss you.” Yeah, that’s the asshole thing I say to her first. Not hello. Not wow, you’re beautiful in Storm gear but you’d look hotter wearing my jersey.

Which might be equally douchebaggery.

To the delight of the blood rushing straight below my waist, she steps inside and lets the door close behind her. “I didn’t text you for that, but I won’t turn it down.”

I jerk my chin up. “Then get your sweet ass over here.”

She doesn’t even hesitate, which means I’m grinning when she reaches me. I grab her hand and yank her the rest of the way, loving the way she slams into my chest with a quiet oomph.

Before she can blink or reconsider, my hand is at the back of her head, mine is lowering, and I press my lips against hers, sliding my tongue inside her mouth without hesitation.

Everything inside me from my chest to my dick sparks and sizzles and for the first time in weeks, possibly longer, I feel alive and strong and exactly where I’m supposed to be. I’m resting on the wall, one arm settled over a crutch. It makes kissing her without falling over difficult, but after an adjustment, I’m able to get both of my hands on her cheeks, fingers in her hair, thumbs at her jaw. I tilt her head and move, pressing my back to the wall and bring her with me.

Her hands are above my hips, holding me tight, clutching the fabric of my shirt and my balls are so fucking full with the need to release just from a simple kiss, I’m afraid of what will happen if she presses her stomach against mine.

But she’s moaning, whimpering needy little breaths straight into my throat. I can’t stop or slow down. She tastes like peppermint with a hint of alcohol and I like knowing she’s graduated from beer to what hints of gin.

“Shit,” I groan, taking a breath before devouring her again. “I can’t believe you’re here.”

She huffs against me and pulls back, her lips brushing against mine. I’m hard from a kiss and an old memory of how good she feels when she’s wearing nothing at all.

“I came over to talk.” She’s breathless, cheeks flushed, pupils dilated with desire.

“We are talking.” I slide my mouth along her jaw. “Don’t you understand what I’m saying?”

Who needs words when we have our bodies?

She has to know mine is screaming I’m yours.

She’s the love of his life… but is he still hers?

FBI agent Derrick Matthews has finally found his childhood sweetheart and the love of his life—but she isn’t exactly happy about it! Years ago, Hannah Rawlings disappeared overnight when her family went on the run, and she blames Derrick. She tells him she’s moved on and he should, too, but Derrick fears Hannah’s still in danger. He vows to protect her—even if that means betraying her trust…again.

A sweet romance full of mystery, memories and love everlasting! ALWAYS THE ONE is book four in Tara Randel’s Meet Me at the Altar series and brings us the story of FBI agent Derrick Matthews and the one that got away. The story line caught my attention quickly and I enjoyed watching them reconnect.

Derrick is easy to like and sympathize with as he reminisces about his first and only love. When he receives something in the mail that makes him think of her and wonder if it could be a clue of where she is, he is quick to set out on a journey to try to find her one last time.

Hannah is not so easy to like. She’s very cold and judgemental when he finally finds her because she blames him and his interference for the fact that her family had to run all those years ago. I had a hard time forgiving her for her attitude and how she strung him along, but eventually she mellowed out.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet reunion story with a hint of danger and intrigue thrown in.

When your stepbrother is a hot hockey stud with more notches in his bedpost than, well anyone, he’s the perfect candidate to help you gain a little bedroom experience. At least that's my plan this V-day…

Note: This is a hot and steamy standalone novelette. Contents include: One sweet but rough-around-the-edges hockey player who’s going a little crazy. One blunt, knows-what-she-wants heroine who picks through his self-defense. No cheating. Low angst. And a sweet, melty HEA.

A fun and sassy novella in Kendall Ryan’s Hot Jocks world! Morgan and Isla’s story is too short to give a lot of conflict or relationship build-up, but it was a steamy, flirty way to reveal to us who Morgan had his sights on.

I recommend this series as a whole to anyone enjoying a close-knit group of pro hockey playing friends and the women they are settling down with. There’s laughs, there’s friendship, there’s steamy connections and a whole lot of heart all the way around!

Sometimes people come into a person’s life and make their heart skip a beat.

Those people are called cops.

Well, one cop in particular.

A SWAT officer for the Kilgore Police Department, to be specific.

The first time Avery Flynn saw Derek Roberts, she was photographing him for the first annual Kilgore Police Department SWAT calendar. He was leaned back in his squad car, shirtless, and giving her a smile that was completely between them. A smile that hinted at what he wanted to do to her later.

When she scrounges up the courage to ask him out after the photoshoot, he laughs in her face.

Well, screw you, too, Mr. February.

***

Derek Roberts never really paid attention to the photographer.

She was a mousy girl who dressed like a twelve-year-old girl. Her tight leggings, extra baggy Star Trek t-shirt denoting her a Klingon captain, and her surprisingly clean Chucks didn’t leave much of an impression.

Now, the outfit that she was in weeks after he rebuffed her? Yeah, now that caught his attention.

Too bad that happens when he’s trying to save her from what’s sure to be death thanks to an unhinged native Texan who’s convinced she was the reason he lost his last chance at a million dollars.

When he tries to save her, she tells him she’d rather take a cattle prod to the forehead than go anywhere with him.

Challenge. Accepted.

Forbidden desire at it’s best! FRIES BEFORE GUYS is book two in Lani Lynn Vale’s delicious KPD SWAT Generation 2.0 series and center around the chief of police’s son Derek and the teen photographer we saw in a previous book Avery. The story line has so much happening that you can’t take your eyes off it for a minute. Lots of sass, loads of sexual tension and so much heart you just can’t stand it. Really enjoyed them!

Avery is a character that makes you want to take her under your wing and be her family. She’s lost both of her parents in recent years and is struggling to just get by and finish school. Her photography business is keeping her busy and it’s at a photo shoot for the police force calendar where she meets the man she can’t stop thinking about .. only problem is, he treats her like someone else’s kid sister.

Derek takes charge of the scene as soon as he walks in. He’s self-assured, always aware and lusting after someone he can’t have. What’s a guy to do? When situation after situation keeps popping up around her, he decides he’s going to be there for her no matter what … and when he decides to be all in, the chemistry is off the charts!

I highly recommend this book and the series as a whole to anyone who enjoys a sassy writing style with a boatload of heart, steamy scenes, and a surrounding cast of close friends and family. You can’t go wrong with Kilgore Police Department! Looking forward to more in the series.

When disaster strikes, a Colton comes to the rescue!

When an earthquake hits Mustang Valley, first responder Grayson Colton finds an abandoned truck—and a fugitive in need of help. Savannah Oliver claims she’s been falsely accused of her husband’s murder. Grayson’s protective instincts come out in full force as he helps Savannah prove her innocence. But as Savannah’s past comes back to haunt her, Grayson must use every survival tactic he knows to keep them both alive.

The Colton baby switch suspense builds! With book four in The Coltons of Mustang Valley series, Linda O. Johnston brings us Grayson’s story in COLTON FIRST RESPONDER. I’m enjoying this series very much, and though this wasn’t my favorite book so far, it brought a satisfying conclusion to it’s own story and gave us a big reveal at the end that is going cause lots of excitement in the coming books.

Grayson Colton is an interesting character. He’s not super close with his family, but he does feel drawn to some of them at this time of turmoil. He comes across as a kind man … though overly trusting, but it makes him a really nice guy.

Savannah was complex. You wanted to believe her side of the story, but there was a lot of doubt considering the place she found herself at that moment. I was happy to see her case resolved properly.

I’m enjoying this series as a whole very much. This book was a bit looser than some with a few parts that were fairly unbelievable, but it did bring a satisfying end … and it gives a big hint in the overall story line at the end. My biggest pet peeve … “first responder” was way overused in this book … like dozens upon dozens of times.

Just one night? Can she resist the temptation?

Sadie Slade isn’t interested in romantic entanglements. She’s been there, done that. But handsome CEO Carrick Murphy tangles things up for her—fast. Their steamy one-night stand has made them parents-to-be. And she still can’t stop fantasizing about a repeat with the stubborn bachelor—despite the secrets they’re both keeping. Is it time for them to take a chance on happiness?

Sinfully sexy! With the first book in her Murphy International series, Joss Wood brings us a few familiar faces in ONE LITTLE INDISCRETION. For those that read the author’s Love in Boston series, you’ll recognize the Murphy family that is the centerpiece of this series. The plot is intriguing and the characters captivating.

Sadie catches a reader’s eye immediately because we hear of her brush with death and quickly watch her connect with the man who didn’t leave her side during her terror. One night of passion is supposed to get him out of her system, but the baby they discover is on the way a few weeks later isn’t going to be easy to overlook!

Carrick is a really interesting character. He’s got a reputation of ruthlessness, but he’s only showing a genuinely good heart every time he interacts with Sadie. I enjoyed him a lot.

I highly recommend this book and am looking forward for more to come from the Murphy family!
