I will admit to loving the drama of her sexy firefighters and hockey players slightly more, but I can dig the rom-com on occasion.

Max Henderson makes his living based on the ugly side of love. As a prestigious divorce attorney, he’s seen just how bad it can get between two people who swore to be each other’s everything just a short time ago. He’s cynical enough about the institution of marriage that you’ll never see him anywhere near it!

Wedding planner Charlie Love just happens to be planning a wedding that he is going to want to be involved in. He might not agree with it all for himself, but he’s going to have to bite his tongue and agree to the things she and the bride and groom plan. Along the way, an attraction flares between the two of them and he just might find himself looking forward a forever after all when it’s all said and done.

An intense story line, filled with intrigue, danger and a happily ever after! The latest from Tara Randel packs a punch! Not only do we get the normal sweet romance that she’s known for, but we also get a boatload of mystery as they go undercover and we have to try to figure out who the bad guys are in the midst of a dangerous criminal ring. The characters were well developed, the plot flowed fairly smoothly and the case kept my attention. I would have liked to have seen a bit more of their romance together, but overall, it was a compellingly rich plot and gave me that happily ever after I was looking for.

Florida detective Dante Matthews is a fun-loving guy. His leap before he thinks attitude has gotten him into trouble a few times in his career, but he always gets the job done and it’s simply the only way he’s ever known to be. When he’s placed on assignment with a co-worker … the very co-worker whose name is also in the ring a promotion against him … things get very interesting!

Eloise Archer is thrilled to be in the running for the vacant Sergeant position, but she knows Dante is tough competition, and when she’s paired with him on her first undercover assignment with the stakes being the promotion, all bets are off. What they don’t count on, is the endless pull of attraction drawing them to wish they really were the husband and wife team they are portraying!

She’s able to help him see another side to his family issues, and he’s able to make her see a part of herself she’s never stopped to realize before. I enjoyed it!

Ellie McDonald is tired of being the good girl who doesn’t speak up for herself and lets people walk all over her. She’s vowing to change her ways, and to kick it all off, she’s doing things she knows will make her face rejection so she can toughen up her spirit. Next on her list … ask out the baseball player who has been the object of her lusting for some time now!

Short-stop for the Indianapolis Bobcats, Jake Armstrong isn’t sure what to make of Ellie all of a sudden asking him out on an old-fashioned date, but he’s game! One date turns into debauchery and disaster, but leads to a connection they don’t want to break. Jake has his own issues that he doesn’t enjoy facing, but time with Ellie makes him be willing to stand up for better treatment as well.

Former Army doctor and current surgeon Jacob Ryder hates the spotlight and when he finds out that Molly and her intrusive cameras are coming to spotlight his friend’s case, he refuses to be a part of it. Watching the beautiful diagnostician work though is quite intriguing, and before long, he just might be changing some of his thoughts about her.

An emotional rollercoaster that will leave you smiling! This story was quick to draw my attention with it’s in depth details of what each character is feeling as the setting is laid out. We get not only the potential romance of Cass and Luke, but also several feel good moments between the older characters and with the teens. It’s a complex story with many pieces pulling at our hearts, but it comes together well. Memorable, sweet and very enjoyable. Loved it!

When Cass Gentry heads back to Lake Miniagua, it’s bittersweet. This is the only place that’s ever felt like home, but memories that made her run in the first place assail her at every turn. She’s temporarily in charge of her feisty teenage sister and has to decide what to do with her life. Checking out the orchard that she’s now half owner of is first on her list.

Luke Rassiter bought out her Aunt Zoey’s half of the orchard several years ago, so he’s now her partner. He too is at a bit of a crossroad, but the enjoyment he gets from working in this peaceful place is pulling him more than anything at the moment. The attraction between he and Cass is evident from the moment they meet, but they each have loved and lost and each carrying the baggage around to show for it. Will they find the pull too strong to ignore for long?
