Santa is coming to New York!

Snow is falling, excitement is high and the delicious scent of chocolate drifts along Fifth Avenue – the Candied Apple Café is ready for Christmas! And no one is busier than publicist Iona Summerlin. Hotel boss Mads Eriksson is not looking forward to the first Christmas since losing his wife. His six-year-old daughter Sofia has lost her belief in Christmas magic along with her mother, and he has no idea what to do. The future is bleak until a ray of sunshine enters their world! A story of adjusting to life after loss … and embracing the goodness that comes around even though you don’t think you’re ready! The characters are fairly well developed and it’s easy to get wrapped up in their story!

When a business meeting brings them in contact with an elf-like bundle of holiday cheer, Mads can’t help but be drawn to the dashing Iona and how she seems to connect with his little girl!

Swept off her feet by the boss!

When hotel tour guide Callie McKenzie is trapped in an elevator with a gorgeous stranger, they share a spark of connection so intense that it rocks normally guarded Callie to the core. So she's horrified to discover afterward that the stranger is Blake Owen, ruthless tycoon and her new boss!

Since his divorce, Blake has steered well clear of relationships, yet Callie's shy warmth intrigues him. The heartache of her past makes her a woman who deserves a fairy tale, if only Blake will risk his heart and give her everything…

Smitten with the boss! With her debut novel, Therese Beharrie takes us on a journey of overcoming past hardships in order to find their forever! This book had a fairly strong cast with good development. The conflict drug on a little and it could have done with a little more passion in their journey towards happily ever after, but it kept me wanting the rest of the story and overall was a enjoying read! Strong first showing!

When hotel tour guide Callie McKenzie gets stuck in the elevator with a stranger, she’s a bit thrown.  She’s not a fan of small spaces so she starts to freak and the sexy stranger helps calm her down, setting off sizzling sparks between them. Too bad getting rescued reveals that he’s the new boss they’ve all been dreading the arrival of!

Blake Owen has steered clear of women and relationships since his divorce, but he has to admit that there’s just something uniquely quaint about Callie. They attempt to fight their attraction to each other, but getting thrown together on project after project starts to tumble the walls they’ve erected around themselves. She deserves the world … but can he actually be a good enough man to give it to her?

The White Sandy Reservation needs a doctor, and Madeline Mitchell needs to do a little good in the world. It seems like a perfect fit, until she meets the medicine man, Rebel Runs Fast. As far as Madeline can tell, Rebel’s sole mission is to convince her patients that modern medicine can’t help them. And the fact that he makes her heart race every time he looks at her only irritates her more.

Rebel swore off the white man’s world–and women–years ago. But he’s never met a woman like Dr. Mitchell. She doesn’t speak the language, understand the customs, or believe he’s anything more than a charlatan–but she stays, determined to help his people. He tries to convince himself that his tribe doesn’t need her, but when patients start getting sick with strange symptoms, he realizes that he needs her more than ever.

Note: This book was previously published as Mystic Cowboy

They come from two different worlds, but it doesn’t take long for them both to be yearning for forever! The setting is rustic with an underlying sense of despair as an illness runs rampant through the reservation. They race against time to figure out what it is and how to help the tribe while at the same time easing into a relationship that they both realize may never be able to work out. The core characters have a steamy hot connection and their supporting cast help complete the homey feel to the cast and keep us wanting to learn more about them in the series future. I really enjoyed it!

Doctor Madeline Mitchell might not fit in on the White Sandy Reservation, but she’s determined to be the help this tribe needs in medical care. Many have come and gone before her, so people are skeptical about the new white doctor. They have more faith in their own medicine man, and he’s not one to blindly let them accept her way of medicine.

Rebel Runs Fast is keeping her on her toes for sure. He’s friendly enough and helpful when need be, but there are certain things that he makes sure his tribe refuses to let her do in treating them. He knows she doesn’t exactly believe in his ways, but they are both going to have to overcome their stubborn attitudes and work together when the mystery illness becomes more dire!

The Christmas they never had.

James Cade has one priority: keep the family ranch running smoothly in the wake of his younger brother's death. With Jesse's ex, Sofia Gallardo, and her young son, Javi, stranded at Cade Ranch over Christmas, this task just got a lot harder. The longer Sofia and Javi stay, the harder it is to imagine the ranch without them. James couldn't save his brother from his inner demons, but he can give his nephew a secure future. Maybe more—if he can figure out how to trust Sofia, and stop feeling like he's betraying Jesse. Because trying to stop thinking about beautiful, determined Sofia is impossible.

A heart wrenching story of love, forgiveness and redemption! Sometimes the hardest forgiveness to give is to yourself … and watching it occur is a beautiful thing. James carries a guilt no one else can understand … until he meets Sofia and learns of her own self-doubt. Apart they are haunted, but together they can see the strength in forgiving themselves and honoring Jesse’s memory the only way he would have wanted. This story delves into a touchy subject and brings us two very different sides of the picture. We learn the innocent family’s side and how it can tear them apart to have to doubt their loved one … and we learn the agitators side and how they hope and pray every day for answers that their body just isn’t willing to give them. A very powerful message … and a sweet story of coming out on the other side!

James Cade would do anything for his family, and when they are all blindsided by his little brother’s death, he steps up to take charge and keep them all afloat while their hearts are crumbling. When a surprise shows up at the ranch when they least expect it, he has to stay on guard and protect his family from whatever deceit may be hiding within … but as his heart starts to defrost and warm up to the interlopers, he might be in bigger trouble than he thought!

Sofia Gallardo only intended to make a quick stop through Carbondale, Colorado, but when she finds herself stranded at Cade Ranch with her son, she hesitantly accepts their help and hopes to give her son the best Christmas he’s ever had! Javi might no longer have his father, but letting him get to know his extended family might be the next best thing.

Aunt Doreen takes a cake knife from the drawer, clears her throat and the two sisters squint at each other. My body tenses. This body language usually precedes some unanticipated concession by me. Busying myself by returning the coffee tin to the cabinet, I turn to escape the kitchen before…

“Cole.”

Shit. Not fast enough. “Yes, Mom.”

Mom starts, “We’ve been talking.”

I open my mouth, but Aunt Doreen jumps in before I can get anything out. “We know that you’re a grown man now, and you’re starting a high-profile career.”

“But I don’t want my son to have a bad-boy reputation,” Mom blurts out. She cups my cheek. “I didn’t raise you to be wild.”

Her sister moves in for the kill, placing her hand on my forearm for a brief moment. “Please be careful. Don’t get caught up in the lifestyle you’ll be offered.”

Mom drops her hand. “Promise me you won’t become one of those out-of-control stars we hear about on the news.”

My heart races. I need a cigarette. I’m flanked by two of the strongest women I’ve ever known, and their concern is both touching and intrusive. But it’s born from love. I glance from one pair of green eyes to the next and swallow.

Mom presses. “Promise me.”

I’m not giving up the perks of my soon-to-be-lifestyle—women and parties being at the top of the list. I’ve earned this. However, the set of their jaws tells me I’m not getting out of this kitchen without giving them my word.

“Promise,” she repeats.

I gauge the distance to the dining room. Too far. Mom crosses her arms, and Aunt Doreen follows suit.

Rubbing my hands up and down my legs, I mumble, “Okay, fine, I promise. I won’t get a bad rep.”

Dazzling smiles greet my capitulation. They pick up the dessert and dishes and leave me in the kitchen wondering how the hell I’m going to both honor and get around my vow.

Author Bio

For as long as Arell Rivers can remember, she has been lost in a book. During her senior year in college, she picked up a Danielle Steel novel … and instantly was hooked on romance.

Arell started writing her first novel because the characters were screaming at her to do so. The story started coming out in her dreams and attacking her in the shower, so she took to the computer to shut them up. But they kept talking.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Arell has what some may call a “checkered past.” Prior to discovering her passion for writing romance, she practiced law, was a wedding and event planner and even dabbled in marketing. Arell lives with a very supportive husband and two mischievous cats. When not in her writing cave, Arell is found making dinner in the crock pot, working out with Shaun T or hitting the beach.

Arell is a member of the New Jersey chapter of Romance Writers of America.

Keep a song in your heart this holiday season…

Music teacher Ella Baker’s plate is already full. But when single dad Beckett McKinley’s wild twin boys need help preparing a Christmas song for their father, Ella agrees on one condition: they teach her to ride a horse. She’s hoping that’ll help mend her strained relationship with her rancher father; it certainly has nothing to do with the crush that’s lingered since her one and only date with Beck.

It isn’t disinterest spurring Beck to keep his distance—if anything, the spark is too strong, with Ella reminding him of his ex-wife. Soon what started as an innocent arrangement is beginning to feel a lot like family. But with the holidays approaching, Beck and Ella will have to overcome past hurts if they want to keep each other warm this Christmas…

With that special voice that we adore, RaeAnne Thayne never fails to wrap a cowboy around our heart and reel us in! She writes endearing characters who have overcome loss and tragedy to go on to thrive and find love. This story brings us a single dad with a set of rowdy twin sons that could try the patience of a saint … but their teacher happens to adore them … and their daddy!

Ella Baker has been back in Pine Gulch for over a year now, and is still trying her best to mend her strained relationship with her ailing father. She wishes he could see her as more than just the city upbringing she had with her mother. She’s enjoying her job teaching music to the kids of the town, but she wants so much more.

Neighboring rancher Beckett McKinley can’t deny he likes seeing Ella around town and working with his son’s for the upcoming Christmas pageant, but she reminds him a little too much of his former wife who hated ranch living and wanted the excitement from the city life she was used to. When his boys agree to teach her to ride a horse in exchange for her helping them prepare a song surprise for him for Christmas, he finds himself enjoying her company around his ranch more than he should!

WHEN YOU PLAY FOR LOVE, YOU PLAY FOR KEEPS

Stella Davenport wasn't made for small-town life. Sure, teaching ballet in Blanco Valley, Colorado, is great, but she longs for the chance to perform in a big city. Stella swore she'd never let anything get in the way of her dream-until sexy, broad-shouldered Brandon West walks back into her life. Stella is determined to resist him, even if arguing with Brandon is sexier than any foreplay.

Chemistry abounds between two unlikely people! A sassy connection between a single dad and the local ballet teacher makes for a really fun read! They bounce witty comebacks off each other every chance they get, and when they finally decide to give in to the attraction they feel, sparks ignite! The characters are easy to like, and although the romance is slow to happen, it’s a nice build up throughout. I enjoyed their story!

To choose between justice and love

There's a burglar on the loose in the beach town of Wallis Point, and undercover detective Lyndsay Fairfax is pursuing every lead. Even the one that takes her straight to the brother of handsome marine veteran John Reilly. John, whose lively restaurant is the heart of the town, is the first person Lyndsay has connected with since her husband's death. But she can't tell him who she really is, and she can't let his brother slide if he's the culprit. Lyndsay has to figure out how to do the right thing without also losing the man who is so right for her…

Love when she least expects it! She’s not looking to have chemistry with a man who may have family involved in the crime she’s investigating, but that’s exactly what she gets! The plot is intriguing and keeps us guessing from the start trying to figure out who and what is really going on around there. The characters are well developed and though the romance is a tad light, the story flows well and leads to a great conclusion!

Police officer Lyndsay Fairfax certainly isn’t looking to make a romantic connection while she’s on her first undercover assignment in Wallis Point, but she finds it none-the-less! In pursuing leads on a burglary ring, she poses as a tradesmen to get in with the contractors around the area who know the ins and outs of the area houses. That takes her to the local hangout a lot … and face to face with a sexy brooding stranger!

Former marine John Reilly never envisioned himself helping run the family restaurant and bar, yet circumstances and tragedy led to this very place. When a lead puts his little brother on Lyn’s radar with the break-ins, John doesn’t have a clue and continues to believe they are starting a possible relationship. When she is left with no alternative than to turn over the info she knows, will they be able to salvage any part of their friendship … and more … once all is said and done?

He needs to stop running from his mistakes.

Cowboy or doctor? Sawyer McCord has been wrestling with that question since he came home to the Circle H after fleeing his remote clinic in the Himalayas. A tragedy there has him doubting his medical skills, but his reception on the ranch has been chilly at best. Sawyer can't blame his family—or Olivia Wilson, his brother's ex—for their anger. So why does Olivia's opinion of him suddenly matter so much? Sawyer has unfinished business here and at his clinic. If he's ever going to redeem himself, he needs to start by making amends to the one woman who might never forgive him.

Can you ever come home again? With the third book in her Kansas Cowboys series Leigh Riker brings us Sawyer’s story. He’s suddenly back at the Circle H after years away and struggling to see if he fits in there anymore. The overall tone of the story is forgiveness … it’s hard to do, and easy to refuse but powerful motivators can guide even the most hard-headed person into giving it a try. Olivia is the perfect example … she wasn’t easy to like. She came off as being a fairly cold and rigid person when she thought someone had done her wrong, but love and experience shows her the path to easing her heart. A sweet story!

Sawyer McCord rode off into the sunset of his family ranch in Kansas many years ago and appeared to hardly ever look back. He distanced himself from friends and family alike to take medical care into destitute parts of the Himalayas. Now fleeing from the heartache of tragedy that struck his home away from home, he’s back on the Circle H trying to see if he still fits in. Is he still that doctor that he wanted so much to be, or should he just settle in and enjoy being a cowboy again?

Olivia Wilson is far from happy to see Sawyer arrive back at the ranch. She’s still holding a grudge for his part in a tragedy that occurred there all those years ago. As she spends time around him and sees the pain in his eyes, she reaches out to find out what happened that has him so tortured. Will she be able to help him find peace with the past and look forward to a future?
