He’s the bad boy of baseball who’s about to lose everything.
She needs a husband to get custody of her teenage sister.
Suddenly a marriage of convenience doesn’t look so bad.

Pitcher, Jaxon Prescott has a lot on his plate. Major League Baseball. Reputation as a player. And now? He’s on the verge of losing it all. He didn’t mean to sleep with his general manager’s daughter or get into a brawl that was captured on camera. But his notoriety is a problem and everything he's worked for is at risk.

What’s a bad boy to do? Marry his sister's best friend to save his career, even if it’s the opposite of everything he wants and believes in.

Macy Walker is the sole guardian of her half-sister until the girl’s mother returns and wants her daughter back. In order to win custody, Macy needs to provide stability and marrying someone would do the trick. Luckily for her, her best friend’s brother needs a wife.

They're this close to getting exactly what they want - as long as they don't fall in love.

This series just keeps getting better! With book three in her always steamy Dare Nation series Carly Phillips brings the bad boy baseball playing brother to life in DARE TO PLAY. Jaxon has always felt like the underdog in the family, but playing baseball has been a dream come true, and he’s not ready to throw that dream away just because he likes to enjoy life a little bit in his downtime. Watching him fall in love when he least expects it is golden and I just can’t tell you how much I loved the side of him that Macy brought out. Looking forward to more in the series!

Jaxon is adorable. He’s sexy and man does he know it, and he enjoys the revolving door of women in his bed, but he’s up in arms of why everything has to be such a big deal to the powers that be in management. He doesn’t want to settle down and stop hitting the daily headlines, but what’s a guy to do?

Macy is super easy to like. She’s trying hard to care for her rebellious teen sister but now her former step-mom has decided she wants to play at being a mother again and she’s afraid she’s not going to be able to protect her sis from her. A night of fun with Jaxon is just what she needs to let off a little steam, but she’s not expecting them to decide a marriage of convenience will solve both of their problems.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who loves the saga of a high powered family of siblings in the sports world finding their happily ever after one at a time amid drama, corruption and sibling love.
