The Coltons of Shadow Creek series comes to a shocking Christmas climax in two heart-pounding stories ...

Special Agent Cowboy by Regan Black

When hackers strike Colton, Inc., they put executive Marie Meyers in their crosshairs. FBI agent Emiliano Ortega is charged with protecting the beautiful city girl on his ranch. But keeping their mutual attraction professional under the mistletoe is impossible…

The Marine’s Christmas Case by Lara Lacombe

When Dario Ortega meets Felicity Grant, the lovely marine-turned-PI spurns his advances. Instead, Dario offers his tech expertise to help Felicity solve the Colton, Inc., hacking. Working the case together softens Felicity’s steely heart and makes Dario rethink bachelorhood. But can they catch a killer Colton in time for Christmas?

Suspense and action lead the way in this two novella ending to the Coltons of Shadow Creek mystery! The story lines were intermixed as we try to find out who is terrorizing Colton, Inc. with a hacking scandal as two brothers work towards finding  their happily ever afters with the new women in their lives. SPECIAL AGENT COWBOY was a 4 1/2 star read for me … the intrigue was intense and we were thrust into it quickly. The characters were easy to like and kept our attention as their love story began to spark amidst the danger surrounding them. The ending was a bit abrupt, but overall it was a great read. THE MARINE’S CHRISTMAS CASE was a 4 star read for me … the build-up of the characters and suspense was a bit more lackluster, but we were embedded into the storyline deep enough from the previous stories to want to find out the conclusion to the overall mystery surrounding the Colton’s.  The characters were likable, but weren’t developed as much as they could have been to deliver a full-bodied story. Overall, the two parter was a delightful read!

FBI agent Emiliano Ortega is tasked with protecting Marie Meyers when hackers put the beautiful exec in danger by targeting her for their dirty deeds in the first novella of this combo. The intense attraction hits them hard even as they try to stay clear of each other … will he be able to keep her safe when danger comes knocking?

Dario Ortega volunteers his techie expertise to former Marine turned private investigator Felicity Grant. She’s determined not to be another notch on the playboys belt, but as danger surrounds them she starts to see another side to her sexy sidekick. Will he be able to win her over before they get in over their head with this hacker case?
