After a hot hook-up on New Year’s Eve, Crystal Donovan plans to avoid Jamie Westcott, which could be difficult, given the size of Ribbon Ridge. But she’s only there a few days doing research on the town’s history then it’s back to her glam life in LA. When his family holds the key to unraveling a century-old mystery she has to seek him out—and the sparks are still flying.

Jamie Westcott works his ass off to repay his college loans, which doesn’t leave much time for other commitments. Crystal’s a perfect fling: she’s fun and sexy and, best of all, they have little in common and she lives somewhere else. Only, the more time they spend together the closer they get, despite their intent to keep things casual.

When everyone learns Crystal sold a screenplay exposing the dark secrets of Ribbon Ridge—and Jamie’s family—she becomes the town pariah. Jamie won’t leave and Crystal can’t stay—can love show them another way?

Finding love when you least expect it! A super casual hook-up ends up turning their lives upside down when neither can resist the pull of going back for more! I love the characters of this series and really enjoy getting to see the Archer family throughout it. This book threw me a little because it stirred up the ugliness of current events in my mind and lured me away from the fictional haze I usually enjoy when losing myself in a story. It was well written, and I enjoyed how it all played out though.

Jamie Westcott and Crystal Donovan share a one-night fling on New Year’s Eve and then go on with their every day life afterwards. He reaches out, but she feels awkward and ignores him until they accidentally cross paths again. The timing is beneficial to her though, so she seeks him out to inquire about some family history she stumbled on during her research of Ribbon Ridge’s history and her work on a screenplay about the old building site they stumbled upon at the winery.

She lives in the glamour of LA, and he’s working his finger to the bone to pay off his student loans and past debit. Can they actually make anything more than a casual fling work? Neither can deny how attached they are becoming to each other, but it may all go up in flames when she stumbles upon some family history that isn’t pretty!
