From shy Cinderella…

To convenient princess!

For sensible Dr. Laurel Martin, heading up a new lab for royal doc Sheikh Tariq Al Marktum is the chance to conduct the study of a lifetime. But to protect Laurel from the scandal her presence in his palace will cause, Tariq has his own condition—a paper marriage! Swept into his desert kingdom, passion overtakes the convenient couple, but can Laurel find her place in Tariq’s world—and his heart?

Attention grabbing from start to finish! Susan Carlisle’s latest is sure to delight a medical romance fan. The characters are intriguing, the setting is authentically cultural and the sexual tension is thick enough to cut with a knife. The ending was a bit abrupt, but overall I really enjoyed their story!

Doctor Laurel Martin has dedicated her medical career to studying a disease that harms many, so when her funding is lost just when she’s on the verge of a break through, she is devastated. She just might have to reconsider the offer she recently turned down to head up a medical lab studying the disease for the Prince of Zentar!

Sheikh Tariq Al Marktum needs his country to have a breakthrough from the disease that many are floundering with, so he’s willing to do just about anything to get the best in the field to come and start up his research lab. When Laurel finally agrees, he announces the one final hitch … in order to uphold her reputation in his home country, she has to agree to a marriage of convenience with him during the duration of her studies.
