INTERVIEW with Harlequin Presents author RACHAEL THOMAS
It’s my pleasure to host Rachael Thomas today on her Blog Tour for her brand new book TO BLACKMAIL A DI SIONE, available both in print and digital in the links provided above! Thanks for being here Rachael!
- Is there a special memory that you have about when you decided you wanted to become an author?
I decided I wanted to be an author when I was about eight years old. My class had been set the task of writing a short story and once done, mine was read out as a good example of how to do that. It was the start of a very big dream!
- Is there a particular author that you remember being the first that drew you into being a fan of the Romance genre?
I’ve always loved the Romance genre, since I was a teenager, but Liz Fielding visited my local writing group about ten years ago and brought with her Kate Walker’s 12 Point Guide to Writing Romance. From that moment on my fate was sealed – I wanted to write for Harlequin Presents and nothing else would do.
- If you could visit one place in the world that you have never been, where would it be?
I have always wanted to see Niagara Falls. It’s now sitting at the top of my list!
- What do you enjoy doing when you’re not writing?
Other than reading? I am a keen photographer, but very much a beginner with lots to learn yet. I also love visiting old castles, of which there are plenty in Wales where I live and grand houses.
- Is there a topic you’ve always wanted to write about that you haven’t had a chance to yet?
One day I’d like to write a book which is set in the past – but not for a while yet, I have too many Presents stories to write first.
- Any future books or projects that you want to share with us to look forward to?
Married For the Italian’s Heir, which is part of the Brides for Billionaires miniseries will be out in November 2016 and I have just started writing my own duet about the Valdez brothers.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
I love escaping to distant shores with my characters, entering their glamorous world and feeling all the emotions they experience as they discover their love for one another. A love so strong it will overcome all obstacles eventually, leading to that promised happy ever after.
