My favorite one yet in the Texas Rangers: Elite Troop series by Angi Morgan!  It was filled with danger and mystery, yet had a ton of sweetness of all of these strong people trying to protect these little kids … and a little romance thrown in to boot!  Really enjoyed it.

Texas Ranger Josh Parker only has his kids left in life, so when a group of criminals want to hit him where it hurts, kidnapping his twins has definitely done it!  Josh races against danger to try to get his kids back.  With the help of their caretaker Tracey Cassidy, he is prepared to do whatever it takes … even if it means breaking the laws that he’s sworn to uphold!

Will they win the race against the clock?  And along the way, will he and Tracey have to admit how they feel about each other?

I have to say that (although not strictly romance) I love Nora Roberts’s books. I just finished The Obsession, and (please refer to the above question about my love of dogs) my favorite character in the book is Tag, the dog. He even has a pivotal role in the conclusion of the book!

Sweet, sexy and addictive!  Another great story by Melissa Foster where she wraps the whole family and community around the couple.  Love it!

After months of long-distance communication and flirting, actress Parker Collins and artist Grayson Lacroux plan to meet up in his neck of the woods, Wellfleet, Massachusetts when she comes into town for her charity work, but when she never shows up, Grayson assumes maybe he took it more seriously than she did.  Imagine his surprise when he stumbles across her unexpectedly!

A great start to the new Cattlemen Crime Club series by Barb Han!  It’s exciting from the first page as we try to figure out who is up to no good and why!

Recent transplant to Bluff, TX, Kate Williams is minding her own business heading in to work for the morning when someone attempts to snatch her adopted infant son from her arms!  She holds him off and lucks into Dallas O’Brien seeing what is happening and jumping in to save her and her baby.

Dallas takes her under his wing and off to the Sheriff’s office where they find out there’s something big going on and Kate and her son seem to be right in the middle of it.  He whisks them off to his ranch to keep them safe until they can figure out who is behind the attempted kidnapping and they try to unravel the web of lies surrounding the adoption … and figure out if it’s possible this is the possible son Dallas has been trying to track down!

Without much thought except for comfort, instinctively I pressed myself against him, fitting into his arms as easy as breathing. He leaned against the brick wall of the neighboring building and wrapped me up, sensing my need to be grounded.

Bloom Freelander overcame a lot to get to where she is today.  She has her own practice giving psychiatric help to victims of abuse from The Lemonade Stand shelter, and she’s come a long way in healing herself.  She’s really thrown for a loop when she finds out the safety she thought she had has come to an end and her ex-husband is out of prison!

Detective Sam Larson feels nothing but guilt over the fact that Bloom’s husband has been released.  He promised her she’d be safe if she testified against him, and he’s let her down.  He’ll do anything to make sure she’s not made into the victim again … including putting his life on hold to get her to a safe house and have her protected!

A royal take on a friends to enemies to lovers story!

Princess Stella Constantinides of Akathinia is not happy to be walking down the aisle towards King Kostas Laskos of Carnelia, but for the peace and safety of her kingdom, she has agreed to this wedding.  She’s not going to bend to his will and be his meek little sidekick though!

Kostas regrets the hatred Stella feels towards him, when all he tried to do all those years ago was protect her from himself.  He sets out to make things right with them and have a partnership in their marriage instead of animosity.

Stella has gotten over that schoolgirl crush she had on him .. or at least she wants to think she has!
