Book Review – ROGUE by Laura Marie Altom

3 1/2 STARS!

Lots of excitement in this book.  We know from the beginning who the bad guys is, but there is a lot of suspense as we try to figure out if they are going to be able to get away from him or not.

Nash Adamson is a former Navy SEAL, who is trying to overcome some personal loss in his life when he gets a call from his high school girlfriend’s mother asking him for help.  Maisey has evidently gotten mixed up with a major drug lord and is in danger.

Maisey Blake fell for Vincente Rodriguez’s lines and thought he was her long awaited Prince Charming come to claim her at last.  Little did she know that he was already married when he married her after finding out she was pregnant with the child he is desperate for.

Will Nash be able to rescue Maisey from where Vincente is holding her hostage?

Blog Tour / Book Review – SURRENDER MY LOVE – Melissa Foster

4 1/2 STARS!

It should really be unbelievable when you read these stories where they are magically in love within a few days or a few weeks, but *sigh* it just works with some people.  Leesa & Cole are just magic.  They light up a room when they are around each other.  Such a cute couple.

Annalise Avalon’s world fell apart a few months ago, and she needed to get away and recoup herself after all the investigation is over, so she goes to visit her friend Tegan in Peaceful Harbor.  She quickly meets Cole and is drawn to him immediately even though she knows she shouldn’t be.

Cole Braden is a top orthopedic surgeon in his hometown and is surrounded by his extended family.  He is taken with Leesa as soon as he sets eyes on her and doesn’t want to take any excuses as to why she can’t go on a date with him.

Will Cole be able to help Leesa put her life back together and convince her that it should be there with him, or will she still go home and take the new job being offered to her in Baltimore?

The Bradens at Peaceful Harbor #2:

Love in Bloom: The Bradens #14
By: Melissa Foster

Releasing January 13, 2016
World Literary Press

Annalise “Leesa” Avalon never realized that one sentence could change her life until one of her students revealed his crush—and within twenty-four hours she finds herself under fire. After a grueling investigation that turns her life upside down, she steals away to Peaceful Harbor, Maryland, with a new identity to try to pull herself back together and figure out her next step.

From the outside, Cole Braden lives a charmed life. He’s a top orthopedic surgeon with a thriving practice, strong family ties, and friends he adores. But there’s a lonely spot inside Cole that no one can see. He has an enormous heart—and a painful past—but the desire to love and be loved is too strong to ignore.

A chance encounter brings Leesa and Cole together, and the attraction is immediate and intense. But a relationship is the last thing Leesa needs—and the only thing Cole wants. Long talks, heated moments, and deep connections are hard to resist, but the harder Cole tries, the more Leesa pulls away. Cole might truly be the right man for Leesa, but is Leesa the right woman for him?
