A really fun read!

Jackson Burke is settling into his new life as a health & fitness columnist at Oxford magazine in New York, but he still wants his old life back.  A year ago he was a champion Quarterback for the Texas Redhawks and married to the love of his life.  Then he suffered a career ending injury and his wife walked out on him.

Mollie Carrington is thrilled to reconnect with Jackson now that he’s living in her city. They were friends throughout his marriage to her sister, then lost touch after the divorce.  She’s not so happy when her sister tries to get her in on reconnecting them though.  She’s just glad she got over her crush on him years ago … or did she?

I really enjoyed this book and it’s characters!  There’s just something about watching people scarred from their past be able to heal and move forward in life that warms my heart.  The main couple were great, but even the supporting characters in this one were something special.  Highly recommend!

Chloe Daniels left a damaging marriage and buried herself in opening The Toy Chest in Denver several years ago.  Her world is rocked when the future of her toy store is threatened.

Ben Haddox, celebrity chef extraordinaire, comes waltzing back into his home town with plans to show all the haters and naysayers what a success the childhood troublemaker had become.  When he comes across Chloe as a stumbling block, he’s stumped … because he actually likes her!

Will Chloe let her defenses down enough to let Ben show her that he’s not the ogre the media has made him out to be all these years?  And will Ben show he’s a better man by forgiving himself for the past and having a better future?
