Sizzling chemistry and feisty attitudes! I adored Hogan & Violet! And Colt … that boy is the best kid ever! A really great story line surrounding the three of them and what life has thrown their way in the past. I loved seeing them heal and prosper! Nathan & Brooklin were kind of a side filler for me. Their story was interesting enough and I liked them, but Hogan and Violet stole the show.

An emotionally scarred man and his teenage son never expected to find salvation by working at a diner, but when that diner is owned by Violet and she showers her attitude on them, it was like being wrapped in a blanket of snarky love! Violet and Hogan flirt circles around each other, but he makes it clear he’s not into forever … never again. Violet can fight it all she wants, but no one who spends a minute in their company can deny that they are magical together. Can the heart of a good woman be the elixir that a broken man needs to heal his heart?

A sexy sheriff and a secretive new neighbor … like oil and water in small town living. Nathan Hawley is drawn to Brooklin Sweet from the first time he sees her, but she has true skills at ignoring even the smallest gesture of getting to know her. He pesters her until he eventually wears her down, but will the secrets from her past be too much for them to overcome when danger starts circling?

One night … to forever? A quick jump from strangers to living together for this drama filled story line. Each of them have their own things they are working through, but they are quick to jump in and try to make the best of the situation life gave them. It’s an interesting plot, but it drug on a bit. Something just didn’t quite click enough to make me really entrenched into the story line with them. I’m loving the series as a whole, but this would be my least favorite of the bunch so far.

Reeling from her fiance cheating on her (with another man!), Ellie Fisher lets her friend drag her out to a hot Miami nightclub to take her mind off of things. It’s definitely not her cup of tea, and she never in her life thought she would meet a sexy stranger and go back to his hotel with him for a one-night-stand … and yet here she is a few weeks later .. pregnant to prove it!

Los Angeles Devils quarterback Hudson King isn’t one to sleep around either, but he was taken with Ellie and couldn’t resist the temptation. He’s shocked … and not at all happy … when Ellie tracks him down to tell him she’s pregnant. After it sinks in, he contacts her to make amends for his poor reaction when she told him because after living his life as an orphan with no family, he refuses to have his kid settle for less than all of him. He convinces Ellie to move to Silver Springs with him to try to get to know each other and work out a way to co-parent their baby.

They find that they enjoy each other’s company, so settle in to see a bit of the sites together, and eventually he convinces her to accompany him to Edinburgh to a function … as his fake fiance!

Jackie is excited when runner guy takes her up on her offer of coffee, and then wants to see her again. She’s having fun and enjoying his attention … only when she’s with him, she finds herself thinking of Vince and comparing the two. When Vince admits he wants her, she doesn’t know what to do. Can they risk their great friendship for something they don’t know will go anywhere?

Oh, nope. Nopenopenope. A thousand, million times, nope.

She shoved up out of her chair, and the napkin tumbled from her lap to the floor.

As stunned as she was, she wasn’t sure which happened first—Jerry asking where she was going or Wolf appearing at her side.

“God, Liv. It really is you,” Wolf said. “I worried I’d never see you again.”

Liv blinked, swallowed, and played along as she stared up at that handsome Nordic face, all dark-blond and sharp-jawed good looks. “Wolf. Wow. I can’t believe it’s you.”

He stepped closer. “I see you’re in the middle of something here…”

“Yes, she is,” Jerry said. “If you’ll excuse us.”

A good mystery with several ups and downs that make us think it’s one person then second guessing to think it might be a different one. When the truth comes out, we’re along for the ride. I felt like the ending was too abrupt and we should have gotten a little more conclusion after all was sad and done, but overall, it was an attention keeping read!

With her heart in her throat, she lifted her gaze, and lost her breath at the sight of the strikingly handsome man who had once been her lover and best friend standing a few feet away with his brother, Brett. She’d met Brett once when he’d come to visit Carson at college.

Her attention moved swiftly back to Carson, and she was unable to look away. His white dress shirt was rolled up to his elbows, revealing muscular forearms, and tucked into perfectly tailored dark slacks. He was broader now, tall, and sturdy. A big, beautiful man with the classic good looks of a 1950s movie star. He raked a hand through his short hair, laughing at something Brett must have said. His familiar laughter made her knees weak.
