A baby to heal their countries and their hearts?

When Queen Leyna of Aidara took the throne, she walked away from her first love, King Xavier of Mattan, putting duty first. Now their kingdoms are under threat, and the only way to bring stability is with a royal union.

Leyna knows the man she loved has barriers around his heart, but she can’t deny the glimmer of hope she still sees in his eyes. And knowing only an heir will save their countries, they must fight to find a way back to each other…

A royal reunion! Possible danger to their people lead two leaders to figure out a plan that will strengthen the bond of their principalities … even if it means stirring up old feelings and leads them to question decisions they made in the past. The characters are both appealing, and I found myself hoping they’d be able to find their way back to each other. Strong characters, well developed conflict and an interesting plot make it a very enjoyable read!

Queen Leyna of Aidara made the difficult decision to put duty first when she took over the throne at a young age and chose to end her relationship with her childhood best friend and first love Xavier. She has worked hard to be the best Queen she can be and to keep her kingdom prosperous and at peace. When a possible threat arises, she is put in the position of having to revisit the past and relive her decisions once again.

King Xavier of Mattan knows their kingdoms will better off if he and Queen Leyna join forces … meaning they need to wed and produce an heir as soon as possible! When decisions made in the past continue to haunt them, will they be able to forgive each other and find the love they once held in their heart for each other as their future hangs in the balance?

Will a baby on the way reunite ex-lovers?

Three years after Tyce Latimore let Sage Ballantyne walk away, they end up back where they started—in bed. Now she’s carrying his child…and there’s no way he’s losing her again.

Tyce is tempting. Dangerous. Addictive. Sage left him for all the right reasons. But one passionate mistake could reunite her with the world-famous artist for all the wrong ones. A baby on the way ups the ante. So does an explosive secret that threatens their two families and could shatter Sage and Tyce’s precarious reunion…

Another sexy Ballantyne takes on the world! Really enjoying the continuation of Joss Wood’s The Ballantyne Billionaires series and getting little sister’s story! The chemistry between them is hot, and the heart wrenching story of the past intrigues us and pulls at our heart strings as we follow along on their journey towards forever. Loved it!

Three years ago, Sage Ballantyne had an explosive fling with artist Tyce Latimore for 6 short weeks and chose to walk away before she became too attached to the man who wasn’t willing to give everything that she wanted. When a chance meeting puts them in the same room together again, those same old sparks strike and lead them right back into bed with each other. This time it’s not going to be quite as easy to walk away … because she’s carrying his baby!

Tyce has virtually nothing to offer Sage, but he’s not willing to miss out on knowing his child, so he sets out to convince her that they can make this work. He knows he has to be honest with her though … and the secrets from the past just might be too much for her and her family to handle when skeletons from the closet are drug out and put on the display! Can they overcome her distrust when she finds out what he’s been keeping from her?

Her innocence—exposed!

As London’s top relationship columnist, Abby Hart can’t tell anyone her biggest secret: not only is her perfect fiancé entirely fictional, she is also utterly untouched. Invited to attend a prestigious charity ball with her “husband-to-be,” she throws herself upon the mercy of brooding millionaire Luke Shelverton.

After his own engagement ended tragically, Luke is reluctant to take credit for Abby’s diamond ring. To protect her reputation, he agrees to a convenient arrangement. Except Abby’s effervescence kindles a fire he’s tempted to indulge… And uncovering her innocence compels Luke to initiate his temporary fiancée into all the sinful delights of the bridal bed!

A favor for a friend turns into much more in Melanie Milburne’s latest Harlequin Presents! I enjoyed discovering the sweet connection between the characters who had been friendly from afar for years. Seeing them admit to their pasts and connect over what they were starting to feel for each other was a turning point in the plot of the book. I felt like the ending was rushed, but overall it was a solid read and very enjoyable!

Abby Hart is desperate! If she doesn’t find a date to take along as her so-called-fiancee “Mr. Perfect”, she can kiss her job as an advice columnist goodbye! She’s been invited to the ball of the year who only the most prestigious get invited to, so there’s no turning this down … but who will agree to be madly in love with her, just for the night?

Luke Shelverton says no way when his little sister’s best friend comes sweet talking him with his favorite baked goods asking for a favor. He wants no part of going to a high society event and pretending to be her fiancee … but he lets her tale of woe get to him and agrees to do her this favor … begrudgingly! How is he to know that spending a little time with Abby is all that it takes to have her under his skin and in his mind all the time.

Can he win back his wife?

When Caroline McNeill shows up outside her husband’s mansion, she claims to have no memory of the past year…or their passion-filled honeymoon. But faking amnesia is the only way Caroline can find out if Damon was behind her abduction. She needs to trust him—a man she craves but still barely knows—before she can tell him about their infant son. Did the Silicon Valley mogul merely marry to claim an inheritance then dispose of her? Or is what they share real and forever?

A bittersweet reunion leads to the uncovering of secrets and lies as Joanne Rock brings the next of the McNeill Magnates to life! The plot is exciting as we wait to see who is behind the dastardly deeds and if their love can survive the deception. We didn’t see as much of the family in this book as we have been in previous ones in the series, but the legwork was there with occasional mentions of the back story. Quite an enjoyable read!

Unsure who to trust after she suffered an abduction, Caroline Degraff McNeill makes her way home to her husband Damon. She decides to play a ruse and pretend to still be suffering a deeper amnesia than she actually is to see if she can decipher whether he was in on her kidnapping or not. She has to know whether she can trust him with the news she has to share with him … that she delivered him a son a few weeks ago!

Damon McNeill has been living a nightmare since his wife disappeared just after their honeymoon. He’s finally come home to the family after searching the world over, and suddenly there she is … on the sidewalk in front of their house! Where has she been? Was this all some type of game to her or was she truly taken against her will? He’ll stop at nothing to get to the bottom of what happened to his wife!
