Two powerhouse authors bring you a hilarious tale of one woman’s journey to find herself again.

Ever have one of those days where life just plain sucks? Welcome to my last three months—ever since I caught my can’t-be-soon-enough ex-husband cheating with his paralegal. I’m thirty-five years old, and I’ve lost my NYC apartment, my job, my money, and frankly, my dignity.

But the final heartache in the suck sandwich of my life? My great-aunt Maggie died. The only family member who’s ever gotten me.

Even after death, though, she’s helping me get back up. She’s willed me the keys to a house in the burbs, of all places, and dared me to grab life by the family jewels. Well, I’ve got the vise grips already in hand (my ex should take note) and I’m ready to fight for my life again.

Too bad that bravado only lasts as long as it takes to drive into Huckleberry Hills. And see the house.

There are forty-seven separate HOA violations, and I feel them all in my bones. Honestly, I’m surprised no one’s “accidentally” torched the house yet. I want to, and I’ve only been standing in front of it for five minutes. But then my hot, grumpy neighbor tells me to mow the lawn first and I’m just...done. Done with men too sexy for their own good and done with anyone telling me what to do.

First rule of surviving the burbs? There is nothing that YouTube and a glass of wine can’t conquer.

A laugh out loud, cry in your beer and love hard kind of book that will have your attention from hilarious start to emotional finish. You won’t want to put it down, and you’ll wish there were a few more chapters because you are enjoying this crazy cast so much. Bravo!

Mallory is an awesome character that is so relatable. She has just had her world snatched out from under her and there’s no time like the present to put on her big girl pants and forge her way through the diamond in the rough she just got handed.

Cheating louse of a husband pushing all the right buttons to see a side of her he’s never seen … check! Annoying neighbor being much too sexy for his own good and making her lust when she really just wants to wallow … check! Family members coming out of the woodwork to add their drama on to her own … check!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a rom-com with lots of heart and emotions. I wish I could see this group again because they were a whole lot of fun!

With a serial killer on the loose…

Secrets get you killed.

Detective Jake McAllister isn’t aware Kyra Chase is connected to a twenty-year-old unsolved murder. He sees his new case partner only as an unwelcome distraction. But with the body count rising, they’ll need to trust each other to help them catch a killer who seems to know more about Kyra than Jake does.

Highly addictive! Harlequin is bringing us a twist again in their Intrigue line that we’ve seen a time or two in the past where the same couple will star in a series of four books instead of just one. It’s a fun way to extend a storyline while bringing us even more of a couple we’re enjoying. Carol Ericson’s upcoming THE SETUP kicks off the Kyra and Jake Investigation series and each continuing book will come out the following month. There wasn’t a huge amount of romance or relationship development in this book for Kyra and Jake, but the intrigue and suspense was top notch and hooked me quickly on this storyline and in particular this serial killer case. I’m so looking forward to their continuation!

Jake is a dedicated cop who just got handed the case of a lifetime. Seeing different aspects of him begin to unravel as he delves into this killer is satisfying.

Kyra is complex and admirable. She gives her job her all, and as her past begins to come back to haunt her we begin to see why it’s so important to her.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is intrigued by a diabolical serial killer and the twists and turns the case often takes as lies are revealed and truths are uncovered.

“Ruin me.”

And she’ll enjoy every delicious second!

The king of Vallia never wanted to ascend to the throne. But in order to abdicate, Luca needs a good, old-fashioned disgrace. That’s where powerhouse PR pro Amy Miller comes in!

Amy’s revived the career of many a star. She can certainly torpedo that of a reluctant royal. But when instant attraction ignites with Luca, Amy’s soon starring in the scandal. And the fire burning between them is anything but fake news. But will this explosive flame be extinguished by what’s hidden in Amy’s past?

Unwittingly delightful! With the first book in the Signed, Sealed … Seduced series Dani Collins brings us a royal who wants just enough scandal behind his name to allow him to resist taking the throne. In WAYS TO RUIN A ROYAL REPUTATION public relations guru Amy sets out to help Luca hand the throne over to it’s rightful heir when the draw they’ve been feeling towards each other from the beginning turns them into unexpected tabloid fodder! Great characters, an enchanting setting and an overall feel good romance.

Luca is kind and wholehearted believes in correcting outdated policies so the throne he’s about to take actually goes to the correct heir, but he needs some help to do so.

Amy knows her fair share about scandal, so she wants to be absolutely sure Luca knows what he’s doing before unleashing it on him … if only their attraction to each other hadn’t already opened those doors before they were ready!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a little bit of modern day royalty mixed in with some romance and gossip.

Someone framed Everleigh Emerson.

And now they’ll stop at nothing to kill her…

Everleigh Emerson just escaped wrongful conviction for murder. That doesn’t mean she’s safe. After Clarke Colton witnesses an attempt on her life, the PI convinces Everleigh to let him help her—even if it means pretending to be her boyfriend. Everleigh trusts that Clarke wants to catch the killer who’s after her. But can she trust the attraction that’s growing between her and her protector?

High energy intrigue! With the second book in the Coltons of Grave Gulch series Tara Taylor Quinn brings us Everleigh and Clarke’s story in COLTON’S KILLER PURSUIT. If you read the first book in the series Everleigh will be familiar with you as the woman who was wrongly accused of murdering her soon to be ex-husband when evidence was planted against her. The story is fresh and entertaining and the characters are easy to like and sympathize with. I’m looking forward to more in the series!

Everleigh came into this book with anyone’s sympathy who read the first in the series because we knew she was set up for murder and that her grandmother had to go to extremes to get her case delved into further. I liked her and enjoyed watching Clarke become important to her.

Clarke is an all around nice guy and super easy to like. His family is mostly law enforcement, and there seems to always be more drama around the corner to keep their attention.

I recommend this book as well as the entire series so far to anyone who enjoys a fast paced mystery with a strong backbone of family and love.
