Vivienne
I did the last thing I ever expected to do. I bought a boat. A beautiful boat that was all mine to spend the summer on.
Only thing I was looking forward to was the calm being on the water brought me.
A place where I wasn’t a hockey dynasty princess or the only single girl of the family.
What I wasn’t looking forward to was the broody man in the boat next to me.

Xavier
I was at the top of my game two years ago.
Then it all came crashing down.
I hung up my skates and vowed to never play again.
I was good at hockey, but hockey was bad for me.
I planned to spend my life on my boat with my dog.
Alone. Happily alone.
Until she came along.

This adorably grumpy meet-cute will hook you quickly! With the second book in the Made For series, we are getting the baby of the family Vivienne’s story and it’s filled with so much sass that you won’t know what to do with yourself. The characters are addictive and there is a deeply emotional edge to this story that sets the stage for meaningful conversation and introspect. I loved their story!

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series and the prior ones also centering around this family to anyone that enjoys a hockey series with close knit friends and family gathering together in love and support of life, love and happily ever afters.

Two babies. One houseguest…

A forever family?

Midwife Lisandra panics when the hospital elevator gets stuck—just as her water breaks! Luckily, she’s trapped with obstetrician Malachi, who expertly cares for her. Having lost everything since her fiancé’s death, she has nowhere to go, so Malachi offers her and her babies a temporary place to stay. But living with the brooding workaholic is less convenient when a spark ignites between them! Could her knight in shining armor also become a father for her twins?

Highly addictive and unputdownable! I adored this book! From the drama that began on page one when her water breaks just as she gets stuck in the elevator with a handsome stranger, to the adorable babies stealing the show, to the warmth of seeing a former workaholic form a bond so consuming it makes him see the way to balancing more than one thing in his life. The characters are down-to-earth and really easy to like and their story is fast paced and heartwarming. Loved every minute!

She’s willing to give him everything in bed

But will she risk her career for passion?

Keely Tucker knows designing a showstopping wedding dress for a movie starlet is the career-making opportunity of a lifetime. But Jacob Chatman has sent her focus into a tailspin! When a blackout leaves her stranded with a rancher she can’t resist, their passion practically sets the sheets on fire. Jacob admires her drive…but is their hookup worth Keely risking her hard-earned ambitions for a life in Texas?

Tantalizingly addictive! With the second book in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: The Wedding series, we get dress designer Keely and rancher Jacob’s story and it’s deliciously steamy! The characters were intriguing and I enjoyed their connection, but it wasn’t one of my favorites in the TCC line up because the writing style and overuse of slang was distracting to a point but the chemistry that the couple had made them win me over regardless. The ending needed a little more to make it less abrupt and more fulfilling. I’m looking forward to more in the series!

Earning her trust

Is the start of his second chance.

Crab fisherman Gus Colman is just trying to make a living for his daughter. But when his fishing boat capsizes, he’s injured and stranded in Hearts Bay, Alaska, where he comes face-to-face with Mia Madden—his late best friend’s fiancée. As she helps him recover, he works hard to prove he’s changed. But could Mia ever love another man who risks his life at sea?

Heartfelt and deeply emotional! The third book in Heidi McCahan’s Home to Hearts Bay series is a winner all the way around. It brings a grieving fiancée face to face with the man she semi-blames for losing the love of her life while he sets out to prove he’s changed from his irresponsible ways and is now determined to give his precious little girl an ideal life. The back stories of each character are powerful and brings many emotions to the forefront of the storyline. His adorable little girl infuses a sweet innocence that will bring a smile to the reader’s face. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a faith based romance filled with grit and forever afters.

He can’t forget the kiss he shared with the best man.

But is he the best man for him?

His sister’s wedding isn’t the ideal place for Rafael Navarro to reconnect with the man he kissed in a moment of reckless abandon. But it’s impossible to avoid best man Étienne Galois! The gorgeous Haitian photographer hasn’t forgotten the intimate moment they shared, even if Rafi is the most maddening person he’s ever met. Can the two find common ground, proving opposites not only attract—they can become lovers for life?

Highly addictive and emotional! Sera Taino’s Navarro family series is continuing with a relationship between Val’s brother Ravi and Philips’s BFF Etienne and you are not going to want to miss this slow-burn, sassy gay romance! The characters are easy to like and the family dynamics pushing them together adds a warm setting for the start of their romance. I adored Etienne and loved the way he opened up his heart to Ravi. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sincere group of characters who have to deal with the ins and outs of life and how it shapes you on their way towards forever. I’m looking forward to more in the series!

This summer…

…will these opposites attract?

Taking a break from her high stress job, Frankie expected to be picking grapes on a vineyard—not running the restaurant instead! But the instant fireworks with her brooding new boss meant he was impossible to say no to—for all the right reasons. While Dante may seem uptight, Frankie enjoys how she can use her new carefree attitude to help unbutton this tempting tycoon and reveal his long-buried playful side…

Michelle Douglas always delivers a gorgeously depicted setting for her stories! The Tuscan countryside quickly comes alive in the reader’s mind as Douglas weaves a tale of a vineyard setting and begins to endear her heroine into our heart. The story is fast paced and rich with culture and emotion. I particularly liked Dante and his devotion to honoring his grandfather. I highly recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a romance filled with strong characters with a bit of drama on their way towards happily ever after together.

She’s seen too much

And he’s running out of time to save her…

The last person security expert Luke Patterson ever expected to see again is in desperate trouble. Claire Wallace witnessed her boss’s murder…and the killer is tearing her quiet life apart to find her. Luke will do anything to protect the childhood friend he never forgot. But as their secrets become an inescapable trap, will they survive to have any future?

I’m hooked and highly anticipating more in the series! Janie Crouch is kicking off a new San Antonio Security series for Harlequin Intrigue with a group of closely knit adopted brothers who began their own security biz after working in the military or for law enforcement for several years. The characters are highly addictive, the camaraderie between the brothers is heartfelt and the tension around keeping Clair safe is a thrill ride. I loved every minute of Clair and Luke’s story and can’t wait for Brax, Weston and Chance to shine in their own books in the series!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a highly intense bout of action and suspense mixed in with your romance.

He loved her once…

Can he risk falling for her again?

Since losing her son, Marcy has had a single focus: researching a cure for cancer. Meeting Dr. Dylan again is unexpected, and his compassionate warmth invades the fortress around her heart. Marcy’s even more beautiful than he remembers, but Dylan’s been abandoned too many times. As they fight for their patients’ lives, an irresistible passion flares between them. Dare they put themselves on the line again for a shot at happy-ever-after?

Sincere characters and addictive storylines quickly hooked me! The background of the heroine losing her young son to cancer was already pulling at my heartstrings even before I really got knee deep into the drama of this particular story so I knew it was going to be emotional. Dylan adds a down-to-earth stability to the cast and made him near and dear to my heart quickly. I enjoyed the connection they shared and living the turmoil right alongside them as they toiled to treat their patients and heal their own battered souls was rewarding. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a medical setting as the backdrop to your romance.

He was everything she didn't want and exactly what she needed.

She refuses to date him.

The daughter of the infamous Rake from the Wind Dragons MC, lawyer Natalie Ward knows all too well the problems that come with getting involved with a biker. That’s not for her—she’ll stick to suits over leather. And nothing will change her mind, especially not a sexy, built-like-a-Greek-god biker that rides for the Knights of Fury, another MC.

He loves a challenge.

Atlas is on a manhunt to find a rival gang leader and the last thing he needs is a distraction. But when he runs into Natalie at a bar with all her strength and beauty wrapped in a power suit, he can’t look away. He wants to forget her and running into her at every corner in town doesn’t make it easier. Being with her is impossible, but it’s the only thing that makes sense.

Never…say never.

When Atlas helps her get out of a difficult situation, Natalie can no longer ignore their growing attraction. But when a common enemy of both their clubs becomes a client at her law firm, she finds herself pulled into the very world she’s sought to avoid…

What a ride! I am really enjoying Chantal Fernando’s MC world and the roll-in of characters I’m already familiar with from her motorcycle custom shop series only makes it more sweet. The plot is thick with stressful moments as the hunt is still on for the culprits who are hurting the MC’s in town and watching Natalie and Atlas come together in a passionate connection is very satisfying. The characters hooked me quickly and the storyline carried me right up until the end. I’m looking forward to more to come in this world.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that enjoys a close knit group of MC members and their families along with neighboring friends and even other MC’s  who are there for each other when danger swarms.

The proposal…

…she vowed never to accept!

Life has taught orphan Quinn Harper to trust only herself. So, whilst her secret fling with billionaire Micah Gould was her first taste of passion, it wasn’t supposed to last forever. Although it gets harder and harder to pull herself away from his bed…

The abominable actions of Micah’s father have left a permanent mark. Love isn’t in his future. Then his relationship with Quinn is suddenly exposed and, in Berlin, a new possibility presents itself. Quinn could be the convenient bride Micah needs…but can he be what she deserves?

Fireworks are flying in the 3rd book in Dani Collins’ Four Wedding and a Baby series! Readers of the previous book in the series will recognize the characters and the set up quickly as it picks up shortly after Quinn outed her secret years long affair with her bestie’s brother Micah. The characters are endearing and easy to like, the plot is rich with strife and drama and the emotions are spot on. I wanted a bit more when it came to the ending and follow through of their happily ever after, but overall I enjoyed their story a lot.

I recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a bit of family drama with your romance.
