When two worlds crossover. From the This Is Series and The Southern Series.

Things are supposed to go smoothly on your wedding day.
Aren't they?

Sofia Barnes
I’ve always loved to play dress-up.
Creating fake weddings was my childhood pastime.
Now it is my dream come true.

I’ve finally been handed my first client.
But nothing could prepare me for who greeted me when I walked in.

He was my first kiss, my first everything, including my first and only heartbreak.
Now I have to plan his wedding.

Matthew Petrov
My family is filled with hockey royalty.
From my grandfather to my uncle to my father.
Now it is my turn to work my way up the leaderboard.
I had everything that I’ve ever wanted in my life.
Or so I thought.
Nothing could prepare me for coming face-to-face with Sofia.
I knew her inside and out.
She knew my inner secrets.
Two years ago, I let her go, and now she’s planning my wedding to someone else.
They say time heals old wounds. They lied.
Maybe she was just mine to take.

A gritty, complex reunion of first loves! Natasha Madison is pouring on the feels when her This Is series combines with her Southern series to bring us a wedding in the superstar Petrov hockey fam … but things don’t exactly go as planned when Matthew reconnects with his first love while he’s planning his wedding to another. There is no cheating involved, but it’s still a bit of a wonky approach to be rooting for Sofia when he’s with someone else, but it eventually evens out and true love wins.

Sofia is sweet and sincere and she tugs on the reader’s heartstrings rather quickly. I enjoyed seeing her grow in experience as she figured out whether her heart was willing to give him another chance.

Matthew is easy to see that he’s a good guy at heart, but he is really immature and needs grow up for real. I liked them together in the end, but he’s a bit much.

I recommend this book to anyone that loves to see soulmates reconnect even though they may have previously walked away from each other.

A determined bodyguard. A fierce heiress.
And death is just a shot away…

Silent, stealthy and professional, Weston Patterson is always two steps ahead of trouble—until he’s hired to bodyguard a woman he never expected to see again. Someone won’t stop until Kayleigh Delacruz is dead. But the feisty heiress is challenging Weston to keep her close as well as safe. Will the suspicions between their different worlds lock them in an endgame impossible to survive?

Non-stop intrigue mixed with an emotional reunion! The third book in the San Antonio Security series by Janie Crouch brings us Weston’s story. I was quickly hooked by not only Weston’s quiet nature and backstory, but also on the reunion of childhood friends aspect even before we got into the heart of the danger and romance. A really heartfelt connection was at work here throughout.

Kayleigh is sweet and sincere and I enjoyed getting to know her very much. She took the danger happening around her in stride and powered through to be supportive and loyal to her father.

Weston is my new fav! He’s sweet, he’s loyal and he’s an all around great guy … and getting to know that lost little boy inside of him from way back when was really rewarding.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who loves a close-knit family who is always there for backup when the going gets tough and even just when life needs a support system. Fast paced and addictive series!

She thought she had life all figured out.

But perfect doesn’t always mean it’s right…

Cate Penland once believed she could have it all—but that was before her fiancé left her at the altar in front of twelve hundred guests. Heartbroken and humiliated, Cate can think of only one thing to do: run.

But escape leads right to her nemesis, Prescott “Harry” Harrington III. They're ten years apart and not compatible. He might be lauded in their Atlanta social circles, but she doesn’t like him. He makes her feel prickly and all…something inside. Why is he rescuing her? Putting her up in his penthouse suite, offering a sympathetic ear—suddenly the older, wiser Harry is someone she can lean on…

Now Cate isn’t sure what she wants. The life she left behind…or the one she hasn’t quite found yet? The one thing she knows: she’s going home to Blossom Branch. Even if Harry says he’s coming with her. Maybe there, under the peach trees, is where she’ll find out what perfection really means…

Fast paced and addictive drama! The first book in Janice Maynard’s brand new Blossom Branch series was highly enjoyable. Cate is humiliated when her wedding doesn’t go off as planned, but the last person she would have ever expected coming to her rescue puts a major twist into her life. I felt like the town setting and characters as a whole could have been developed more to leave us eager to come back for a repeat visit, but overall Cate and Harry won my heart.

Cate is young and naive, but she has a good heart and is easy to like and root for as her story plays out.

Harry is accomplished and sincere as he helps her during her time of need and gently guides her to see her worth. I enjoyed his character very much.

I highly recommend this kick off to the Blossom Branch series to anyone that enjoys a small town romance with lots of feels and an enjoyable happily ever after.

Raised in a cult where opinions and freedom in women were not tolerated, Mara Greene narrowly escaped a life as a child bride—one where she would’ve been shared and owned by all the men in the compound.

Her testimony helped put the cult leader in prison, but she’s never truly gotten past the horrors inflicted on her. Her conditioning to keep silent persists even now—despite having found a safe haven at the Resting Warrior Ranch.

Here she’s safe, but still always alone and trapped in her silence.

Liam Anderson is always the first team member to crack a smile or a joke. No one—not even his Navy SEAL brothers—know about his painful past or the truth he hides behind his charming mask.

He’s captivated by fragile Mara and wants to help her heal. Watching her find her voice is the most amazing thing he’s ever known. And it doesn’t take long to realize she’s healing him just as much.

When Mara’s past resurfaces, Liam won’t let her face it alone. He’ll be her personal protector no matter what it cost.

No one is going to steal her voice again.

Heartfelt and addictive! The seventh book in the Resting Warrior Ranch series packs a punch of the feels when we finally get to know Mara’s background story and see Liam get his happily ever after. The characters are endearing and quickly stole this reader’s heart. There is tenderness, action, twists and most importantly love shining through. I really enjoyed them!

Mara has been a mainstay since the story started and we always knew her story was going to be something fierce, but it was even more than we could have ever expected. Watching her draw strength and conquer her fears was empowering.

Liam is a sweetheart and had me right from the start. I loved seeing his love and gentle heart show Mara how she deserved to be cherished.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that loves an action packed story filled with romance as couple after couple overcome the odds for true love to win.
