Her husband doesn’t remember her.

When Kate Monroe’s deceased husband suddenly appears, the profiler can’t believe her eyes. Declan Monroe has lost all of his memories, and Kate is struggling to figure out how to respond after finally overcoming her grief and moving forward. But with a killer targeting Kate, the pair will have to work together to outwit The Hunter in his murderous game…and find their way back to each other.

High intensity action! With book five in her always exciting Blackhawk Security series Nichole Severn delights her reader with quite the story in CAUGHT IN THE CROSSFIRE. Danger is lurking around every corner, lies are exposed and love in rekindled when Declan Monroe returns from the dead!

Kat is a force of nature. She survived the shootout that killed her husband and took her future from her and is finally coming over the hurdle of grief to get back to work and living again. When she discovers her husband is alive but remembers nothing about their life together, she has to once again use the strength in her soul to be side by side with him when to him she’s a stranger.

Declan is a powerful character. His memory loss is a pivotal part of the book and watching them reconnect despite the things he can’t remember is even sweeter because of it.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a suspenseful read with lots of heart.

He’s back to reclaim her…but where has he been?

What do you do when your husband goes missing? Flush him out by pretending to marry again! Billionaire Giovanni’s dramatic return forces Freja to confront the deep hurt she felt at his desertion…and the sparks that continue to fly between them…

Giovanni had to go into hiding to protect his new bride, but he’s shocked by the consequences his mysterious past had on Freja. Now he’ll have to let her in closer than he’s allowed anyone before if he’s to save the whirlwind marriage he’s suddenly so compelled to fight for!

Secrets are exposed and passion is reignited! As tempers flare and temptation abounds a groom returns from the dead just as his bride is seemingly about to commit to someone else in CONFESSIONS OF AN ITALIAN MARRIAGE by Dani Collins. I enjoyed the main characters and some of the story line premise but other aspects felt a bit disjointed.

Giovanni and Freja had a whirlwind courtship and only weeks after their wedding he’s believed dead. Only his bride doesn’t believe it and is determined to flush him out of hiding no matter the reason.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys their romance mixed with a show of wealth and mystery.

They’ve been warned to stay away,

But they won’t be deterred that easily.

To halt construction of a casino on Yaqui land, ranger Jolene Nighthawk plants damning evidence. But she’s caught by her ex Sam Cross, a Border Patrol agent with his own interest in the land…and Jolene. There may be bodies beneath the desert, victims of a murderous cartel. As Jolene and Sam investigate, they find that theirs may be the next bodies hidden in the Arizona sand.

Full of danger and intrigue! With the fourth book in her Holding the Line series Carol Ericson brings us BURIED SECRETS. The story kicks off the excitement from page one and continues turning up surprise after surprise throughout. I felt pulled in several different directions with this plot, but I enjoyed Jolene and Sam’s relationship progression a lot.

Jolene Nighthawk had my attention from the start when she buries false evidence in the dessert to get the casino groundbreaking halted. She’s determined to find answers before real evidence is destroyed.

Sam Cross is really easy to like. Jolene holds a grudge against him for their previous break-up but she also still cares for him a great deal and is willing to work with him towards their common goal of finding out what’s been going on out there in the dessert.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes a mystery to solve as a relationship develops and real life keeps interfering.

Fatherhood has changed him—

But can she risk her heart?

ER nurse Amara Patel is starting over. Running into her ex, physician Eli Collins, on her first day at Boston General throws a major wrench in the works! Because despite his still irrefutably sexy appearance, he’s not the Eli she remembers. He’s always put work first, but now that he’s bringing up his niece, everything’s changed—except his and Amara’s feelings for each other! Dare Amara allow herself a second chance at love?

A delightful second chance on love with intriguing characters, powerful back stories and tantalizing chemistry! Juliette Hyland quickly catches her reader’s attention with a reunion of college sweethearts who haven’t seen each other since their split a decade ago in FALLING AGAIN FOR THE SINGLE DAD. The characters were easy to like and the reunion uplifting but the real meat of the story was the turn of events that occurred in each of their lives that has shaped their future differently. I really enjoyed their story!

Amara Patel is a strong female lead with a dedication to nursing that serves her patients well. She’s never forgotten Eli, but she still isn’t sure that she can trust him to be invested in a relationship long term. She was a little less trusting than I thought he deserved, but I still liked her a lot.

Eli Collins is a sweetheart. He let the love of his life get away years ago and he regrets it to this day. When she steps back into his life as a colleague at the hospital, he sees it as his chance to right past wrongs, but he still has a tendency to get obsessed with being better.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys watching a couple reconcile and find their way to that ultimate happily ever after. The story line has a medical setting with a whole lot of feels in the mix!

As a Royal Protector, I can’t resist a damsel in distress...

Being an official bodyguard to the royal family of Limaj, isn’t just my job, it’s who I am. With lives depending on me, love isn’t on my duty roster.

Until I’m called in to protect a civilian. Smart, sexy and way too naïve for her own good... Solange is making me want things I shouldn’t.

When we’re together, I’m consumed. And now that I have her, there’s no going back.

Getting lost in her blue eyes could lead me down a dangerous path... but I’m prepared to protect what’s mine.

With a new enemy in Limaj and traitor among us... both our lives are at stake.

The problem is my loyalty. I’ve sworn an oath to defend the royal family at all costs.

What if the cost is her?

A touch of temptation is all it takes! With the next dip into her sexy Royal Protectors world Kat Mizera delights her readers with another alpha male meets spitfire damsel connection with AXEL. The danger is high during most of the book, the characters are well developed and the connection between them has us turning page after page to see what will happen. I’m enjoying this series a lot and looking forward to more.

Axel is an attention grabbing character. He’s hard and controlled when a mission calls for it, and kind and gentle with his friends and work family. He never expected to find love, and in all honesty didn’t want it … but she’s hard to resist!

Solange is sweet yet feisty and isn’t willing to settle for less than she wants in life if she can help it. She’s let her parent’s dreams hold her back, but she’s always envisioned more … and when terror strikes, she isn’t going to sit back and let it win!

I highly recommend this story as well as the entire series to anyone who loves high octane suspense mixed with a bit of royalty and romance.

About the Author:

USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author Kat Mizera is a South Florida native. Born in Miami Beach with a healthy dose of wanderlust, she’s called Los Angeles, Long Island, upstate New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Atlanta home. She’s never been able to pick which locale is her favorite, but if pressed, she’d probably choose the west coast.

A typical PTA mom with a wonderful and supportive husband (Kevin) and two amazing boys (Nick and Max), Kat can usually be found scrapbooking or indulging in her second love (after writing) – traveling. Greece is one of her favorite places in the world. She loves that Athens is a big city with a small-town feel. The food, beaches and culture keep her going back as often as possible.

Kat’s been a working freelance writer for nearly 30 years. She sold her first article–a review of a rock concert–for $10 in 1985. Since then she’s been an entertainment journalist, waitress, bartender, legal assistant, food critic, magazine editor, substitute teacher, and sports writer. She also spent some time working at A & M Records in Los Angeles.

As you can guess from her Las Vegas Sidewinders series, Kat loves hockey and occasionally writes articles about her favorite team, the Florida Panthers. The rest of the time, she writes novels: sexy, romantic fiction that she hopes makes you as happy as it makes her. There’s something enticing about hockey players and romance…

BULL
I lost my wife on a rainy night almost two decades ago.
Since then, my heart has been a barren wasteland.
It only knows love for family and the club.
And for revenge.
Then I meet Taylor and I know I’m doomed.
Because she’s everything I didn’t know I wanted.
Everything I’ve denied myself for years.
But my club is about to storm headfirst into a war and I can’t afford the distraction.
Yet I can’t get her out of my head.
We both say we’re not interested.
But we are both liars.

TAYLOR
For years we’ve been running from my past.
My kid brother and me.
Hiding in the shadows.
Now we have a chance for a new life in a new town … far, far away from trouble.
I crave freedom and a quiet, simple life for us both.
The last thing I expect is to fall for the enigmatic biker king, Michael “Bull” Western.
He is magnificent.
White-hot and scorching.
With the touch of an angel and eyes of the devil.
He could be the love of my life.
But I have a secret.
A very big secret indeed …

Emotionally raw and oh so sexy! With book six in her always exhilarating Kings of Mayhem MC series Penny Dee brings us the man we’ve all been waiting for. From the moment we learned early in the series that MC President Bull had lost his wife and shut himself off from everything but the club, we knew he was going to be intense, and he did not disappoint.

Bull is eye-catching! He’s alpha and tough, but when he cares about someone, he’s all in and showing his heart easily. Hearing his story was heartbreaking, but watching him find love again was awe inspiring. I couldn’t have loved him more.

Taylor was really easy to like in the beginning and watching her fight her feelings for Bull had me pulling for them right from the start. When the twist in her life enters the story line, I lost a bit of my enjoyment in her, but she was redeemed somewhat.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a close-knit motorcycle club who will fight to the death for their family. Always addictive characters and their happily ever afters are intense.

Amelia loves her good friend, Avery. So much so that she agrees to do the stupidest thing ever.

A stranger photo shoot.

You know the type. The photographer takes photos of two individuals. Two individuals that, until that day, have never met in their life.

The moment she shows up at the photo shoot, she knows that she made a terrible decision.

Why? Because the total stranger about to be in an intimate photo shoot with her is the hottest thing that’s ever walked the streets of Kilgore, Texas. If not the entire US of A.

***

Adam wasn’t sure why the hell he agreed to something so stupid.

Call it temporary lapse of sanity.

When the photographer who shot his photo for the Kilgore Police Department’s benefit calendar asked him for a favor, he couldn’t say no. Not without looking like a jerk seeing as it was benefiting the Fallen Officer Foundation that he played a rather large part in.

Whatever it was that made him agree, he quickly realizes that it’s not worth it. Not when he walks into the studio and sees the massive bed with blood-red sheets dominating the middle of the room.

So uncomfortable he is at the sight, he’s about to head straight out the door and not look back when she walks in.
Amelia steals his breath away with just one glance, and all of a sudden, getting this stranger into his arms with his mouth on hers sounds like the best idea ever.

Sexy, sweet and suspenseful! With book eight in her much loved KPD SWAT Generation 2.0 series Lani Lynn Vale brings on the heat once again with ANY DAY NOW and I loved it! The characters were fresh, the plot was attention grabbing and the instant attraction between the main characters brought on all the feels. I can’t get enough of this series and am looking forward to more!

Amelia is adorable. She’s feisty, she’s sweet and she’s just mouthy enough to constantly be getting herself into one fix or another.

Adam is yummy! He’s manly, he’s kind-hearted and his devotion to Amelia is gorgeous.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who loves an alpha cast of men who love hard. This group of friends and coworkers always have each others backs and watching them each find their happily ever after is extremely satisfying.

Mercy Callahan thought she'd escaped the cult decades ago, but its long fingers are reaching out for her again in this electrifying novel in the Sacramento series by Karen Rose.

Seventeen years ago. That was the last time Mercy Callahan saw Ephraim Burton, the leader of the twisted Eden cult where she was raised. But even though she escaped the abuse and terror, they continue to haunt her.

When her brother Gideon discovers new evidence of the cult's--and their victims'--whereabouts, Mercy goes to Sacramento to reconnect with him. There, she meets Gideon's closest friend--homicide detective Rafe Sokolov. From Rafe, she receives an offer she never knew she needed: to track down Ephraim and make him pay for everything.

But Ephraim, who had thought Mercy long dead, discovers she is in fact alive and that she is digging around for the cult's secrets. And now he'll do anything to take her back to Eden--dead or alive.

The queen of gripping suspense is at it again with book two in her Sacramento series! Karen Rose always brings the diabolical villains that we just can’t get enough of as we follow her main characters towards a happily ever after. If you read the first book in the series, you will recognize Mercy and Rafe and will be happy to reconnect with Gideon and Daisy a lot in this follow up story. This was a long book, but it didn’t lose my attention for a second and I’m so looking forward to more in the series!

Mercy Callahan is an attention grabbing character. We have the back story of her escaping the cult and trying to pick up the pieces of how to move forward, but we also have the budding romantic tension between her and Rafe that she ran away from in the first book.

Rafe Sokolov is awesome! He’s been Gideon’s best friend for years and took him into the center of his loving and overly intrusive family to belong to them. He can’t hide his happiness that Mercy has come back to town.

Headlines from the serial killer case weeks ago has Mercy front and center in the news and brings her haunting past back to life when the man her nightmares are made of finds her.

I highly recommend this book and this entire series to anyone who loves a thriller filled with tension and terror but also enjoys a couple surviving the odds and walking off into the sunset together. Looking forward to another reign of terror!

Sloane De Carlo is going to have to move to Antarctica.

As if it wasn’t bad enough that she accidentally made her private blog very public, and all her innermost secrets and embarrassing moments are trending, now the entirety of the Internet is dying to know who her all-consuming, never-get-over-him crush “Guy” really is. She’s even got a literary agent dangling a book deal in front of her nose—but there’s a catch. She’ll have to get closure with “Guy” and give her story that pitch-perfect ending.

Too bad the real “Guy” is engaged to someone else. #Blessed

The only person in her teeny hometown of Arbor Bay who knows the truth is local bartender Brady Knox. And he’s not telling...for a price. He’ll pretend to be Sloane’s “Guy” if she’ll use her newfound Internet fame to bring more business to his struggling local bar. Brady’s always been a lone wolf, but there’s something about the pint-sized, supremely awkward, yet beautiful Sloane that charms him.

But keeping secrets in a small town like Arbor Bay isn’t easy. And Brady was never meant to be the guy for a pitch-perfect ending...

A fake relationship starts feeling all too real in Anne Harper’s debut rom-com! FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT starts out on a fun premise of a woman who accidentally releases all of her teenage and more secrets while drunk one night. The characters have a cute connection, but an over abundance of slang was this author’s attempt at making funny moments and it just didn’t cut it a good bit of the time. I enjoyed the characters though, and their story was satisfying.

Sloane DeCarlo nabs a reader’s attention quickly when we learn she had a diary-like blog that she for some crazy reason decided to release into the public … and now has to endure the embarrassment of people sort of knowing her secrets and what she might have said about them.

Brady Knox is awesome. He’s sweet and down to earth and just what a reader wants in a hero.

A family ranch in Big Sur country and a legacy of Hollywood royalty set the stage for Nora Roberts’ emotional new suspense novel, Hideaway.

Caitlyn Sullivan had come from a long line of Hollywood royalty, stretching back to her Irish immigrant great-grandfather. At nine, she was already a star—yet still an innocent child who loved to play hide and seek with her cousins at the family home in Big Sur. It was during one of those games that she disappeared.

Some may have considered her a pampered princess, but Cate was in fact a smart, scrappy fighter, and she managed to escape her abductors. Dillon Cooper was shocked to find the bloodied, exhausted girl huddled in his house—but when the teenager and his family heard her story they provided refuge, reuniting her with her loved ones.

Cate’s ordeal, though, was far from over. First came the discovery of a shocking betrayal that would send someone she’d trusted to prison. Then there were years spent away in western Ireland, peaceful and protected but with restlessness growing in her soul.

Finally, she would return to Los Angeles, gathering the courage to act again and get past the trauma that had derailed her life. What she didn’t yet know was that two seeds had been planted that long-ago night—one of a great love, and one of a terrible vengeance…

A temptation of love and vengeance! With a tale centered around a family filled with Hollywood royalty, Nora Roberts takes her reader on an emotional journey of love and suspense in HIDEAWAY. The two families at the core of the story are well developed and extremely likable. The plot hooks the reader very quickly and while there are a few disjointed curves that take us from one point in the story to another, the heart of the story is very satisfying.

Caitlyn Sullivan is an endearing character who stole my heart right from the start. She manages to outsmart kidnappers as a child and make her way towards a safe haven that will get her back to her family, and just when we think we can’t like her more, she manages to pick up the pieces of her shattered world and go on to live a successful life.

Watching her come full circle and return to Big Sur and the guy who helped reunite her with her family all those years ago is a welcome twist that seems to only raise the intensity of the danger still swirling around her.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a drama filled book revolving around an accomplished family and the ups and downs of life’s circumstances.
