A delightful read! The characters are really easy to like and fall under the spell of their story. The plot had a few unexpected turns that kept it interesting, and despite dragging in a few places was a really enjoyable playground towards their happy ending!

When Olivia Gilmour’s twin sister Eliza needs a huge favor, Liv can’t say no to her. She has to swap places with Liz at her job for a week … but it won’t be a big deal because the boss is away! A surprise baby left on her desk changes things up drastically, and soon the boss is on his way home, and she ends up working side by side with him to take care of this innocent little one … and try to figure out who the mother is!

Sebastian Tyrrell has never felt an attraction towards his employee Eliza before, but when he returns home to this baby snafu, he’s instantly smitten! What is going on? Why does it feel so different with her now? And why does playing house with this baby alongside her feel so right?

Only when Morgan’s bedrock-solid life is shaken to its foundation by an unexpected event do he and Hannah finally end up on common ground and head for the altar.

A super quirky take on a romance … but in the end, it works! Hannah doesn’t believe in love and marriage … yet she’s engaged to the man of her dreams! Morgan is a great guy who is patient and loving with her as she works her way through her issues. It was really easy to dislike the way she treated him … but I also felt sorry for the life she had been subjected to early on that led to her hang-ups. It’s an unusual take on a romance, but by the end I was really invested in their story and pulling for their happy ending.

Hannah Quarles has found the man of her dreams … only she knows it won’t last! She’s seen too much in her time and knows that love doesn’t last forever. She shouldn’t lead him on, but he’s such a great guy! When he places a gorgeous engagement ring on her finger, she can’t help herself … she says yes! But now she has to figure out how to stall setting the date long enough for it all to fall apart beforehand.

Morgan Webber adores Hannah and wants to spend his life with her. He’s not so wrapped up in love that he can’t see that she’s hesitant and not really “all in” like he is. He only hopes his love will prove to her that he’s there to stay. When he pushes to set a date, she comes up with yet another delaying tactic … a new type of premarital counseling that centers on sex. Say what?!?! Oh she’s not going to get away with it this time, he’s going to call her bluff and do the counseling in exchange for a wedding date!

The Delaney family is really down to earth and fun to spend time with, and I’m looking forward to more to come in this trilogy!

I adored him from the start, and look forward to seeing glimpses of him again in future books. Great characters, with a super easy to fall into dialogue and plot.

Bullet Whiskey is a gruff, take no attitude type of guy. He loves his family, his dog and his motorcycle club and will do anything to protect what’s his. When his sister brings a sweet little thing on board to expand the offerings on the menu at the family bar, he’s not sure what to make of her. He wants her on sight … but she already blew him off once, and she’s too petite, classy and sweet for the likes of him!

Finlay Wilson needs this job in order to get her catering business off the ground now that she’s moved back to her hometown in order to be close to family again. She’s had a lot of loss in her life, and she just wants a chance to hold those dear to her close for awhile. She really shouldn’t be drawn to Bullet at all … he’s so totally the opposite of anything she’s ever wanted. He adores things she’s terrified of, he’s borderline obnoxiously blunt, and he’s basically sex on wheels … so why does she find herself virtually swooning every time he gives her that steamy look??

“It’s a mistake, Dixie.” He moved around the bar and stood beside her. “A pretty little thing like her is just asking for trouble in a place like this. Why are you so hung up on hiring Finlay anyway? Did you even check with our club members to see if anyone needed a job?”

“You know, sometimes I forget that you have so much Dad in you, it’s like beating my head against a brick wall.”

“What the fuck does that mean?”

“That you’re as hesitant to hire outside the family as he is. That you think if someone’s not in the club or one of us, they can’t do shit.”

“Jed’s working here, isn’t he?”

The fact that she was not his to worry about did not escape him. “We’re offering sandwiches and fries, not gourmet meals.”

“Which makes her the perfect person for this job. She knows how to keep costs down, and she’s from Peaceful Harbor. She’s putting down roots here, which means she’ll want to see the business do well—so it doesn’t reflect poorly on her. What do you have against Finlay, anyway?”

“Against her? Nothing.” Though he’d like to be buried deep inside her. “But she’ll get eaten alive in a place like this and she’ll go cowering out the door. Then we’ll be left trying to figure shit out anyway. Besides—”
