** Book Review ** SOPHIE’S PATH by Catherine Lanigan

Sophie's Path

4 1/2 STARS!

A sweet story about close-knit small town life, the sadness of guilt and most importantly about how helping someone else in even the smallest way could be the world to that other person.

Sophie Mattuchi is a great nurse and loved by many, but when a patient in the ER blames her for not doing enough to save his friend one night, it makes her second guess herself.  She knows she does a good job, but could she have done more?  She’s never cared this much about what a man thought about her before, and she’s not so sure she likes it!

Jack Carter knows in his heart that he’s being unfair to Sophie, but it’s almost like he needs someone else to share in the guilt he feels from that night.  The more times he runs into Sophie, the more he likes her and can’t pretend like he doesn’t.  She’s such a kind, caring person and helps everyone she can.

When Sophie and Jack admit to the attraction they feel for each other, will they be able to have a future or will that niggling of blame he still feels towards her always rear it’s ugly head and ruin things?

Hiding out with a handsome protector, on the run for her life, was so beyond anything Kenderly had imagined. 4 STARS!

In this first book of her Texas Rangers:  Elite Troop series, Angi Morgan weaves an exciting manhunt involving an undercover Texas Ranger and the only witness he has available to the crimes he’s trying to bring to justice!  They fight for their lives and attempt to outrun the hitmen hot on their tail!

To say Kenderly Tyler was in the wrong place at the wrong time is putting it mildly!  Simply by happenstance, she is the witness to a heinous crime, and only Texas Ranger Garrison Travis is there to protect her.  He gets her out of there and tries to keep her safe, but roadblocks keep sending them scurrying in different directions trying to stay out of the hands of the mobsters, and at the same time, trying to find out who’s behind all of the info getting leaked.

When attraction is too hard to resist, will these two be able to look forward to a future together when this is all over, or will too many lines have been crossed to allow them that freedom?

Introduced to Harlequin romances by her grandmother, she went through Junior High waiting for the next visit to “Mommie’s” house. There, she’d search through the inside cover corners for checkmarks, aunt’s initials, and her favorite phrase: Okay for Angi. That’s right, her aunts and grandmother censored which stories she could borrow. Reading gave her a love for the Harlequin name and story. She still has a lot of her grandmother’s books. Angi keeps reading and thinking romance, falling in love with the “Happily Ever After” for each hero and heroine.

An 11th generation Texan, Angi utilizes her strong heritage to create passionate characters willing to risk everything. She writes Intrigues where honor and danger collide with love. When the house is quiet, she plots ways to engage her readers with complex story lines, throwing her hero and heroine into situations they’ll never overcome…until they find the one person they can love.

Angi had several jobs before taking the opportunity to stay home with her children and develop the writing she always wanted. Volunteer work led to a houseful of visiting kids and a joyful but on-the-go lifestyle. With their three children out of the house, Angi concentrated on her work, finding her dream agent and editor. She and her husband live in North Texas with only the four-legged ‘kids’ to interrupt her writing. Tex, Roxie & Little Dude keep Angi and her characters company, reminding her to occasionally take time off to play.
