Keeps us guessing! I enjoyed the character interactions and the way the plot kept us on our toes trying to figure out who was behind everything, whether they would get them out safely, and whether there would be a future relationship to come out of it all!

Northstar Security agent Riley O’Neal isn’t happy about posing as someone’s husband in an undercover operation, but when he finds out it’s with the woman he hasn’t been able to get off his mind for the last year, he’s willing to take his chance!

US Army Lt Mary “Chip” Anderson is gung ho to help catch the enemy because she has a vested interest in the outcome. Working closely with a man she has an attraction for isn’t ideal, but she’ll be able to handle it!

When Chip is kidnapped in a botched rescue attempt of the hostage, will Riley be able to keep his cool and get her back before time runs out?

ER nurse Jane Foster has always been the good girl, and so when she meets these two hunks and gets the opportunity to live life on the bad side for one night, she’s super tempted! Steamy sex with a gorgeous football player? YES PLEASE! So what if his friend is going to stay and watch … she’s still game!

When a chance encounter has her crossing their path again a few months later, they decide they can’t let a gift like that slide by without jumping on it. “You do tempt me,” she whispered, her smile in place. “I didn’t realize it was mutual though.”

“Now you do.” And maybe she’d be more circumspect.

“Because I’m convenient?” she asked. “Or somewhat—” her expression pinched “—desperate?”

The uncertainty twisted his guts. He glanced at her mouth. “Because you’re hot.”

Her teeth bit into her bottom lip. “You really think so?”

Intuitively knowing she needed to hear it, he shared his thoughts. It wasn’t in the best interest of his sanity, but he liked seeing her blush.

Another great book in Mackenzie Crowne’s Player series! We’ve seen V be the hard-nosed sports agent previously and even seen her be a loyal friend, but we haven’t seen the softer side of her that comes out when we finally get the story of her past and what made her who she is today. Her turmoil really touches your heart!

Victoria Price is loving her new job as the PR Coordinator for the Manhattan Marauders football team, but her newest assignment just might be end of it when it’s barely begun!

She came from a hard life, and when he chose to give up so much in order to rescue her from it, she took on the additional burden of knowing how much she had cost him. It doesn’t stop her from constantly wanting him, but it makes her understand why he can’t possibly want her back.

Considering the circumstances when they met, Archer feels like his desire for Elle is wrong. He’s worked hard to show indifference to her all of these years, but when he sees her starting to want more in her life, it drives him crazy to see her possibly reach for it with someone else!

Will these two stubborn people be able to put aside their pride long enough to see that the other loves them too?

My favorite color is …

I love greens – the bright light green of a new leaf, the rich green of moss and the gray-green of the winter Atlantic.

My favorite place to read is …

The bathtub. I trickle warm water in when the temperature gets chilly. I have learned to hold my eReader over the bathmat so if I nod off, it lands on the mat and not in the tub!

Now that I’m in Florida, I am beginning to love reading on the beach under a big old umbrella (Natural Redhead – Keep out of direct sun)

My favorite snack is … Gingersnaps! I also love a bowl of cereal as an evening snack.

My favorite type of music is … A wide variety. I often write to opera or movie soundtracks. I love to sing to musicals and torch songs like “Someone to Watch Over Me” and “As Time Goes By” and I have some favorite artists like Rufus Waynewright, Dolly Parton, Jimmy Buffet, Patsy Cline, Frank Sinatra, Toby Keith, Jack White and Bruno Mar…and The Beatles. My favorite Beatles song is Paperback Writer, of course!

My favorite hot beverage is … Oh, coffee. Definitely. The darker the better.

My favorite type of flower is …

Snow drops for being the first flower to bloom, often right through the ice. Crocus because it is the first spring bloom to bring color.

Redbud is my favorite flowering tree for its color and interesting blossoms that grow right out of the trunk.

Lilac & Iris– I love the color and the fragrance.

Verbena – this is what I wear as a perfume, a favorite for the sweet and crisp scent

My favorite time of day is … Morning. I enjoy getting up before sunrise when the house is quiet. I get my coffee and collect my thoughts, power up the computer and get to work.

My favorite candy is … It would be easier to tell you what is not my favorite because I love nearly every kind of candy. I am not a fan of licorice or the sour candies.

My favorite hobby is … Scuba diving. It is the closest thing to flying that I have ever experienced. Swimming is a close second.

My favorite place to vacation is … I like road trips, especially to national and state parks. I recently traveled through Arizona, seeing the lovely red rocks of Sedona and the White Mountain Apache Reservation. One of the best unplanned stops was the Saguaro (pronounced: sa-gwar-o) National Park for some of the most spectacular cactus you will ever see and an amazing assortment of wildlife and arid vegetation. A side trip to Bisbee was the inspiration for my upcoming APACHE PROTECTORS: TRIBAL THUNDER series. “You’re the best, mister.” The kid had to get his smile from his mother, Diego decided. Because not once could Diego remember Ramsey’s smile making him want to offer one in return.

“Diego,” he said after a second, figuring talking was better than standing here on the sidewalk, grinning like an idiot. “You can call me Diego.”

“Cool. I’m Nathan. I’m seven. I’m gonna be a stuntman when I grow up. Or a veterinarian. I’d rather be a Jedi warrior, but Mom says we’ll see about that one. She says that about a lot of stuff. We’ll see. What are you?”

Huh? Was that a question? The kid’s expression said it was, so Diego did a mental replay.

“I’m in security,” he said, using the cover Savino had decided on.

“Bet you’re good at it.” Grabbing the bike by the handles, the kid gave it a good shake, then grinned when the chain stayed in place. “You’re good at fixing things, too. Maybe you could teach me to fix some things?”

Diego didn’t have much experience with kids—hell, he didn’t have any experience. Despite that, he had to figure this one was something special.

Before he could answer him, a delivery truck rumbled its way to a stop in front of the kid’s house. Something he’d noticed was a regular occurrence. At least once, sometimes twice a day.

“You sure get a lot of deliveries,” he observed, watching a guy in shorts carry a stack of boxes toward the door.

“Yeah. Mom gets tons of stuff. She decorates for people’s houses. She orders pillows and bowls and things like that. Sometimes she gets material and things to help her decide colors.”

Convenient. Or it would be if Ramsey were running drugs or stolen goods—that’d be a solid cover. But unless he’d shipped himself home in an ash can, it probably wasn’t pertinent. Lansky would claim otherwise, though, so Diego made a note to mention it in his next report.

He caught a flash of something out of the corner of his eye. All it took was a casual glance toward the house to send him rocking back on his heels.

Damn.

Not even signing for a slew of packages and fending off the flirtations of the delivery guy were enough to keep Harper Maclean from sending her son a protective frown.

So far his glimpses of her had been at a longer distance than the twenty feet currently separating them. Her photos didn’t do her justice. He’d known she was a looker, but no way he’d have thought fully dressed in person could trump that bikini shot, even if that bikini shot had been kind of blurry.

He’d have been wrong.
