Six foot two of raw masculinity is her best witness protection

Face-to-face with the woman who jilted him, Colin O'Brien tells himself he's over her. What the charming rancher doesn't know is that the man Melissa Roark Rancic married has forced her—and her infant daughter—to live a charade of love. And now, about to testify to his criminal deeds, she's shaken by rekindled feelings for Colin and scared that he'll discover her child is his.

Though angry, Colin vows to protect Melissa from her vengeful ex…while safeguarding his own heart. But once he steps up, he can't step away. No danger can keep Colin from the woman he never stopped loving.

With the next book in her Cattlemen Crime Club series, Barb Han brings us the next O’Brien brother’s story! This has been a solid family with a lot of secrets and drama surrounding them as they hunt for answers. Colin is the latest to meet his match and fall for the last woman he thought he’d be hooked up with again! The cast of characters is enjoyable and the overall suspense has been good in the series … this one fell a little flat, but still a solid part of the series.

Shaken by the life that she’s been living for the last year, Melissa Roark Rancic takes one desperate attempt to find closure by re-visiting the man who’s heart she broke. She married another man, a horrible man … and only she knows her reasoning. Now set to testify against him, she needs to keep her daughter safe and is willing to do anything to do so.

Colin O’Brien’s family has been through a lot lately, and when he sees his ex-fiance at their annual fundraiser, he’s fit to be tied. She flees at the sight of him, so he goes to track her down himself to see what would make her enter his domain again. When he learns that she and her innocent daughter are in danger, he won’t let anything stop him from keeping them safe … even before he realizes that baby looks an awful lot like him!
