A satisfying debut thriller! J.M. Winchester normally writes happily-ever-afters under another name, so I wasn’t sure what to expect going into her first psychological thriller, but she held her own quite well. The back story was secretive enough to keep us guessing well into the book, and the turmoil the heroine and her child faced was riveting. Winchester stayed a bit true to her roots and left us with a semblance of a HEA with a twist, but there was also a little quirk involved. Recommended to anyone wanting some mystery and mind games without all the gore.

All the Lovely Pieces is a thriller centering around a mother who’s been on the run with her child for years from a brutal husband and a night she can’t exactly remember. The back story is given in small doses while weaving her current life in the mix as well as the husbands current machinations.

Elena doesn’t trust herself anymore after picking a bunch of losers, but she can’t turn her back on the instant pull she feels towards Benjamin. Their connection is full of heat and sass.

If you love an angst ridden hero who isn’t so sure he ever wants to put his heart on the line again after heartbreak, this story is for you. You can’t go wrong with any book in the series so far, but this one was particularly emotional and I highly recommend it.

A delightful read! Falling for the Pregnant Heiress is Book 3 in Susan Meier’s Manhattan Babies series and is a brother’s best friend with a twist of a surprise baby story. I was quickly enthralled with the characters and along for the ride towards their happily ever after.

Trent Sigmund was quick to grab my heart. He was the first to notice when she was out of sorts and stepped up to help her in honor of his best friend. As his character developed he only endeared himself further with a sad back story. Really enjoyed him!

Sabrina McCallan is attractive because she steps up and honors the things she feels like she needs to accomplish and doesn’t let a knock here and there get her down.

Really enjoyed Trent and Sabrina’s story!

Dalton grabbed my attention from the start because he truly seems like he loves his estranged wife and was clueless that she was at the end of her rope.

Erin seems tough at first because we come into their relationship after all of the turmoil has occurred, but as the story unfolds, we realize what drove her to say she was done.

This book and the one prior took place in the great outdoors, showcasing national parks and gorgeous sites. It was fast pace, full of intrigue and satisfying. I’m looking forward to more in the series!

I’ve so been waiting for this book! One Year Home is the highly anticipated follow-up to Marie Force’s beloved Five Years Gone novel that stole all of our hearts last year. It’s a reawakening of a lost soul with a chunk of forbidden romance added into the mix and quite the emotional roller coaster.

John West already had my heart on a string going into the story, and watching him mourn for Ava was heart wrenching. I really enjoyed Ava and Eric’s happily ever after in the first book, but watching John be the one left behind is hard.

Julianne Tilden is a breath of fresh air. She brings each scene to life when confronting this broken man and forcing him to live again. Their connection sparks early and often.

I highly recommend you read Five Years Gone prior to digging into this follow up story because the first book delivers the emotional punch to let you go into this book understanding the turmoil properly. Overall, the story line as a whole has been amazing and sincerely unputdownable! Amazing characters, great depth to the emotions portrayed by everybody involved and a joy to read!

Ethan Knight is particularly satisfying to read about because we’ve already read about his life being torn apart by secrets and lies in his brother’s books previously, so we already have a great deal of empathy towards this man who deserves to find his happily ever after.

Sienna Dare brings us back into the Dare family who has been beloved for years and we get to see the story from her point of view and watch her thrive in the family that she didn’t think wanted her for so long.

The story was fast paced and satisfying every step of the way. I thoroughly enjoyed every page and wish there had been even more to read about with this couple and these families overall. The Knight Brothers series has been filled with love, angst, family strength and has simply been a joy to read. You can’t go wrong with any book in the series, but this one in particular snagged my heart early!

“Okay, I’m in the bathroom, door closed. What in God’s name is going on?” Thank God Avery did as she was told.

“I found the guy. The one. He’s in the other room now and I’m freaking out!” She didn’t tell Avery who she was with. Her half sister and best friend would pick up on the pertinent details.

“Oh my God. You’re going to lose your virginity!” Avery squealed.

“Shh! Just tell me I can do this. I need to know I’m not crazy.”

Avery’s breathing sounded over the phone, and then, “You waited this long. If you’ve found the guy, you’ve found the guy. Now pull up your big-girl thong and get back in there!”she instructed.

Laughing, which broke the tension and was just what Sienna needed in the face of Ethan’s intensity, she relaxed, comfortable again with her decision. “I’m going. Thank you! Bye!”

She breathed out, brushed her teeth, and went to undo her dress only to find she couldn’t reach the back herself. So that was how it was going to go.

The plot is interwoven with several side stories that are on-going in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: Houston series. I found the book to be very entertaining and satisfying. Some secrets are still left to be uncovered in the series, but we are getting closer to some answers!

Roarke Perry was particularly intriguing because his parentage is being gossiped about and he has to decide to what degree he wants to dig into it.

Annabel Currin has a lot more going for her than just her money as the daughter of a successful oil family. She’s sweet, she’s sassy, and she’s determined to make life better for others.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for family drama, secret scandals and scintillating romance! Really enjoying the Houston sub-series of the Texas Cattleman’s Club as a whole, and the individual books so far have all been delightful. Looking forward to more to come!

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a steamy read and previously spurned characters who have to work through their past in order to reach their happily ever after. Really enjoying this series as a whole and especially this book!
