Potent sex appeal at it’s best! Really loving this series by Lori Foster. Former MMA fighters turned bodyguards … they bring the lethal edge of power that their bodies exude, along with the steamy, raw passion they put into their work, as well as their women. Generally nice guys that warm up the pages! Looking forward to more to come!

Justice Wallington left his career in MMA fighting to join his buddy Leese Phelps as a bodyguard at the Body Armor Agency. He’s really enjoying his job, but he’s not sure how to read this latest assignment. There seems to be no danger, but extremely over-protective parents to a not so young daughter.

Fallon Wade suffered a huge tragedy and her parents sheltered her from as much of life as they could afterwards. She adores them and they her, but she really is ready for her chance to live … and just breathe! She just wants to try the simple things … a drink, talking and mingling with people in public, going to the movie, etc.

Justice doesn’t expect to feel drawn to her, but she’s a really kind person, and she just touches something in him without even trying. The fondness and attraction is very mutual … and Fallon begins to blossom under the new experiences she is sharing with Justice. When actual danger comes knocking, will he be able to keep his personal feelings in check while he keeps her safe?

A really nice continuation of The Sauveterre Siblings! I didn’t fall quite as deep into Henri’s story as I did with Angelique’s in the first book, but close. I really enjoy the family dynamics of this group of siblings and especially how close their lives have made them. We saw a hint of trouble in paradise with Henri & Cinnia in the first book and now we get to know exactly what has happened and what the future holds for them. Looking forward to the upcoming books in the quartet!

Cinnia Whitley is a headstrong, independent woman who wants it known to all that she doesn’t need a man to complete her, and she deals with her business and personal decisions on her own. She reluctantly agreed to a fling with Henri Saveterre even though he made it clear from the beginning that it had no future. When she finds herself pregnant … with twins! … she decides to remove herself from the relationship before she has to blow his world apart by adding more responsibility that he very clearly doesn’t want.

Henri is not happy at all when he finds out from another source that Cinnia is pregnant, and he especially doesn’t like that she played a bit of a mind game with him as she left the relationship without telling him. Considering his family history of danger to his loved ones, he insists she move in with him right away so he can make sure she and the babies are protected. This was exactly what Cinnia didn’t want … to be more of a burden … if only he could really love her …

A great first book in the series gives us the background of how their parents died and the girls came to live with their uncle. He was a womanizing bachelor, but he took his sister’s kids in and raised them. Now they all work for his firm as publicists to a lot of hot sports guys! Great characters, a lot of fun family interaction and some hot chemistry between the main characters keep us interested and intrigued throughout.

Annabelle Jordan has always been attracted to the hot, muscular guys they represent, so former football player Brandon Vaughn is no different. She sets out to help him manage some bad publicity that is coming up in regards to his new retreat that he’s building … but will she be able to keep her hands off of him?

Vaughn used to be her uncle’s star client until his ex-wife got her hands into his business. Yank was always really good to him, and he’s glad he’s finally getting a chance to make up the underhandedness to him and feel like part of his family again. He just hopes his attraction to his niece isn’t his downfall again! Will they succeed in finding out who is setting his retreat up to fail before it’s too late?

Another hot athlete takes center stage as The Hot Zone series continues. Yank and his nieces are still full force into managing athletes and the like! I enjoyed the continuation of the series, but didn’t connect with Micki and Damian quite as much as I did with Annie & Vaughn in the first book. I still enjoyed them and their story though!

Micki Jordan has always been the tomboy of the family, but she’s set her sites on a steamy baseball player, and thinks she’s going to have to pull out all the stops and get a little girly in her appearance to snag him!

Damian Fuller noticed Micki even when she wasn’t dolled up, but he knows he’s not the type of man she needs. He’s full-force ahead with his career and can’t afford distractions and she deserves so much more than that.

When he has a couple of scandals hit the fan and Micki steps in to help, they can no longer fight their desire for each other and have a fling … but he tries to forget her and continue allegiance to his career soon after it’s through … but life has a way of doing whatever it wants and he finds himself having to follow along and forge a new way of thinking!

The third sister gets her chance to shine in Carly Phillips third book The Hot Zone series! I liked the sweet interaction between these two even before things turned steamy, They are an unlikely pair, but so good together when they finally let their guard down!

Publicist Sophie Jordan is at the top of her game when she has everything scheduled and running like clockwork, but in the current chaos that is erupting around her at The Hot Zone after the merger with Spencer Atkins’ company, she’s at her wits end. The instant attraction dimmed a bit in this continuation of The Hot Zone series. Luckily they find their way back to each other later in the book and the excitement builds again. Fun characters with lots of family drama, work overload and funny antics of the cast around them keep us entertained and wanting more.

Professional baseball player John Roper was at the peak of his career a few short months ago, and then he hit a slump … and it went from bad to worse. He’s trying to rebound in the off season to come back fighting hard when the season starts, but his family is driving him crazy. He can’t take care of his body’s needs to heal and train if he can’t get a minute to himself.

Amy Stone has taken a job with her Uncle Spencer’s company and is now living in NY and working at The Hot Zone. She and John have a little chemistry explosion the second they lay eyes on each other and when they end up working together, they have to recommit to getting to know each other and forging a working relationship. Can she manage to wrangle his family for him and get him concentrating on himself and his comeback before it’s too late?

Lots of drama with well developed characters and story lines.

Kayla Rickard is in quite the predicament. Not only has she been having a fling with the son of her father’s sworn enemy, but she secretly married him and they’re now expecting a surprise baby! The last thing she wants to do is disappoint her parents, but it’s not like this is the type of thing she can sweep under the rug.

Liam O’Sullivan wants his wife by his side. It feels empty in his house without her, but she still persists on staying at her apartment too much and refuses to tell their families about them. Now that she’s pregnant, she has to see that it’s way past time. He’ll do anything to be able to share his life in the open with her … even try to figure out what caused the feud that made their formerly friendly fathers begin to hate each other. When they get way more than they bargained for and huge secrets are exposed, they are left to deal with the fallout in addition to exposing their relationship.

The characters were well developed with detailed looks into what made each of them into the person you see in front of you as you unravel the story. I was invested from the first page and kept hoping for that happy ending. I can’t wait to see what’s to come in the future books of this series.

Cora Kelly loves her family and the life that they’ve blessed her with all of her life, but she has a burning desire to know more about her birth mother. Without her parent’s support, she sets out to find answers … and finally after many years, she has a start! It has brought her to the New Horizon’s Boys Ranch and a year-long job … a chance to get to know the owner Aiyana Turner … her mother. She doesn’t know if she will ever tell her who she is, or if she will even want to once she gets to know her … but she needs this chance at a connection.

Aiyana’s adopted son Elijah helps run the ranch, and even though it’s the last thing she needs to add to her plate, Cora can’t deny the intense draw and attraction she feels for him. He has a brutal past behind him and isn’t big on letting his guard down and trusting. Will she be the one to break through his walls?
